But soon after, as Nicole went on and started lamenting the "dumb crappy bars" of Arkansas, Norm struck again. Norm: "Did you get in any trouble because you're black?" Nicole: "No! You're so rude." Norm: "I thought hillbillies didn't care for black people." Nicole: "They love me." Paris: "They love her." Norm: "Because you're not black!" Nicole: "Yes, I am black
If you notice also, on that specific pic, how gray he looks and look at his hand on the right, clearly intravenous marks... He was doing chemo at that point, am sure ;((. Considering he was there and sharp enough to bug the shit out of the girls that took his slot spot lol Just AMAZING!
Interesting comments about death...what a legend. Didn't even tell his closest friends he was terminal...the ultimate Andy Kaufman move. Told Adam Eget he was going to his relatives house and would be gone a few weeks. He was actually going to the hospital...and died. I miss very few people...I miss Norm Macdonald.

His style is like no other. Seamless transitions from adlib to stream of consciousness to written material and combinations of all three. Some comics can work a crowd and improvise well , some are great writers . Rarely if ever has anyone so craftily weaved between both. He had an arsenal of material and he could switch weapons at anytime.
It takes supreme confidence gained over years of experience. He always said he had sickening nervous doubts before a performance and the consummate professional he became never made it visible.
My grandfather used to say that if he ever got Alzheimer's, he would be grateful because he could watch all the John Wayne movies and Star Trek episodes like they were brand new. Norm sounds a little slurred here. If he indeed had come from chemo treatment earlier, he might've taken a few Xanax before the show. I would have--- Hell, I do anyway. My wife called me on the phone when she heard that Norm had died. She was so gentle about it "Honey, listen-- Norm Macdonald died." I broke down. I was inconsolable. She was so sweet about it. Not like she usually is with news like that: "Hey you're dad dropped dead in the hardware store...I guess we gotta go pick him out a pine box, uh?"
