Russ is making powerlifting cool, we need more of this hype in the sport if it's gonna keep growing
Powerlifting is a niche market and it will stay that way.
Honestly rule changes need to be made for it to ever be mainstream I love powerlifting and plan on competing this year but I doubt it’ll be popular anytime soon glad guys like Russ and other lifter like Taylor bring stuff to the sport

While bench arches are a problem I doubt it stops people from getting into the sport

I think this year's worlds season was my favourite. They really upped the quality of the training arc this time.
Been waiting on this since watching it live. Glad doohan was able to put it together so quickly too since he didn’t film it! Loved the suit walk in, reminds me a lot of how NBA players walk in before a game. Congrats on the win though Russ, despite having to turn off the intensity and then switching back into that mindset, going off prep a bit because of it looking unlikely you’d compete, you still did it and more importantly did great! Huge inspiration bro and can’t wait to see what you do next! 🙏🏻

Secondly, Olympic lifting is different in terms of a lot things. From the lifts, the committees involved etc. Not to mention powerlifting itself isn’t looked at as a sports in the olympics. There’s tons of articles explaining the exact details of it all but from the top of my head that’s all I really know. Hope that helps!
