Seems like an amazing wheel for the price! And I like the 280 mm size as it seems more versatile that way. I definitely think they need to make it able to support screens from simhub or at least have some customization options. Love your content and always look forward to your videos

Awesome review and content! But the again, ive learned to expect nothing less from you! The wheel seems like a bargain and a real good deal. Lets hope they will allow users/drivers to import custom profiles from simhub for example to use on the screen. If that was to happend, this will most definitly become one of the most bought wheels out there!

Sim Hub compatibility would be great! And as you mentioned the handles designed a bit differently to not feel the seam (I guess it is called) would great as well.

this is the most sincere review on the internet about this wheel! I do agree with the screens: I don’t want to have another software for screen, if more options are possible it will solve the issue. Missing part on this wheel are LEDS to indicate DRS for example and, come on Moza: combinations to change screens?! this is soooo wrong!
If that screen can be customized with simhub when using it via USB it will be a no-brainer for me and I will have to get it and also if they produce a GT wheel with screen I'm all over that

I have my Moza R9 and GS wheel ordered. I've been a Fanatec user for 5 years, but have decided to give another brand a try. I have had a few issues with quality on my gear. I've had to send my V2.5 wheelbase away for a repair that was due to incompatibility of pins on the Formula V2 wheel and the wheelbase. I was still partially charged for the repair, even though I felt this issue was not my fault at all. I'm hoping to have a better experience with Moza. I've mostly good things about their customer service. Their use of the NRG style quick release, with pricing similar to Fanatec, is one of the reasons that helped me make my decision.
People sounds much happier with the Moza services on the comment section of my R9 video which is good sign 😃

I wanted that wheel, but it won't connect wireless for different aftermarket wheels. So it's the SC2 Pro, with the Cube Controls F pro rim. 49" ultra wide almost ready... for what you say, start racing of course. Brand new to sim racing abd you helped me make my decision with those exact same humble way, check, check and make the educate decision not the impulse. Lol. Yeah, me? Always impulse very strong. My kids help me with this though. They are smarter then me on this technology stuff. Lmao. Yep it's true, if the adult can't the children can. Lol

I must admit I ordered a custom designed GSI wheel some days ago and iam really looking forward to get it into my hands.

@@chepilevski yeah two month left. I can tell you I'm so excited to get my hands on the wheel. Saved up the money for about 5-7 month now and finally i could buy it. Not sure what to do with my cube controls formula Sport. Might keep it or sell it. Don't know if I will have any use for it after having the Gomez. Or starting a collection like you did 🤣

Making own dashes makes the wheel more personal. Would be nice to see simhub compatibility but if they are creating there own update for the software to make own dashes im also happy.

although i love moza product line up and this wheel is absolutely awesome, i still think they need to bring a proper gt rim on the low cost category. the mclaren v2 from fanatec is the only reason they sell wheel bases and combos right now! moza has the cs wheel and they only need to give you the option to buy it with another rim since the button box is perfect and they pattern is standard 70mm.
Let’s make more noise about that and they will probably do something about that 😃
I have the feeling they really look what’s the community is looking for and try to act quickly!
GT rim is missing and if they bring something more affordable will be win for us and them 😃
I agree the V2 Mclaren is awesome for what it is, I used to have all fanatec equipment, but now I have moved away and have different pedals, shifter and handbrake, I keep my fanatic BMW wheel and the V2, but I sold the rest and have a few cube wheels and a couple of other makes, fanatec have to be careful here and don't drop the ball as they will get punished
@@chepilevski completely agree. I saw a lot of post on the Moza forum asking for a Formula style wheel with the dash and here we are.
So excited for the next few years because these Chinese companies making such good looking wheels at half the price it has too effect the market but will take a couple of years. Prices have to come down due to this

@@chepilevski that is true. they fixed crp pedals and they introduced both the gs and the wheel you just reviewed based on the community demand. this is what every newcomer has to do in any industry tbh and they seem to do it very well. they still lack the distribution network for sure, but they have already created a very good ecosystem.
Moza is turning a corner and I think this division of moza is positioning itself to become to be number one. They are simply doing so by listening to the community. Look at it everything people complain about fanatec, they try to omit that from theirs. As a customer I love to know I will be heard and I hope it stays that way. Moza let's make this open source or cut a deal with simhub for more personalization.
I contacted them about a moza usb hub and cable. And they mentioned that they will release that product in October. Which is soon. I believe simagic’s fx pro wheel will do the same. Which means we can also put that wheel to the test. The quick release is identical and the pin connection points looks identical too.

i got the GS wheel from them and i love it but will wait to see if we can do our dash before geting the FSR

I like it, I just don't know if it's for me. I use formula wheels, smaller ones usually and being mostly VR screens are a waste. Yet at £575 I'm still tempted. Especially being leather. It's a really good price for what you get.
Yeh man , in VR you can enjoy the actual wheel of the car itself 😃
It's even cheaper if you get it from Abruzzi (which is where you should get it from in the UK)
I would consider this if a) could be connected via usb to use an SC2 or non-moza base b) display gets simhub support. Looks cool!

It is compatible with other wheelbases, they just haven't released the adapter yet

Great content! I want to upgrade from G923 but can't choose between Fanatec CSL DD, Moza R9, SimMagic Alpha-Mini, etc... I'm on a low budget and already got used TLCMs. IDK wich DD to start on. Everyone comments diferent feelings on the FFB and on each sim software reviews are diferent. I run RF2, AC, ACC, AMS2, RRRE, PC2, LFS, F1games... "retro games" too... etc.
Well , coming from the G923 any of those will boost your happiness for sure!
I would suggest to check out which ecosystem you would prefer the most from esthetic point of view and go for it !
I was in a same situation as you. I went from a logitech to a simucube... i would say after extensive research if you on a budget then go with this Moza stuff... if not then simucube is the way mate. Way to many complaints about fanatec.

Thanks! I was into Moza but heard reviews complaining the FFB didn't feel accurate as CSL DD on ACC. Some said FFB needed development and lacked detail.
I got the G923 vs T300 based on opinions about "snappier" "quicker" FFB from gears, having detail I'll scarifice smoothness.
@@caaarlos that is not true at all ! Moza R9 is absolutely perfect! I personally prefer the FFB more from Moza and Simagic then Fanatec!
Of course the best to date remains Simucube but at the end of the day they are all great with small differences!

My true drive settings are very simple as I use the suggestion from true drive for iRacing and set down the reconstruction to 3 and the Damping and friction to 5%
I use those same settings for ACC as well but I turned OFF the road effects in game FFB settings!

That’s the carbon case behind and the handles which make that noice ! It is not that much flex but even little makes that noise !

You have to better ask the sim lab about that ! The mounting points on the R9 are only on the bottom side
its compatible, moza, simagic, immsource all run base on the fanatec 4 bolt base mounting pattern!

Any advice or feedback would help. Obsessed with the LCD and look of the fsr so thinking of selling my CSL DD and Formula v2.5 wheel for the R9 and FSR wheel. Am I crazy to do so?

It won’t be massive upgrade but still in my opinion the R9 is just bit better over the CSL DD
At the end of the day if you go for that move don’t expect massive upgrades just do it if you really want the look of the Moza ecosystem 🤛
Moza absolutely must add simhub support for their dashes. Those are beautiful screens but the lack of simhub support is what stopped me from buying the dash for my r12 and why I won't buy an FSR.
Looks great but in VR I have no need for a screen. I want them to do another budget wheel in line with the CS but with formula layout, dual clutch, no screen and all the rotary encoders and buttons you could need. I only race in VR.

I saved 1000's. G27 broke replaced it with another one. then found it worked fine so now have 2, and still saved thousands ha ha. that said I'll probably get one of these.
Man , I wish you will dive in the DD world soon ! No matter which one , going from G27 which I drove for year to DD is massive happiness boost 😁

The hub must be close to release and I hope to test that wheel soon on my Simucube
Do you like this better than the GS? I do like the look better but I thought the size of the GS is better for GT racing and is a bit more of a universal size?
Honestly I’m always confused what I prefer most from size point of view ! Whenever I switch to smaller size I feel something unique In feel from controlling the car because is more rapid and I can steer more easily in the corners but then wen I switch back to 320mm I feel the ffb so much smoother! That must be something very personal and different from driver to driver!
Honestly from driving point of view between this and the GS I don’t feel massive difference at all ! From any other point of view this is much much better wheel in comparison to the GS 😃

so I have no idea how I will like 300mm. 280mm feels good to me but it’s all I’ve ever known! I will be getting the R9 I just need to decide on rim now. The wife doesn’t think the extra $150 is worth it 🤣 it feels weird paying more for the rim than base… maybe it’s just me! As always, thanks for the review!
@@rover1374 in my opinion the 150$ extra are really well worth as this is not just better quality but also much more ergonomic trough the size for my size fingers anyway 😁(not big at all)

I have the Moza R9 and FSR wheel on order. I will give my opinion on here when it arrives.
For me this wheel is perfect except for one thing, the absence of the most functional button that a simracing wheel can have: 1 Funky Switch. A small but transcendental detail. I find it hard to believe that Moza would make wheels of such quality and do them without this button. It's absurd.
Im thinkin about buying this wheel...

Maybe they have something in mind for GT wheel as that is formula and probably that’s why they choose 280

What dashboard do you use on your dash screen over on the right side of your rig.

Because this is a formula wheel, are there any problems with leaning back a regular gt type seat that much? Looks like most seat brackets allow you to tilt the seat back a lot, but the backs of seats like the mirco rs1 look straight unlike a formula seat, how is that on your back?🤔
Having the Mirco on the same holes was much more lean to a formula like position in comparison to the Sabelt I have right now and the Mirco was much more comfortable for sure !
I regret changing that RS1 🙈

I found something out about my Motamec buckets seat last week when I was cleaning the rig and on the bottom even though it was ordered and covered in Mtoamec name on the bottom it said Mirco 🤣 so I wonder how many companies are re branding mirco seats. You ever seen that before?

Bay the way , the Mirco RS 2 is the biggest size and you must check if the demonstrations fits for you but I believe they will ! My current seat is probably the biggest size which have 3 choices of padding for for different sizes people but honestly I had to put few extra pads to make it comfortable particularly in hard braking my spinal cord hurt 🙈
Does this rim come with a USB cable so I can use it on another base like the Simucube?

Has anyone has any issues with the rotary knobs activating and changing settings in the car without me actually turning them? For example when running gt3 on iRacing, I have the traction control and ABS mapped to the rotary knobs and the wheel keeps changing my TC and ABS settings when racing.. the knobs are definitely not rotating but they still seem to be getting activated when driving. Anyone had this issue?

No simhub support for the screen is a no-buy for me. Default dash design looks toyish (style, colors and fonts). Also I prefere single LEDs for the Rev Bar. Otherwise it would have been a good choice for my upgrade from a Fanatec system

I hate the wheel lol I wish I didn't. What makes me mad is that fair plate isn't real cf which is why you can't see the separation between each layer and the product overall to me seems cheaper then it should.
I don't like the plastic build internally from how the handles are made with 2 sides either.
Their dashes are a deal breaker for me. It's the biggest thing holding them back. They should have allowed for Sim Hub compatibility. It would have been cheaper and much more powerful using a product that's already well established within the community. At least offer that along side Moza's own dash if they want to offer theirs for compatibility and ease for noobs.
Their lack of Simhub support is the only thing holding me back buying anything they offer with a Dash in it. Otherwise I'd be all over it.

@okay?I I thought his wheel were good? I also saw the wheel cracking and knew what it was as I nearly ordered one. I think his R8/Hurracan wheel looks amazing and the review videos I've seen it looks incredible. Do you have experience with his wheels.
By the way that rear of that 488 wheel is carbon fibre composite so it was always going to creak
