Awesome build! I think if you’re wanting the stock SL look you keep it clean. If you want people to know they get “a little whine with your cheese” 😂 where the vr-4’s say “Twin Turbo” yours could say “Supercharged”
At one point I thought about instead of putting SL back on it I should put SC on it. Then if someone asks what does SC stand for I could say I am glad you asked lol. I put the factory mitsubishi logo back on nose and I am not sure if I like the red on my new green. May pull it and put a black one on it.
I would leave the badges off it looks amazing with that color I’m really starting to fall in love with this platform so underrated great video you have gained a subscriber 🎉
I’d say leave the dsm logos on the car but other than that leave the badges off, I think because of the supercharger it’s more of a surprise factor so it keeps people guessing. With the gauges my friend used to run one on his phone because his trucks wouldn’t work 😅
I tipped my hat to you I have one question I want to know how did you hook up your wideband because I have the same one and I have trouble, so can you please show me how to hook it up?
th-cam.com/video/FbQlxscs_5M/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared That is video on header. I have full header with only front o2 for each bank and wideband. On a stock setup you will have to weld in a new bung. The wideband is separate from rest of car meaning it doesn't tie I to any wiring unless you have a 97 to 99 you can wire to ecu for logging. The gauge itself only needs 3 wires, 12v constant, 12v ignition, and ground
I was actually going to look at the gauges today. I got the diagram to check power and ground for each gauge. If that checks out then capacitors are only thing left
heh having issues with idle on mine as well with the chrome v2. But i think it has a lot to do with the mods on my engine. No iac, aluminum flywheel, big cams, And a holley hi-ram intake on it. Its an all-motor set up t hat traded low end torque for high rpm power. Also has a built bottom end with 12.5:1 pistons and a resurfaced head so maybe 12.7:1 static CR. IT wants to idle around 1400rpm or else it slowly chokes out. And with no iac you gotta keep throttle on it until it warms up to operating temps lol. Sounds like you got similar idle issues lol
Yep very similar, I am idling pretty good now around 1,100 after I got fuel trims tweaked. I have to hold throttle at start up for about 30 seconds. I also have my iac removed. I adjusted my throttle body open to just over 16% and fine tuned with air screw. That really helped. Sounds like you have a pretty beefy motor 😀
@@sigvision4189 well its about as built as you can get. Its just not boosted. Along with the. Built engine its gutted, caged has vr4 suspension, built transmission with a quaife LSD in it and a spec stage 2 kevlar clutch.

@TurboMusicArtist yes I did, it was the resistors. I replaced all of them good or bad and they work great now. I believe it was 5 total, 3 on speedo and 2 on tach
I think it's different. @generalmanager644 that is a super clean car, you have your comments off so asking here. Have you dyno it yet and what size wheels and tires you running
It is a Eaton m90, wasn't saying a supercharger is better than a turbo as turbos produce more horsepower without using horsepower. I was saying from a drive ability stand point the power is more linear and responsive. In the end it is personsl preference, this car is a daily driver not a track or drag car. The turbo vs SC debate will always exist till the dawn of time 😀
@@sigvision4189 no. I disagree. Superchargers go on donkeys that make sufficient power to count for the loss, turbos arrive late to the party but it's a completely different animal once spooled. Well, to each his own right. IL keep the turbo and lag-boost-lag-boost my way. 😂
@@javidamod on a donkey, that is hilarious, made my morning for real. I agree with you fully, I spent half my life owning and riding just about every sport bike made so know all about the high rpm hold on for dear life power. Now that I am older I spend most my time driving in the 2 to 4k rpm range not in the 4k and up range. The SC will give me the low end grunt. If I wanted a high rpm screamer I would of put my turbos on it. After I take to dyno I will post up my power curve. My hope is to peak power around 4 to 5k rpm.
@@sigvision4189 it's a supercharger, so it will be linear regardless, just very little boost to speak off, as you said, you cruising it, so no real need for the upper rpm range and you will probably extract peak power lower down than the original twins would've, many RPMs higher than you will ever rev it to.
Your car looks amazing! I will definitely be keeping up with all your videos pertaining to your 3000gt.

I am kind of liking the mystery idea. I will get these gauges figured out, I like working gauges 😊
@Wolfman I am loving the sound, quiet as a mouse during cruising but comes alive when I hit the throttle
Always loved these cars, looks mint.
Probably not one bolt or screw that hasn't been touched on this thing. I am just thankful it runs again 🙌
That car is sexy as hell man keep up the good work and keep us updated!
Love that green. Keep up the great work!
Thank you, yeah I am loving the green as well. I love a black car with red seats as well so who knows, may start another project one day 😀

Edit: My rpm gauge don't work either!
Thank you, so yours has the single overhead cam? Still doesn't make sense why they offered three v6 motors for these cars.

What color code is that? What color I want to do mine the same color
It is House of Kolor Organic Green, the number is C2C-KBC09
i believe you blew the capicators in the speedo/tach. try replacing those

Put the emblems back on. Also, very cool car.
If I did, what color and which ones?
But yeah, mine isn't working either only the speed though... my rpms work and gas gauge and just got my temp gauge working
I ended up replacing the capacitors on tach and speedo and they work now.
