KSP 2: I Made a Duna Rover That LAUNCHES A ROCKET!? (Aircraft Only: Ep 12)

- Recently NASA mentioned It's going back to the drawing board with it's plan to get samples back from Mars, so why not one up them and do it myself in Kerbal Space Program 2! (definitely a perfect analogue to real life) So I pulled an old design that I previously deemed "not aircrafty enough" out of the wood work and decided to do a full rover sample return to Duna in KSP2.

I'm gonna try to finally beat the game in the next few episodes (though there will ALWAYS be new episodes when new missions/parts get added as ksp2 develops) The KSP 1 version will be coming right after that though!
dang this is an incredible idea in ksp 2
such a fun idea!! for the "story" missions to Minmus and Duna both times I made an orbiter for the initial mission and then haphazardly "landed" them in the ROI for the story mission lmao.

now i want a mode where you have an budget but you cant get more by missions like in ksp1 just this amount and then you have to plan acordingly
I might try doing something like this in the KSP 1 sequel to this series, by limiting the budget we have. I really like the idea of this being an actual mode though that'd be awesome.

How do you stay in contact with kerbin? Do you use satellites or do you have to get a satellite to duna?
The relay I put around Ike kept me in contact while at Duna and Kerbin's ground stations were enough to connect with no antenna once we arrived there with the samples. The interplanetary phase had no contact for the most part though so I had to make sure I got the encounter lined up while still close to duna. I wish I would have mentioned that In the vid actually!

if you positioned the solar panels better you might have been able to push the speed higher
