To everyone asking what headphones I use: I use the Direct Sound EX29.
This one I just wanted to ask after I watched for almost 27mins I went to the comment section
My left ear 👼🤗🎵😇 My right ear 💀
All the more reason I needed to fix it!
“This delay is so long, it took Jesus less time to rise from the dead” lol I knew your channel would be right up my alley
The lead singer is amazing and your mix just brings out her voice amazing episode. I love how this series episodes are never the same. It’s showing so many different issues and ways to fix them.
Sabrina’s voice was incredible to mix. That woman knows how to use her gift.
Thanks! These are the most challenging things I’ve ever done in audio. I go into these places blind. Different musicians at different skill levels with different instruments and different rooms to mix in. Glad you like the series.
I love how you switch to direct audio when you put the headphones on, makes you really immersed in the experience
How do u switch audio in house and stream audio?
@@ulizesrivera3874 He plugged his external hard drive into the mixer and recorded the sound check. And later, when he was editing his video, he used the recorded audio track when he put on his headphones
Ohhhhhhhh!
Man, you’re a valuable asset to the kingdom. Thank you for being a vessel. Praying for you and this channel
So far so good. Love making these videos.
Reverb on bass? Been playing for 22 years and that’s a new one to me.
Yeah. Shut that down quick lol.
church musicians love reverb. speaking from experience
It would be so hard for me to not clown that guy LOL
unless you are doing some solo shit on bass
For the atmospheresssss
Love all the Mixdown Meltdown episodes! So fun and well executed.
That’s a great sounding worship band. Specially the voices. Great job mixing it.
Wow, after you dialed in the mix and the worship team warmed up, I had an out of body experience!
The drum mix with the Zildjian A’s, kick and snare was perfect.
The musicianship was heavenly.
Trying not to curse is a real struggle and I bet everyone in that church has a that issue. That’s why we need Jesus lol!
Love you work sir.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, this band kicked ass.
2:05 that keyboard tone right off the bat is beautiful. Wish I could recreate those chords in my DAW, goodness
keyboardist was going ham!!!!
Workflow seemed so nice on this one. Makes a huge difference to have musicians on the podium who know their stuff and are cooperative
A band that knows their gear and how to play it properly always makes easier mixes.
Huge fan of this series! The before/after shown at 43:55 is absolutely night and day.
Those subs were rocking that place
Sadly Qsc stopped making that series 🥲 I have one and boy are they loud
@@pukashells6215which model?
Only thing i hate about these videos is how long i have to wait to watch them...im not even a sound engineer and absolutely love watching and learning these...awesome!
This lady lead singer can sing!!!! You bought out the vocals and they sound amazing!
The musicians were really great, they deserve their good mix! Thanks, and I can't wait for the next episode!
Seeing you help churches with their sound is awesome. Love the videos.
as a digital music producer, i have so much respect for live audio engineers, your work never goes unnoticed to the trained eye! o7

I am so happy I have found these videos, they have encouraged me as the guitarist in my churches praise band to help try and improve our sound balance and live stream. We are a small church with a small older congregation made up of mostly people in their mid to late 70's. We operate solely with volunteer help, so the simpler the better. Our current sound-tech is dedicated, but wears hearing aids and struggles to hear feedback. We only have an old analog mixer (definitely not a nice X32), a 10 year old PC, but a really good camera(lol xD), but we make it work and get by. Still with this setup I know we have not maxed out our potential. I love all the little tips and how you explain why you are making the changes in the mix you are, I use these videos as reference before practice. I may not be able to be to fix it as well as you and it may never get truly fixed, but I am definitely going to try my hardest! Thank you, this mix sounds fantastic!
Keep at it!
on easter is wild, i love this guy
🤘
Been to this church and know Pastor Hector and some of the worship team members! They are awesome people and have such a huge heart for the Lord! Well done!
These guys were amazing musicians and even more amazing people.
I'm not religious and also not really into audio engineering but I love these videos!
Glad you love them!
A person like you is what's needed when pilots panic and the plane is crashing .. 🙂
Praying God will bless you for your heart to help his churches. ⛪ 🙏
I’ve been fortunate to have published 3 episodes with 3 more on the way.
dude watching these videos make me want to try to learn proper sound egninnering, messing with sound is interesting and also fun. keep it up man!
It’s a lot of fun. Different rooms present different challenges.
ye, watching the past two episodes gives a sort of good idea of how different places might have wildly different audio problems wich i find really interesting beacause theres alot of things that can be causing the problem or that can cause it-
I'm not a sound guy, but I come for the commentary
Wow, great work! Funnily enough, my church uses both pro presenter and obs. We use obs for streaming, and pro presenter for graphics. Also, we are lucky to have a person (my boss) that went to school for audio engineering, so he knows what he is doing and the mix actually sounds really good.
This is the best series on youtube!!! The channel is skyrocketing!!
What ablessing ears ❤ thank you lord
This proves that church budgets should include the fulltime employment of a proffessional Sound Engineer beside spending tons on equipment....
Job welldone
It sounds like they’re playing shoegaze with the piano from ‘Halcyon and On and On’. Frankly, I’d go to this church.
Great work! Just thought I could mention this since not many people seem to notice this. You can press the CH 1-8 and CH 9-16 to get all 16 channels across the 16 faders at the same time. Works with all the Green fader layer buttons.
I didn’t know that
I'm an aspiring audio engineer and musician. Found your channel today. There something super satisfying about the before and after of the mixes I've seen from you. Subscribed!
Welcome!
Wow! DAY AND NIGHT difference. Absolutely great work and this series definitely is fantastic to watch
Glad you enjoy it!
when you put the headphones on at 15:47 my mind went 🤯 and my eyes and mouth went 😲 that sounded phenomenal.🔥 good job bro. keep up the good work brother.
Does this even qualify as a Mixdown Meltdown?😭🔥 It sounds too good for it to be a meltdown 😭😭
The before definitely was qualified as a meltdown. Didn’t need to do much to make it pop!
@@chrishammillaudio nonetheless you did a great job on it
I just want to say thank you for your expertise and wisdom in solving sound issues and making it great for those who need your help. I just stumbled on your channel and really appreciate your candor and positive energry in every situation. You have turn lemons into lemonade!!

My job is so much easier with a band that knows what they’re doing. This band was a genuine pleasure.

Manuel from Peru 🇵🇪!
Fantastic work you have sparked my interest in sound engineering. I was in radio on air and production for 30 years. Thank you for sharing.
really like this type of videos
My new favorite series on this site. It's all the audio nerd shit I love back to back.
I love this series Chris ... Keep em coming!!! Great Job You've become the Chef Ramsy of sound!!!
Excellent job Chris
Who would have thought it? Audio engineering and worship bands being recommended by TH-cam. What a combo!
Ngl the instruments sounded so clean at the end when the entire band was playing. Those guitars sounded ✨dreamy✨ and and that snare on the drum😍🔥
Love these church mix fix videos. Great work!!
thank you for sharing these gems ! keep up the signaL Flow!
This series is amazing! Keep it up
My God, they sound absolutely gorgeous!
Sounds Amazing
power......so nice to hear...
You're doing a great job bro!!! I need you in my church. Blessings
I love your videos man! Just started doing sound not too long ago at my church, it’s so cool seeing the before and after.
these are so sick, even not knowing much about live audio i find these very interning as a musician
clicked immediately lol happy easter, audio and Jesus has risen!
Outstanding!! The Lord works in Mysterious ways!!
Well done bro. Im amaze the way you fixed the sound system of Mixer. I learn a lot for your all videos. God blessed
These are the best videos!!! I’m a musician but I LOVE the audio side of things! I would love to learn more about the audio side to be able to do this! Keep these coming!!
I love your levels. Very clean
Wow the band sounds great! They aren’t lying when they say it all starts with good sources
Those first 2 seconds of harmony brought chills.
what a sound! it helps a lot with the drum shield and all of them are on their IEMs, it sounds like they are inside the studio also, instead of having loud backlines for the guitar, bass, and keys
Every instrument essentially being direct sans drums has its benefits.
