Wait, how have I never found this channel? You've got a gem my man, your coverage voice is awesome, production quality high. I will very likely watch all of your videos.
Commentary is better than some professional sports announcers I can think of. Rarely do I click the bell for a channel; I couldn't click it fast enough for this one. Great work!!!
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! This is extremely encouraging and a great motivator. It is a dream of mine to do professional broadcasting, and it is one I am actively trying to pursue.
Dude every video you posted has gotten way better. That Luke play with the 4 point heal played was awesome! You know that’s got to feel good when your cards line up like that. Flawless
Great stuff, quality super high. That was brutal, esp. game 2. Mona Boba just didn’t get enough gas and is maybe a bad match up for Luke Green and shields compared to Green Boba with Bossk, Vader and OB.
Thanks! It was definitely a tough match for Boba. Irving was not running any copies of Cunning or Cantina Bouncer, which could have certainly helped. However, when talking to Philip about the match, he said he felt quite comfortable against Boba Yellow in testing. So I do believe it is not a great matchup for Boba Yellow.
Hello and welcome to the game! So at this point in the game, Philip had deployed his leader (Luke Skywalker). When a leader is deployed, it is considered a unit. This allows the Asteroid Sanctuary to exhaust the leader, which is now a unit. You will see a lot of cards specify 'non-leader unit' in the text, which means they are not able to target leader units with their effects. Hopefully this helps!
Yes. You can control two of the same character in this case, the Luke leader unit and the Luke unit. They are both unique units with the unique icon, but if they do not share all of the same attributes, you can control each at the same time. The main way to distinguish this is the subtitle of the card, which is right under the name. They have different subtitles and you can therefore control both. Hope this helps a bit!
This was the most recent version from Philip. This particular list had changes made to it after the 5k. I'm not sure what kind of tweaks have been made following this tournament.
I don't want to spoil too much! I will be releasing the rest of the video coverage from the tournament. Multiple videos will be releasing this week from the 4k. However, I did post the Top 16 deck lists in a couple different places (Facebook and Discord SWU communities). Thanks for being a part of the channel!
@@NextGenGamingSC I can be a part of ur discord. But mainly I want to know the results of the tournament if this Luke deck is solid after few changes. And ofc looking forward for it next videos
@@BartekTCG I just posted the Top 16 deck lists in the event section of the main Star Wars: Unlimited community Discord. Here is the link to that Discord community, discord.gg/vCFWn44n
Game 2, they forgot 2 dmg on the space unit. Also when he should have used the on attack ability on the outer rim fighter to exhaust the change of heart borrowed fett’s firespray…
Thanks for pointing this out. I do know that someone else commented about the missed trigger on the Outer Rim Headhunter. Thankfully, I do not believe this affected the outcome of the match. Out of curiosity, which point in the match are you referring to the missed damage?
Yea I started the day out very strong. Got paired against mono sabine (Which is a nightmare matchup if they see their aggressions) he also got top 4. And lost a really tight matchup to the Boba player that got 2nd. Then me and a blue/vader had a double loss in time. It was a great day overall! Would have loved to be in top 16, but it just wasn't in the cards for me that day.
I really appreciate that! I am super glad people are enjoying the coverage/gameplay. It has been a lot of fun getting the footage and making the videos.
Great catch! I think you are right about it not really mattering with the position of the board state. It would have given Irving one more turn if nothing else.
Bro that game 2 luke double equiped just put in the work. Boba must have bricked with no ground units to respond to that massive 8 power just taking him out
Absolutely. There was nothing Irving could have put in the ground to match that Luke. Irving's best bet would have been trying to get Luke locked down with No Good to Me Dead.
Philip had played a Wing Leader earlier in the game giving R2-D2 two experience tokens. So his stats became 3/6 instead of 1/4, allowing him to stay on the board and do a ton of work in that first game.
With the scoreboard I track total amount of damage on that player's base. So the number that is shown on the scoreboard is how much damage is on their base, not how much life they have left. I know some people count differently, but the proper way according to the rules is to track the total amount of damage (counting up not down). Hopefully that clarifies things a bit. I generally double or triple check the totals before releasing the video, but I certainly could have made a mistake. Thanks for being a part of the channel!
Watching Irving continuously ready his resources and units before drawing and laying down a resource bothered me. Did no one say anything to him? That's out of order of operations.
Unfortunately, I am still seeing a lot of players still do this, as it appears to be a bad habit coming from other games. There were no judges stationed in the feature area. However, I was there at the feature table for each round, and it was my responsibility to get a judge if requested by the players. In some situations throughout the day, I would mention something to the players if it was absolutely necessary, but I wanted to be extremely respectful to the players, as I was not a judge.
This commentary/video is top notch. We need to get this man paid so he can keep doing this. Thank you very much

Absolutely! The turn where Philip played two Devotion and the Wing Leader for two really seemed to put the game out of reach for Irving.
Best tournament video for SWU I have seen!

Hi there, new player here. On 11:05 asteroid sanctuary is used on the leader, shouldn't it only used on units?

Ongrats on hitting 200 + subs. What’s your next goal!
I’m ready to see the next match
Thanks, man! The next goal is 500 subs.
Were there 2 lukes on the board at the same time in game 1?
Yes. You can control two of the same character in this case, the Luke leader unit and the Luke unit. Does anyone have the decklist for the updated Green Luke deck?

Great commentary. Poor Phillip went from Top 4 to not even in the Top 16. I wonder if the changes he made to the deck were too much.
Thanks! It was a surprise for sure. He got off to a great start, but if I am not mistaken, he ran into some tough matchups in the later rounds.

I really appreciate that! I am super glad people are enjoying the coverage/gameplay. It has been a lot of fun getting the footage and making the videos.
Most likely didn't matter at this point because Philip was way ahead, but Irving forgot to exhaust a non-leader unit with ORH on that last round.
Great catch! I think you are right about it not really mattering with the position of the board state. It would have given Irving one more turn if nothing else.
Really cool.the Luke player know his deck very well.
Absolutely! Philip has proven to be a great Luke pilot.
exzellent stuff

In the first game R2-D2 had 5 damage counters for a long time…. How did he not die?

@@NextGenGamingSC sorry. I didn’t see those exp tokens. Good call
@@keeblerpowell No worries. It was easy to miss.
YOUR MY BOY R2!
R2 is great!
Irving Diaz is jacked! Those forearms 0.o
I must admit that I had the same thought. My man is pretty buff!
Pink holding his cards upside down stresses me out
In game 1, did they forget Luke can't be readied after being exhausted by No Good To Me Dead?
Philip did not ready his Luke Skywalker leader unit the turn after No Good To Me Dead was played.
Great video, I think you got the life totals reversed for game 2
With the scoreboard I track total amount of damage on that player's base. So the number that is shown on the scoreboard is how much damage is on their base, not how much life they have left. In game 1 turn 2 I would’ve played Waylay on the R2, instead of playing the Seventh Fleet Defender.
I think it would be hard to argue against that play. The R2 was allowed to get way too much value.
Dude why in the WORLD would you play Boba cunning and not run 3x Cunning
This is an extremely valid question. Cunning is the main reason to play Boba Cunning in my opinion!
Boba player got some guns
No doubt about that!
Watching Irving continuously ready his resources and units before drawing and laying down a resource bothered me. Did no one say anything to him? That's out of order of operations.
