• The Rise of Russel Orh...
Russel Orhii went into his first ever powerlifting meet having only deadlifted a couple times prior. 5 national titles and 2 world titles later, he's become the boogeyman of the 83kg class.
Dominating almost every meet he's competed in, Russ' performances have been nothing short of incredible.Although he's failed some lifts, and hasn't always been his best...he still manages to win at the end of the day.
In this retrospective let's go back and relive every career lift of Russel Orhii, the king of the 83kg class.

@@gunnaschanelbag yes bc ur sumo ego lifting lmfao
If any content is going to grow this sport it’s these types of videos. Biographies of top people powerlifters careers in a professional, interesting video. I hope you keep going man.
A contrasting video between Joey Borenstein and Austin Perkins rises to the top at young ages & a future outlook for the both of them would be super interesting.
i loved this entire video thank you for making and editing it
Amazing video, thanks for that.
Love or hate the man this story is an example of undeniable greatness and repeated wins at the highest level of the sport...
Loved this! Russel has to be one of the biggest powerlifting influences out there
Terrific quality!
Amazing video. Awesome narration
amazing video man!
I remember being introduced to Russel in 2018 at IPF worlds. I love seeing a junior lifter win in the open, which Russel almost did in 2018. It lets us know who will become the next dominant force in powerlifting as their body continues maturing. Russel reminded me of John Haack from the 2016 worlds; both juniors breaking open records at their respective times. Despite aging out in 2019 Russel still won at the young age of 24 and is still pretty dominant today.
Bro this video was amazing i was expecting way more views. Keep this up and youll be huge bro.
Appreciate the support! 💪🏾🙏🏾
I’ve followed Russ since he had sub 10k he deserves it.
Love to see a new upload, bro should have more subscribers with these type of documentary type videos

King of the 83s is a tough as nickname
my goat
Bro you got to do a vid on ssjbobb, his journey is amazing as well!
Bahhhhh 🐐🐐
2:04 the 7 people who "beat" russ were single- ply/equipped lifters but i guess the meet director just clumped everyone together
🔥🔥
Not that it's a big problem, but maybe you want to use kilograms? Seeing as the IPF, USPA, USAPL use kilograms too. Sounds weird to hear "1.1 pounds" personally
Thanks for the feedback!
@@LargeKoffii appreciate you using lbs
Agreed. Or maybe add pounds and kgs side by side.
this is america 🦅🦅🦅
Agreed, maybe not switch entirely to kilos but as someone who's more familiar with the metric system rather than imperial, could just put the kilo conversions in the texts. Otherwise, great vid!
bro is him
Russel orhiis reign of terror on sarm dealers
Great video would be good if weights were included in kg as well though
Very cool video but the changes in audio volume are insane. Going from you whispering to crowd cheering and back has my volume slider working overtime. Just fyi because the video is quite well put together comparatively.
Please do Joey borenstein this was great.
YAAA FREEDOM UNITS 🇺🇸🍔💪🦅
Does any1 know if 90kg squats is good at 64kg bw i only just started taking it seriously
the glazing is real, great video tho
Please do that with others powerlifters
John haack vid nextt
Truly wish you'd use metric for your content. Or atleast put them side tk side
I thought strongmen eating 9000+ calories was part of the job and not a novelty. At least when shaw did was one of his early ones, he explained some sort of rationale behind his plan.
I want to see strongman on youtube lift heavy stuff and prep well. (Eg thors 501 prep series)
Wait Until he gets a load of me
I can barely hear what you're saying and then BOOM inserting competition at 10,000% volume. Dude mix your audio please. The content is amazing anyway.
And some people say he isn't natty. You can literally see his progression and insane genetics at a young age.
He’s the 1% for sure
@@LargeKoffi i'd go as far to say that he is far more rare than 1%
@@bacaalano doubt. He’s a 1 in a million, maybe not quite THAT rare but his sheer muscle mass is inhuman
@@tender3545 i full agree
Lay off the drugs bro
He was already juiced AF when he was 20... Anyone who says otherwise knows nothing about training, strength sports and high level performance.
at the start he was good genetics wise but this massive jumps in weight on the lifts made him really sus that hes not funny is when you watch his physique over the years at the start he had way more muscle and lower body fat%. Idk but this guy is cool and such but i believe hes way hard on the juice.
His progression is sus NGL. In the space of 4 months (had already been training for 5 years from football), he went from squatting a max of 560 to 633. Nah.
GO HOME NOW!!!!!!!121
GO HONMEEEEE
Biggest fake natty in powerlifting
Do you have proof of him taking steroids and bypassing constant drug tests? If not then stop talking.
