      Hi, I got the measurements in cups for you, hope this will helps. Because they are not that accurate so if you find the rice rolls skins cracked then add 1 tbsp water or more but on other hand if it's easily to tear then add 1 tbsp tapioca starch . Keep adjusting until you get the right texture.
      (Here's the measurements in cups:)
      Remember to scrape with a knife across the top of the measuring cup to level the flour. Loose flour, don't press the flour down .
      210g rice flour = 2 cups
      120g tapioca starch = 1 cup
      (Because the starch is light)
      1 tsp salt
      1tbsp oil
      900ml water = 4 cups + 1/4 cup
      (Mixed 2 cups cold water with the dry ingredients first, then add the remaining water with hot water)
      Please let me know how they turn out! Enjoy this recipe with your family! 🙂

    Wow looks fabulous! How long do you soak the batter for? 1 hour? I make these too but by steaming with a plate but it's still so much work. Each plate is steamed for 3 mins compare to yours, only 35...40 secs!

    • @susakitchenfood
      @susakitchenfood  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      No need to soak the batter if you follow my way of using cold water then water boiling water for the batter. I finished 20 rice rolls within 30 minutes. I have to roll fast for the next one ready. Trust me I watched lots of people making in different ways and different methods and I tried but either failed or too much work. I found my recipe and the way of making it is very easy and simple. I was thinking of buying the steam tray before I figured out this way . Give it a try you will love making this very often in the future for your family to enjoy. ☺

      First add 400 ml cold water, mix it well then add 500 ml hot boiling water to the mixture. That's what you should do. For shrimps, if you are planning to put 3 shrimp in one rolls then this recipe can make 18-20 rolls. So you do the math. Hope that help! Please check out my veggies rice rolls as well ! Enjoy!! ☺ Thanks

      Please do try to make it , you won't be disappointed. You can also substitute the tapioca starch to cornstarch. If you like more chewy texture you can add more of the starch and less of the rice flour. As long as you keep the dry ingredients the same measurement to the liquid portion. Thanks for watching !

    So nice looking . Can we omit the tapioca flour? Only rice flour?

    • @susakitchenfood
      @susakitchenfood  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you still can omit the tapioca starch to replace with cornstarch but you have to test it out yourself to get the right texture that you want. I think the cornstarch won't give the texture as chewy as the tapioca starch. But by using just the rice flour alone the texture will be too soft and will tear easily. You can always reduce them if you don't want too chewy texture. Everyone have their own preferences but remember the total dry ingredients have to be the same portions doesn't matter what dry ingredients you reduced. Hope that will help! Let me know how yours turn out.

    Hi
    Why you put 400ml Cold water first and 500ml boiled water ???

    • @susakitchenfood
      @susakitchenfood  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did mention it in my video for the reason, but I will reply you for the reason. If you use only cold water to mix all the dry ingredients, you will always have some dry flour on the crepe. Even you brush off with water it still give you some how powdery taste like it's not fully cooked. So to avoid that happen I added more than half with hot water to give the batter kind of like precooked a little bit. It gives the rice rolls a nice texture and taste better. Please don't pour hot water first, it will become a paste form. Hope that helps. Thanks for your support 😊 🙏

    How to get rid of the Floury and powdery Rice flour taste when we use DRY rice flour?

    • @susakitchenfood
      @susakitchenfood  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Did you follow my video? I did mention in the description that add cold water first then add hot boiling water to get rid of the powdering taste. If you have tried my way and still have the same problem then after mixing the batter, let it sit for 2-3 hours or overnight. But I believed by brushing with water on it before take it out will definitely help to get rid of the powdery taste.

    • @susakitchenfood

      I believe so, but you have to add a little bit more batter each time. The noodles are more thicker than my rice rolls. Maybe I should give it a try next time. Thanks for reminding me.☺
