- Pearl DLX 7500 Deep Force Series fra 1984 i Natural Birch finish. Fantastisk flotte vintage trommer i bjørk og mahogny.
Modellbetegnelsen er DLX-22D-70 bestående av 10×8 RT, 12x10RT, 13x11RT, 14x12RT, 16x16FT og 22x16BD.
I tillegg var settet levert i denne konfigurasjonen med skarptromme M514-D i størrelsen 14×6,5. Denne kan kjøpes separat om du ønsker å komplettere shellpack med matchende skarptromme.
DLX7500 kombinerer mahogny og bjørk i en sandwich forseglet med semi-gloss klarlakk innvendig og høyglanspolert klarlakk utvendig. I kombinasjon med Pearls Super-Hoops og Remo Pinstripe skinn får trommene solid punch, fylde og volum. Deep Force seriens dypere tammer gir trommene bredere stemmeregister, fra høyt stemt med lang decay til lavt stemt med mye attack og mindre sustain.
Forrige eier har nylig hatt full service på settet med demontering, rengjøring, polert og smøring av alle deler. I vårt eie er settet kontrollert, skruer strammet opp, og har fått nye skinn over det hele! Remo Pinstripe slagskinn og Remo Ambassador Clear underskinn på hengetammer og gulvtam. Basstrommen har fått nytt Remo Emperor Clear slagskinn for en åpen og punchy tone, med et nytt Remo Ambassador Ebony frontskinn.
Settet fremstår i særdeles god stand med lite bruksmerker alder tatt i betraktning. Bruksmerker av betydning er noe på basstrommens overdel, grunnet tammer som har tatt ned i og laget noen hakk i klarlakken. Ingen skader i treverket utover små skraper i klarlakk.
Medfølgende hardware er 4 stk. TH-90S tam holdere med 8 stk. SX-2 Memory Locks samt 2 stk. AX-30 adaptere for å feste tam-armene til f.eks cymbalstativ.
Skarptromme, cymbaler og øvrig hardware kan kjøpes separat.

AND the authentic hardware ( except the pedals and the Sonor snare stand... ) and Pin Stripe heads included, all in fantastic condition! Looks like 84/85 comes alive again! Thanks for posting!

Beautiful drums, I love that natural wood finish. If I stripped the wrap off my DX kit what would it look like. Could I achieve that finish. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
This set has original high-gloss clearcoat exterior, and you will achieve the same finish if you remove the wrap, sand down and apply a high-gloss oil in several coats. It's a lot of work and requires you to sand each layer with wet sanding.

I think you could achieve that finish, but I´d like to tell you that back then the nicer shells were laquered and sold as DLX, the not so nice ones were wrapped and sold as DX ( same with BLX / BX, MLX / MX...) , so it could be possible that you have unsightly seams or maybe find filler or anything like that... Please only take this as advice, otherwise I wish you good luck bro!
Looking inside the DX's, the wood is more of a Mahogany type. I'm sure the DX line were a Birch/Mahogany blend, though I could be wrong. Nevertheless I need to think long and hard about stripping and sanding, I don't want to damage what are essentially great drums.
I did it to a maple pearl kit. Worth a shot. Natural finishes are beautiful.
