I just wanna clarify I’m not invalidated anybody’s experience. I truly believe people are experiencing hair loss and other negative reactions. But there are so many factors that go into hair loss (bad hair care, stress, genetics, hormonal changes, etc) EVERY business has claims that their products are making peoples hair fall out, including mine. But I believe the reason why Mielle is getting so much backlash for it is because of the fact that people do not trust them because they sold their business. I encourage everyone to research on their own and not just rely on TikTok especially because for every person that has said they had a negative reaction another person has said they haven’t had any issues.
I totally trust Brittany and her reviews. When I ran across her review on the Tymu hair straightening brush I didn’t hesitate for one second and bought and let me tell you. It did not disappoint!!!! Thank you for your channel!!!
The issue with that statement is we’re women. Hormonal changes have been happening since puberty, and I’m sure even then, girls and women would know if a specific product is making their hair fall OUT. If I stop using Mielle (with all my hormonal changes) and my hair doesn’t damage further, it’s not the hormonal changes, it’s the product. Hair matting upon using the product isn’t hormonal changes. Dry hair even though there’s enough product isn’t hormonal, hair breakage and hair thinning because the hair is hard to detangled after using Mielle isn’t hormonal changes. It’s the product.
I would agree if everyone was saying that their hair started falling out over a period of time, but the time frames of these claims are all over the place. I’ve seen some people say a year. I’ve seen some people say two weeks. that’s why I recommend just doing what works for you🥰
I have been using the oil for a couple years and it works fine for me. But I apply it to my scalp only once a week and that could be why. I have used products that tingle my scalp way more than this oil.
Definitely brave because I am one of those it took my hair and my daughters hair out. And I know for a fact because I used it before she sold and I use it after she sold I don’t know why people are acting as if they don’t get our products and change them up.
@@poupee6929because the ingredients are on the back of the bottle. If they lied about the products on the back on the bottle they would get sued for everything they had because that’s very illegal Mind you they sold the company but it’s still black owned. In reality you and your daughter are allergic to the essential oils that are in the products which is very common because they are potent.
I've been using the pomegranate and honey collection with no problems. I always tell people it works for me. I will continue to use as long as it works for me (and they have a sale) 😊
I think some people are suffering from protein overload considering this is strengthening line. Protein heavy products should be used sparingly throughout the year, especially for type 4 hair.
I was gonna say that too! It’s not good to use protein heavy products on regular basis due to protein overload, you need to balance it out and also make sure you’re using products that are moisturizing as well. While protein is a good thing too much can also be bad for your hair and cause damage or breakage, so that could be why some people are experiencing hair loss.
I recent bought some Miele products and used them before even knowing about the allegations. I absolutely love them!! That Pomegranate and honey leave in and mousse are my favorite wash n go combo. I’ve used the rosemary and mint hair mask and my hair so soft and moisturized. I also want to add that people should be careful when buying things on Amazon now. There has been so many instances where people order what they think are authentic products on Amazon only for them to end up being fakes or different from the product off the shelf. I specifically remember the OGC peppermint shampoo I ordered on Amazon was different. On the label it said it was made in Canada but in the reviews others were getting bottles where the label said made in the U.S. ever since the pandemic, there are some items I never buy on Amazon anymore because of the influx of scam and bad goods being sold on there.
Claims like hair falling out is why I choose to curate hair products at home for myself and not sell it. I agree that people are jumping on the bandwagon because the topic is hot and saying your hair is falling out will guarantee many clicks here on TH-cam and TikTok. It's unfortunate that every time a black owned business decides to team up with a bigger corporation claims about hair loss and the products not working immediately flood in. Shea Moisture and Carol's Daughter also experienced this issue.
Mielle’s Pomegranate &Honey Product is for us 4c girlies. The mint line is not for us. I use the Pomegranate products and have not experienced issues, however due to the controversy I am on the lookout for issues.
That line has a lot of film forming humectants so it's very moisturizing for our hair is you don't trust mielle look up other lines that also used film forming humectants like kinky curly knot today's leave in
I honestly feel like this review will not prove a point because its only being complete /processed once, I believe its possible there was a lot of bad batch going around or other factors etc , This review would benefit if it was a chop up video of a time period of you using these products more like 2 month period but non the less , Im excited to see that you are providing us ladies with your point of view and I enjoy your content ❤ thanks .
I've used Mielle consistently (weekly) for 3 years. I use the Pomegranate & Honey line, Hawaiian & Ginger line, Sea Moss line, Babassu & Mint line, Almond Oil. Rosemary oil, etc.... I have not lost a bit of hair, no negative experience whatsoever. My hair is waist length and very healthy. I don't understand why people would continue using any product that caused you damage and hair loss after every use. My mother uses her brand consistently as well. She's had absolutely no issues either. We're 26 years apart with different hair types. I don't know what's going on with these other women's hair. Hopefully their issues get better though.
Exactly what I’ve been waiting for!!! ❤❤❤❤ and I’m going to just say that I really appreciate the fact that you talk throughout your videos a lot! Idk what it is but I do not like watching content where the creator doesn’t talk or just use captions to explain things because it takes my focus away from actually seeing what’s going on! For me, it just makes it more personal.
So let me put this out because I have a little bit of science knowledge as a Holisic Nurse Practitioner. Rosemary is a mint and it can be very strong for certain people's scalp just like peppermint. The ISSUE..what works for some does not for others. Also, I wouldn't recommend using any mint product on your scalp in the form of a drop. IT'S STRONG! I've made my own hair/skin stuff using essential oils and I know better. I grew my husband's hair with peppermint, rosemary, & sandalwood but he did not use it daily.✌🏾
I used this exact line for a year and saw my hair grow more than ever before. The hair oil in particular caused a major change in my hair growth for the better. I never used it super often, mostly on my wash days which was every two weeks. I never used this daily as recommended. I wouldn’t do that with any oil because that can cause buildup. Also I had an old oil from mielle and bought a new one as well. Both were exactly the same! I’ve been using the oil now for almost two years.
As someone who has watched Brittany's channel for some time, it's proven that her reviews are to the point, factual, and thoroughly researched. I remember when the company was sold years ago Brittany wasn't happy about it and still did an honest review today. It is also important to note that she is a business owner and stated that she's gone through something similar with people purchasing her products. She did say multiple times in the video that not everything is for everybody. Some people have sensitivities and tolerances towards certain ingredients, people have different preactices, protein sensitivites, etc. Your experience is always valid, but just keep in mind that not everything works for everybody!! Thank you for your honesty Brittany 😊
Now ima just say this! When I used this line over time I knew something was wrong so I stopped using it. People you need to listen to your hair and body and discontinue using a product when you notice a change. This line is a strengthening and growth line. IMO it should not be used every single wash day. Rosemary can be very strong, and our hair needs a balance between moisture and strengthening products
I feel like God used you because i just started using this product a few weeks before this happened because i was trying minoxidil and was having unwanted hair growth so wanted something natural. And so I was worried. 😅😅😅😅😅 I really trust you as a servant of God and how hes using your platform. So thank you for being used to address this because i was so worried in my soul.
I believe rosemary dries out the hair, if used excessively. I use a rosemary clove tea on my hair for growth and for the first week, I saw results, but it dried out my scalp immediately lol Second week, dialed it back from 4 times a week to 2 and I'm still seeing new baby hairs come in and a less dry scalp. Anything with rosemary is best used minimally and accompanied with something else like an oil or other moisturizer.
I wish ppl would stop being so quick to believe everyone they come across on the internet. Also bring awareness that with every viral story will come a bunch of ppl bandwagoning and claiming they had the exact same reaction/experience just because they know sensationalized stories are what earn you a viral moment.
Alot of hair products have protien in them. The Mielle rosemary scalp hair oil, the second ingredient, is soybean. Soybean is high in protein and not the best oil to use in anything, in my opinion. Protien overlaod can cause hair loss/break and the hair too become damaged. keeping an eye on the ingredients in each product we layer our hair in and how often we apply them is key. I hope this helps because I use this oil. The ingredients didn't change.
Brittney, love your review on the Mielle Organic products! ❤️ You were very detailed. It was very HONEST, and I applaud you, for standing in your truth! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I completely agree that everything is not for everyone. I used the rosemary mint line, and my hair became very dry. However, just like coconut products, my hair just doesn't love these ingredients. So, I just don't use lines that have those ingredients. I will normally try something twice before I call it. Again, every product is not for everyone.❤
Ive read that most of the complaints are surrounding the Rose (?) line. That one in particular focuses on strengthening hair and had higher levels of protein. Personally, I know my strands are very sensitive to added proteins and have had breakage in the past. No fault on the brand's part. As a consumer, I've had to learn what works on my hair and what I need to avoid.
When it became a trend in 2022 that’s when I stopped using the oil. I liked it. I used up what I had & never repurchased it. It’s just something about trends that I can’t get with especially when it comes to my hair & skincare. I typically wait until the hype dies down & people are on to the new thing then I start using it lol.
I love how you explain the difference in how you feel about a product. I’m a new subscriber and customer. I was sad when your products were out of stock for awhile so hopefully you have solved the issues with production. Can’t wait until your shampoo and conditioner comes out . My prayer is that it’s not over priced like alot of products on the market. Sorry I’m just not a fan of the price gauging that we have to suffer through just to find products that work. Thanks for the review even though I don’t really use her products I’m glad you did it to remove some of the fear the enemy was trying to do to sabotage this lady success.
Been using the oil before and after they received investment from P&G and I don’t receive hair loss. I use a few drops to soothe my scalp between washes. Unfortunately, we’ve seen this “controversy” with other brands (olaplex, devacurl, etc). I think she’ll need to have a trusted 3rd party to show the findings of an investigation. Hopefully she can overcome this and move forward.
I agree with this. I think an investigation would help to pacify a lot of people. I also saw some people saying that a lot of beauty supply stores and online retailers were selling false Mielle products.
@@britttanyrose oh no! Counterfeit hair products?! That’s new when Mielle isn’t super expensive. P&G isn’t going to want to lose a return on investment. They should look into it. I remember with devacurl people were using the no-poo shampoo and experiencing hair loss because they never clarified their hair. Sometimes you have to switch it up.
@@livelovely4681 olaplex’s formula change in 1 product was due to an EU ban on an ingredient linked to infertility. It wasn’t related to the hair loss claims. Devacurl did reformulate and settled the class action lawsuit but I don’t recall seeing any testing that proved the products caused hair loss. It could’ve been user error or sensitivities like Brittany is suggesting.
I have the custard and it defines my hair really well. I also love the oil I don't use any other products, from their rosemary line because it left my hair extremely dry and there was no moisture.
I love your videos and your honest opinions! Also that you can give us your views as a hair care professional/provider. I agree with all you said about there being different factors as to why hair loss could occur with certain products. It can’t be just one thing ! There’s many things that come into play when discussing hair/hair loss. I have been using Mielle for years and absolutely love quite a bit of their products. Especially in the pomegranate and honey line. I also use the rosemary mint and haven’t had any issues myself. I won’t say that others are lying or wrong about what could have happened to their hair. However, if you see a product isn’t working for you, it’s best to discontinue use as soon as you catch it. Keep up the good work and awesome reviews! I was waiting on you to chime in on this! Thank you so much!!!!! 🥰🩷
It’s great that these products worked on your hair for one wash, however to do a study it would require at least 5 times of using it. We also can’t say the formula hasn’t changed, we know the ingredients haven’t but a formula is in percentage which would be proprietary. We also don’t know if the ingredients suppliers changed. There is a lot of different factors that need to be ruled out and investigated to confirm if what is being sold is adulterated. I personally only used the leave in for years. I also brought from Target and didn’t have issues but then brought it again a month ago and tossed it because I don’t want to take any chances.
I did my first wash and go using tips from one of your videos this past weekend, and it was sooo cute…. The first day. The next day, I woke up looking like “Who shot Johnny and forgot to kill him”. 😂I could really use some tips for how to maintain the curls/coils daily and nightly to really optimize the look for a few days. Btw, you’re gorgeous, your hair is gorgeous, and as long as you continue to be the honest God fearing woman you are, you will always have a fan in me 💁🏽♀️
She has a video on it I'm pretty sure (how I do a wash n go) and in the later part if I remember correctly she explains how she maintains her hair over night
@@akeyiawatts1575 oh wait I believe it's called "I found the perfect wash n go combo", where she puts her hair in a pineapple and uses a scarf or bonnet and sleeps with it(which also keeps it stretched).
I’ve been using the rosemary mint entire line for about 6 months now. The oil, mask, shampoo conditioner and styling cream. I can say the mask dried my hair out. The shampoo and conditioner are decent. The oil was pretty good. But I will say that the pomegranate line is much more hydrating and my hair thrived, I’m thinking about going back to it.
I love your reviews on hair products. It helps me with type 4b hair. Keep doing what you love. Keep the faith. Only God can direct your path. God bless!!
Might be the wrong shade of wheat but I love Mielle. I only used the mask and it saved my hair! But I use a micellar water shampoo and hydrating L'Oréal combo 😊🤷🏻♀️
I haven’t watched the video yet, but I recently started using Mielle and it actually stopped my hair from breaking off. I had a lot of breakage and a lot of shed hair and my hair was super damaged and I specifically use their sea moss line which is supposed to prevent breakage and it really did help my hair a lot.
Shalom. I think you did a fantastic job of reviewing the products. You also gave what I think was a positive honest review. With that being said, the first thing was the ingredients and I think you are right. If they are using great quality products then a person would probably only need to apply the oil maybe weekly in small amounts. I am much older than you young lady and have learned that less is more. I hardly do anything to my hair. I use about two products and keep it moving. I agree that the custard is amazing and gave me the best Bantu knot out ever. In addition, I love how you speak about Yah/God Ps. 68:4. I pray much success to you.
I took my friend's advice a long time ago and would never use the same shampoo, soap or anything. I learned to cycle through products. I believe that has been the protection for me.
The rosemarry mint hair oil is something I liked using on my hair, but I rarely use it because I noticed hair loss when I used it multiple times a week. It took me 6 months or so to start noticing it. So now I only use it sparingly and when I want to make my hair smell nice. Edit: I think over use causes the trouble, and not using the product properly for your hair needs. It was user error on my end.
The oil says daily use though. So anyone who uses it daily is not at fault. The company will be at fault for incorrect directions. This is a strengthening line after all and I don't think that strengthening products should be used frequently. Only once in a while.
Those complaining have used the products over a period of time. Harsh effects do not occur after using them one time. I don't believe that using the product one time and giving a review on that is effective or helpful but could be highly misleading particularly when the complaints are a result of long-term use. I used the Pomegranate products for three months and I am now suffering from split hairs, breakage and serious hair loss. I also experienced burning particularly after using the coil sculpting custard. I have to cut it off. That was the ONLY change I made in my hair routine. Before the use, my hair was healthy, thick and long. Having heard all the praise regarding the product, I decided to purchase the pomegranate line and try it out. Bad choice! If anything, this outrage concerning the company has only given me closure regarding my current hair situation.
Been using mielle for 3 years, never had any issues, not just me but pretty much my whole family, not even the hair oil. I recently went over the lawsuit, anf analysed the ingredients from all the rosemary+ honey and pomegranate line, none of their ingredients can make your hair fall off. The products i've been using consistently : Mielle rosemary mint shampoo, masque oil + lightweight oil Mielle honey and pomegranate leave in (a literal gem), soufflé, custard, mousse and maximum hold styler.
hey girl! We have the same hair type, and I notice your hair is low porosity. For your low porosity hair, it's a good idea to run the shower hot so that it can produce steam that will allow the product to penetrate your hair (or just use a handheld steamer, lol). It will make the product look less white on the surface of your hair and help to moisturize it. Hope this helps!
I truly think it's a sensitivity to the rosemary and/or mint. Both those are herbs that have irritating properties if not diluted and used minimally. They're stimulants as well. Remember when people had pitchforks for coconut oil too
I used it for one week straight. I bought the entire line, and after one week, my hair started falling out. I returned the entire line to Amazon om thee same day.
I've always taken good care of my hair. I've been natural for 8+ years. I ONLY used the Mielle hair oil. I didn't use it regularly until last year. Initially, when I started having lots of hair breakage and scalp irritation, I thought I may have a health issue. I had a complete physical and blood work done. Everything was fine🙏🏾 I used the drops twice a week starting in May. By September, I lost sooo much hair and experienced extreme dryness and scalp SCABS!! In October, by the time I went back to silk pressing my hair, it was SEE THROUGH! I've always had super thick 4C hair! I wish I had realized that these drops were the issue sooner. I will not ever use anything from this company again. I dare you to use the drops for six months and see what happens with your hair and scalp.
They cant make it a coincidence that since they used this its definitely taking it out. A proper analysis would have to be done to exclude any other factors as well.
There’s no need to do an analysis if nothing has changed. A lot of this I believe is confirmation bias due to them selling their business. We did this with Ola Plex as well as devacurl and it came out that there was nothing harmful in the products If you look at Mielles numbers, majority of their consumers are repurchasing, which means that most of their customers are not having this negative experience.
I went through chemo in 2023 and lost all my hair. My last cycle ended on July 28 2023. For the last months my hair as been growing back really healthy. I kept my hair conditioned, as well as my scalp. A month ago I bought the Mielle leave in conditioner( not the oil)mint line and noticed the next day of using it that it made my scalp very itchy on the front. It also felt and looked dry. For the first time my I found dandruff. And I noticed that hair strands were all over my sink. My hair was very thick in the front. Now the particular section that was itchy has thinned out a lot. Luckily I’ve stopped using it, but my hair is now really thin in the front. Also my hair is really rough, dull, and dry. The only new product I used after months was the Miele leave in conditioner. I don’t know if maybe it’s just not for my hair type, I’m like a 3a, or if there is an ingredient making it fall out and dry out. In either case I’m a little bit heart broken and hopefully can go back to have full shiny hair.
I think a major question should be how often are these women clarifying their? That product is typically used with protective styles and whatnot and if you don't properly wash it off over time the hair shaft will dry out in the middle causing the hair to break. Oil is not a moisturizer...
I only used the mielle rosemary oil and still experienced issues. I think the culprit are the oils in the ingredients. Some essential oils contain irritants that can, over time, cause irritation on the scalp that may lead to hair loss (eg. camphor, carnosol, cineole in rosemary). Oils feed the fungal bacteria that cause dandruff (Malassezia yeast) which can also increase scalp irritation.
Thank you for tip. I wouldn’t buy it , i prefer your product and i happy with it. No itching no issues but it did not dry my hair out. Thank you for Naturale Rose. Have blessing weekend !!!❤❤
I never had issues using Mielle. I use the Rosemary shampoo , conditioner and deep conditioner once a month and I use the oil maybe twice a month. I also use the Hawaiian Ginger Rx line shampoo and conditioner and my hair loves it. My hair is actually growing well and I haven’t experienced any shedding.
Mielle has been on my shit list ever since the CEO and her husband harassed Linda Lynn for her critique on their rice water collection. So therefore them selling to P&G and hearing about their formula changing doesn’t really surprise me.
I’ve been using the entire mint line for the past 3 years and my hair as a straight natural has actually grown a lot. Use the products that is meant for your hair go to their site it tells you which products are for your hair type and texture.
Ty im Just getting started with Mielle. I bought the no protein deep conditioner and the white peony leave in. Used them once and really like it. Then saw all the hair fallout videos and was terrified. Thanks to you I will continue to use the two products I have and like so far. 💪🏽🙏🏽
i tried the mint line i am very careful about adding new products and making sure not to use too many at once. I know things like medication can cause hair loss so im careful to not try new things all at once. The mielle mint conditioner absolutely was the cause of my hair loss and ive been saying this for a year. well before the controversy. I wanted to make sure so i did try it more than once and came back to it months later because i thought maybe the cause was something else. Nope. It was that. I dont think it happens to everyone because many love it but Mielle has never worked for me. I never understood the hype and i tried to.
You know it may have been just a bad batch, but my daughter was using it she did have hair breakage and she stopped using it and now her hair is growing, but I don't know if she was using it every day. I use it a couple times to see if it worked on the area of my hair that was already broken off, so I don't remember, if it made a difference or not, I haven't used it in months. So I'm thinking it was a bad batch, that was the first thing that came to my mind.
My biggest take away is the fact that I wish black owned businesses would stop selling out…THIS is why we can never have things for ourselves. As a business owner myself I wouldn’t care what another mainstream company could do for me PERSONALLY buy in due time you could do it yourself 🤷🏾♀️ just my opinion
Why do I feel a bit bamboozled. I heard about the trending cancel...OMG YALL THIS ALL HAPPENED TO ME AND I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS THIS PRODUCT. I could cry. I started using the oil because it was highly recommended. I bought it recently this year and I used it in the from of my hair. I promise you my scalp became dry, flaked, and started to burn, then sure enough...my edges fell out. I had no idea that this could be the issue. Since I finished the bottle, not knowing, I've used other products and my scalp is finally calmed down. I had actual burns on my face by my edges and behind my ears. Idk what to do about this. I haven't change my routine at all, that is the only thing I've introduced. I have been using creme of nature for years and this oil is the only thing I added.
Hey girl as usual I appreciate and enjoyed this video. In my experience, I have only used the hair mask which unfortunately broke off my hair. I have and am still using the babassu oil and mint hair mask as well as the Hawaiian ginger leave in conditioner which work wonderfully for me. I have tried out the pomegranate leave in conditioner which was okay for me but the damage from the rosemary mint mask was jarring and threw me off. I have been natural all my life and I have my technique and routine down but I wanted to try a strengthening mask since I had just come out of braids and needed a little pick me up. I tried the mask twice, 2 months apart to give it a fair shot and even tried mixing a moisturizing conditioner and some oils in but those didn't work. After those two times my hair became concerningly dry and just started breaking off. I still have 3/4 of the tub and refuse to use it. P.S// My niece also hated it because it dried out her hair which is always moisturized and supple. My friend tried the shampoo and is currently searching for someone to take it off her hands because it worked terribly for her. I thought we were just the odd ones out since everyone seems to love it. That is just OUR experience though and I acknowledge that the line may be great for others.
I thought that there might be a someone sabotaging this company. There was a time when you couldn’t find the hair oil. There is something going on in the quality control process.
There have not been any formulation or ingredient changes. I have done extensive research. I understand why everyone is distressful me because they sold, but they haven’t changed anything.
@@britttanyroseno ingredients were changed but is it the same quality ingredients previously used? These big corporations are cheap as hell despite the millions they make.
@@britttanyrose You are naive to think that there is no changes after a black owned company is sold to big corporations. Multiple changes can happen not visible to the naked eye: 1- vendors of the ingredients are switched 2-replacement of natural ingredients to synthetic versions 3-the concentration ratio is not the same therefore changing the ph of the formula.
I’ve only ever tried 3 of her products. The deep conditioner, the custard 1 time(flaked bad) and the oil( I use to have a scalp that just sucked up oil, so only lasted two weeks). This was before they became really popular. And I moved on because it didn’t work for me.
Appreciate the video sis. I’ve been using the Rosemary Mint hair masque once a month for at least 6 months and my hair loves it. It gets all soft and pliable..but then again I have high porosity 4c hair. Everyone’s different though. What works for one person may not work for the next. Research must always be done first.
I've been watching a few YT on this hair product and I have the Rosemary Mint, Pomegranate & Honey & the SeaMoss Collection...I had much of a huge issue w/ any of them and I also have the 4U collection (which is ok)...I wash my hair quite a bit bc I sweat alot so I wash my hair pretty much 2xs a week...My hair is a fine curly texture so whenever I wash my hair and the product leaves my hair really soft then I'm good w/ it...I think I'll that hair product from Tracy E. Ross next...Good Video! 🫶🏾
I have been using mielle products for two years. I have 4 C low porosity protein sensitive hair. I use Tgin Rosewater hydrating shampoo. I use the mielle mongongo protein free conditioner, mielle pomegranate honey leave in conditioner, I use the mielle light rosemary mint oil drops twice a week, mielle mongongo pomade to oil daily. I also use grape seed oil, jojoba oil, & sweet almond oil. My hair has been thinning. I can't say it's from me using mielle. I have health issues that may be causing it. I also use a clarifying shampoo once a month called Nothing But & mielle babassu and mint deep conditioner once per month. Please pardon my grammar. I'm at work, I'm not supposed to be on my cellphone.
I’ve used the rosemary mint oil on my scalp and a little on my hair, I’ve used it for 1 or 2 and haven’t had any issues with it. Idk what these people are doing with oil to make their hair fall out. The honey pomegranate line….the leave in conditioner and styling products I definitely like. It smells good and make my hair soft ❤
I have used the shampoo and deep conditioner for about a year. I personally have not had any issues. I Use both products every other week (I alternate between different products) I shampoo twice because my hair never feels clean after one. I use the oil once a week.
Thanks for the review, I have heard that if you use this product only for about a month or two you can notice the affects. But anyway your curls are popping!!!😊
For most of us, we are not rookies when it comes to hair care. Rosemary mint mask dried tf out of my hair. Deep conditioning masks are not supposed to do that. No issues with the oil women could start mixing it with something else like a cream or hair grease. And so while you're cheerleading, please look up a video. This woman is using the mask, and you can see the damage happening in real time.
I LOVE YOUR RESULTS with the Pomegranate & Honey Line stylers. I watched one of the original owner's interviews. She named the line after her two daughters, who each have "Elle" in their names. So, she thought My elles, thus"MI Elle". Amen! The sourcing could be a factor. Also, how and where it's being stored.
You know it may have been just a bad batch, but my daughter was using it she did have hair breakage and she stopped using it and her hair is growing, but I don't know if she was using it every day. I use it a couple times to see if it worked on the area of my hair that was already broken off I don't remember, if it made a difference or not. So I'm thinking it was a bad batch. Maybe they're breakage was overtime after using it regularly whether it was every day twice twice a week they're breakage was more than likely overtime
It could also be that these products just don’t hydrate everybody’s hair. And dry hair breaks.. So if you’re continually using products that are not hydrating your hair, that naturally will lead to breakage regardless of what brand it is.
I'm a white girl lol I use the Rosemary Mint line since I do not need super moisturizing products. I also only wash my hair once a week. I use the shampoo and conditioning treatment in regular rotation. I did not care for the oil which I use oil as a last step sealing oil after my hair is 100% dry. I also thought their sugar scrub was a bit pointless. I do not use their stylers. I've had no problems and will continue using. Although we have completely different curl types my holy grail mousse is Doux, I highly recommend.
Meanwhile, Innersense is also taking people's hair out, but it's kinda of being hidden. You hairstyle at the beginning was very cute! You should check out Tamara's Hair Care and her horror story with mielle.
When Mielle s product first came out I used the pomegranate product and it made my hair feel like glass, so I had to wash it out of my hair to get it back to normal
The conditioner from the pomegranate line is really nice for detangling. I agree with the other comments as well. You have to use the mint line repeatedly to see the loss. It could be the products, it could be practices 💭
Question off topic. If you weren't doing a video. What products would you use to style your hair.
Can you please do videos of you doing natural braided or twist hairstyles please
Maybe they take more than one use
The loss is over time. You will have to use the products repeatedly to experience the damage they cause. ❤
I was thinking that too
I would agree if everyone was saying that their hair started falling out over a period of time, but the time frames of these claims are all over the place. I’ve seen some people say a year. I’ve seen some people say two weeks. that’s why I recommend just doing what works for you🥰
Exactly it’s my experience
I’ve been using the rosemary oil for like a year and I love it.
I have been using the oil for a couple years and it works fine for me. But I apply it to my scalp only once a week and that could be why. I have used products that tingle my scalp way more than this oil.
The fact u did this with all the contreversy girl u are brave
I believe that line is not used by yt ppl so they have no reason to change the formulation so I use that line too
Heavy on: and if they have a sale" 😂😂
They are just mad because she sold it to a corporation. products are the same nothing changed/ CANCEL CULTURE
Totally agree with this comment
Bingo this line would be fabulous to use once a month I would never use it everyday
i heard that about rice water too
All facts
You are such a force to be reckoned with ❤ Your review is positive and supportive. Thanks 🙏🏽
That's bravery at its finest.
Ikr😂🫣
The Rosemary Mint line may dry hair out but the Honey Pomegranate has never down me wrong. Amazing moisture and softness for my hair everytime.
I definitely think I’m gonna try some more stylers from that specific line!
I agree. I haven't had any issues with the honey pomegranate line, but the mint line dried my hair out, and I had to get rid of it.
ive been using the honey pomegranate curl smoothie and leave in conditioner for a few months but im kinda scared to continue
Yes like the rosemary mask is so drying
The rosemary mint line actually makes my hair really soft 😊
AGREED! Hair never dry. No breakage, defined! A perfect line for us!
The pomegranate line is what made my hair thin over 2 years
The pomegranate line worked really great for me and smelled amazing
@@DreammLovee oh no! Sorry to hear this. My hair is thick.
I also use the oil daily, shampoo, and conditioner rosemary line and no issues it's been 4 years now
Exactly what I’ve been waiting for!!!
And their rosemary mint oil says daily use 😬. I don't think people should be using it daily either.
I agree with this. Your hair will fall out from using a strengthening line all the time.
Minoxidil is the worst. It grows your hair but you can't stop using it. If you do you'll loose your hair again.
I believe rosemary dries out the hair, if used excessively. I use a rosemary clove tea on my hair for growth and for the first week, I saw results, but it dried out my scalp immediately lol
Second week, dialed it back from 4 times a week to 2 and I'm still seeing new baby hairs come in and a less dry scalp.
Same here! Added protei is not my friend now that I don't have color treated hair anymore
I agree
I do the same😭
I love how you explain the difference in how you feel about a product.
And those brands had to change their formulations. Deva curl had a lawsuit and Olaplex changed thier formula.
Looks like we are twins bc I felt the same way😂
I love your videos and your honest opinions!
Maybe moisturize and put in chunky twists at night to keep the stretch. Take down in the morning
She has a video on it I'm pretty sure (how I do a wash n go) and in the later part if I remember correctly she explains how she maintains her hair over night

Girl, the honey pomegranate line is for the 4C girlies. Their conditioner is nice and thick with great slip.
In addition, I love how you speak about Yah/God
Ps. 68:4. I pray much success to you.
I love Design Essentials Almond and Avocado. It has my hair so healthy and smells so good.
Design Essentials is my new go to.
Very good products.
@@nitajoesplaytherapy4639 is good for any type of hair
It's protein overload
I don't prefer Mielle products. It didn't take my hair out; it just wasn't enough moisture.
True, their leave in conditioner also dry your hair out, I have stop using their products.
I definitely can agree with this. Everything doesn’t work for everybody.
The rosemary mint oil made my scalp itch. And the deep treatment mask wasn’t anything special. Only used it up because i didn’t wanna waste money
Been using mielle for 3 years, never had any issues, not just me but pretty much my whole family, not even the hair oil.
I recently went over the lawsuit, anf analysed the ingredients from all the rosemary+ honey and pomegranate line, none of their ingredients can make your hair fall off.
The products i've been using consistently :
Mielle rosemary mint shampoo, masque oil + lightweight oil
Mielle honey and pomegranate leave in (a literal gem), soufflé, custard, mousse and maximum hold styler.
Same, but I have 3c/3b hair so.. maybe it's because my hair is looser.
@@NazinskyI might be able to help, which mielle products do you use and how do you use them ?
@yuu.77 I use the oil (rosemary) on my scalp after every wash day which I do once a week and the leave in rosemary mint conditioner as well.
They can never make me hate Mielle especially the leave in conditioner
The queen has spoken! (and as a note, it's MY-elle)
Yeah I personally think l people are mad she sold her company it's not bothering my haiir
They cant make it a coincidence that since they used this its definitely taking it out. A proper analysis would have to be done to exclude any other factors as well.
I know alot of people hair falling our including my own. Girl, please, you sound absolutely ridiculous because people are showing proof.
Exactly. And I understand because historically, with other brands, we have seen a change in the products.
It could be product tamering as well from a factory worker
😮 does this happen a lot?
First !!! Hi all the way from Scotland 🏴!
Hi!
I never understood the hype and i tried to.
the regular one or the leave in?
You know it may have been just a bad batch, but my daughter was using it she did have hair breakage and she stopped using it and now her hair is growing, but I don't know if she was using it every day. I use it a couple times to see if it worked on the area of my hair that was already broken off, so I don't remember, if it made a difference or not, I haven't used it in months.
So I'm thinking it was a bad batch, that was the first thing that came to my mind.
I have been using Mielle’s products since February and I really like them. I have used the shampoo, masque, leave in conditioner, and the custard.
Your hair is gorgeous 😍 ✨️
Thank you!
I believe you
i think if peoples hair fell out after one use, people would have caught onto the issues with it sooner
I thought that there might be a someone sabotaging this company. There was a time when you couldn’t find the hair oil. There is something going on in the quality control process.
You definitely want to know your moisture and protein balance of your hair.
I loved this review as well as ALL your reviews. I feel that you do a great and sincere service. Thank you!
The rosemary mint line is too drying to use every single wash day.

@@britttanyrose You are naive to think that there is no changes after a black owned company is sold to big corporations. Multiple changes can happen not visible to the naked eye:
1- vendors of the ingredients are switched
2-replacement of natural ingredients to synthetic versions
3-the concentration ratio is not the same therefore changing the ph of the formula.
Girl your hair looks GOOD‼️‼️❤️❤️
Nope I had to come back and say again🤣🤣…. Even to the roots the curls are defined‼️🥹. I love it🥰
I’ve only ever tried 3 of her products.
Hey Brittany....love your videos
PLEASE PLEASE review cantu next 🥺
Cantu is terrible! Well I think for people that like Wash N Go’s with 4 Type hair.

Thankssss
Spoiler alert. Cantù is terrible!
The way i was hoping you would review them 😅 thank you for reading my mind
I’m a Camille Rose and TGIN 4L
Girl I’ve been wanting to try tgin! How much do you like it?? 👀
This is very true g does the same thing to my hair
Really, you won’t see a difference in the first use, be serious
Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts. I would suggest that you shampoo twice if you don’t feel like your hair is clean.
@@britttanyrose Exactly 👍🏾
I'm a white girl lol I use the Rosemary Mint line since I do not need super moisturizing products. I also only wash my hair once a week. I use the shampoo and conditioning treatment in regular rotation. I did not care for the oil which I use oil as a last step sealing oil after my hair is 100% dry. I also thought their sugar scrub was a bit pointless. I do not use their stylers. I've had no problems and will continue using. Although we have completely different curl types my holy grail mousse is Doux, I highly recommend.
I needed to hear this sooooo much. I put this oil in my hair ONE time, and it freaked me out. Thank you for sharing this.
Try the Dove bond strength shampoo, conditioner and hair mask, that stuff is good and makes your hair feel great.
Meanwhile, Innersense is also taking people's hair out, but it's kinda of being hidden. You hairstyle at the beginning was very cute!
You should check out Tamara's Hair Care and her horror story with mielle.
My daughters hair and my hair love the pomegranate and honey products. My scalp feels cool, and it tingles.
When Mielle s product first came out I used the pomegranate product and it made my hair feel like glass, so I had to wash it out of my hair to get it back to normal
I enjoyed the video and your perspective as both an owner of a hair care line and a consumer.
The conditioner from the pomegranate line is really nice for detangling. I agree with the other comments as well. You have to use the mint line repeatedly to see the loss. It could be the products, it could be practices 💭
The side part bob looks so good on you ❤
Using a product once does not prove anything. At the end of the day, if a person doesn't want to take the risk just don't use the products.
Some people claimed they had hair loss after one use, so.
