I wouldn't be surprised! Especially if you pushed a bit past the safety limits, I've read that the blackbirds had plenty of room left in the throttle at "top" speed, though I could be mistaken.
Awesome vid, I'm working on a J-20 replica and was looking for some ideas for my missiles, because fuel tanks in ksp 2 are way to big to build a smaller missile with...
That always annoys me, there should really be a size under the xs tanks, only real option for normal sized missiles though are sepatrons and the structural I beams, which aren't the most visually pleasing but are much smaller
Hey smooney, i supose you have taken an wel deserved vacation, but when will you be expecting to upload again? I love your work and i am nit trying to put pressure one you. keep up the godlike work!!
Near perfect timing for the new vid today! You may be surprised to know that most of my vacation just ended up being filming Aircraft Only Ep 13 for next week (22 hours of footage all together)... so much for a break LOL
The YF-12 was as much a fighter as the F-117 or the F-111 were. I mean, it was actually another strike/light bomber that was given an F designation to attract the interest of those "top gun" types to the program.
@@theairacobra ik, but, if you check the modular missile tutorial from the Spanish bda dev, and you look for my comment yo will ser that bda for ksp2 is under development
Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightstick, simple but really nice and works even better with ksp1. Only complaint is that the RGB on has like 6 pre-programed colors, not customizable.
Hear me out... Since RCE has a total inability to make the J7W1, any chance you could somehow get the jet powered version (J7W2) into your SSTO series lol
I'll try to figure out how to incorporate it in, could stick a rapier engine in there and call it an SSTO lol but I'd really like to figure out a way to just make the base plane too, which should be really straight forward. Either way really good idea!
Wait, since when did KSP2 have flight stick compatibility? I gave up on it because flying with keyboard was absolute garbage, and I couldn't figure out how to get my flight stick to work with it.
It’s very iffy on whether or not it will work with your particular Flightstick. I was able to map the pitch and roll to mine (velocityone flightstick) inside the main menu control settings, but not yaw. I got around this by using the program “Antimicrox” to map the yaw on my stick to A+D on the keyboard (which makes the yaw movement jumpy but better than nothing). There’s also a mod called “input binder” which I believe is on CKAN, that is supposed to allow full flightstick/hotas support for anything. It works well and even lets you use the throttle if you have one. I just had some compatibility issues with it though so I used what little stock flightstick support there is. Hope this helps! :)
If it's not on youtubes end of things (they compress the heck out of everything) then it's probably because I film these on a laptop so the recording quality isn't as good as it could be with better gear (lots of artifacts and stuff) sorry about that, as the channel grows I'll gradually upgrade my rig to make these videos MUCH better quality! :D
I love the flight stick idea because it shows the tiny portion of how pilots manage planes
Proves how hard keyboard flying is too. No fine movements when using WASD!
@@thedawg16 Exactly! Especially in ksp2 WASD is extremely touchy, a landing like this one would be very difficult.
@smooneychad how do you set it up? I have one and it wont work
Those old planes are for sure faster than the government admits🤔
I wouldn't be surprised! Especially if you pushed a bit past the safety limits, I've read that the blackbirds had plenty of room left in the throttle at "top" speed, though I could be mistaken.

Great vid, when will we get the next planes only challenge video?
Hopefully this Saturday, had some delays working on it because of everything from family emergencies to the weather! lol

boeing?
The pilot-guided missile reminds me more of a Maverick missile.
Almost works better on ground targets too!

Are you going to make a bomber to?
He made the B-1B in one of his other videos
I could definitely try doing guided bombs with the B-1B from a few videos back, or maybe make something like a B2 soon...
Have you heard about those full modular controllers it looks like an actual board from a rock I recommend you get one
I'd love one of those at some point in the future they're awesome!
Could you possibly upload that craft? It seems to have one of the most consistent missiles I have seen in Vanilla yet.
Can't believe I didn't think to do that already, I'll put it up on my discord as soon as I get a chance!
weeeee
Run the game in 3x physical timewarp in order to get the game to run in real-time at your FPS
I wish that worked but the game sometimes runs slower in time warp than real time lol, that's how you know I'm on a potato!
"Oh look, a civilian airliner!"
I've definitely got to cut this up into a short referencing that lol
Can't wait for BDarmory for ksp2, then, you can be sure that you'll see me in multiplayer
If it happens i doubt it'd be called BDarmory, the dev of bda moved to work on his own game (VTOL VR, really good game)

I'm sure there'll be some kind of weapons mod by the time multiplayer releases but even if not, the stock warfare will be intense
