I love the multi purpose leave in & the deep conditioner. I really love that whitney went to hair school during her journey to make sure she had the knowledge to make hair care products. I just love melanin haircare! & you hair looks amazing! Before the wash all the way to the end. It's obvious you take great care of your hair❤
I need to revisit these products. The travel sizes are right up my alley. I've been watching Whitney for over 12 years. He DIY kitchen mixes saved my hair back in the day because I sure didn't know what I was doing.
Whitney has been my go to for years and she inspired me to create my own products. I like her products. Nice to see you review it. My favorite is the oil and the leave in.
Your hair came out so good! The deep conditioner imo need heat added to it- it makes such a huge difference!! I know it doesn’t mention using it with heat on the label but that made the change. My hair was silky after rinsing. You should definitely re try with the heat.
👋🏽 I don’t have a steamer but used two shower caps under my dryer for 30 minutes with only the conditioner!! My hair loved it!! Im definitely purchasing this again!!!!!
Brittany - get yourself some dishwashing gloves. They are thicker than disposable gloves. It will protect your cuts! Your a trooper for filming this with a cut hand.
I love this product line and use Melanin Care products religiously. It’s my favorite of all them along with Pattern, Mielle and Camille Rose. I like the doux products but they are drying to my hair so I add olive oil and castor to the cream product
I thought it was just me regarding how dryinf the Doux products are. I have tried the gel and the mouth. The mouse make your hair look great on day and two. But after that it drys out like crazy
Stop because i love melanin hair care, haven’t even started the video but so glad to see you review this. All her products work amazing for my low porosity type 4a hair. I’ve tried the shampoo, deep conditioner and twist cream.
Tip: on Whitney's channel she posted a video on how to use her deep condish. She really encouraged following her directions. (P.S. IDK if you already watched it. I just wanted to let you know just in case. Also I am subscribed and watch your videos when you post.)
Love the line. The deep conditioner feels more strengthening than hydrating for me. I mix it with the TGIN Honey mask and it’s perfect but I also don’t leave it in for 30 mins. Great review. Looking forward to your line.
Enjoy your videos. Just a suggestion put rubber glove on your injured hand then put tape around the wrist part of the glove so your hand doesn’t get wet.
hey! i'm a cosmetic formulator and just wanna make a clarification. The ingredients list is in the order of decreasing quantities up until 1%! every ingredient added in the formula after this can be in whatever order the formulator wants. For a hint, most preservatives are used at 1% so anything listed after that is not in any particular order. this is important to note when it comes to cosmetic actives or extracts because these are typically added at 0.5-0.01% of the formula (which is fine because most of them have data that supports efficacy at this level) but may be listed higher on the list for perceived benefit Love your content!
Wow this is important to know, most times ppl think if the ingredient is higher in the list it’s more potent pertaining to the ingredient and if it’s listed at the bottom it’s less potent or not that much of it which can be misleading because you may think your hair or body hates a certain ingredient when it’s the formulation because it may actually work well in another product!!
I’m a new natural girl making my transition was very challenging, but I am learning more about what my natural hair can do when I watch your videos and apply it for myself
Beautiful ❤️ I felt the same way about the deep conditioner when I first used it. My hair is also thick and waist length. So, I tried it again and used l ess product, worked it in, and used a heating cap. When I rinsed it out, WOW!!! IT WAS AMAZING. it felt so soft and moisturized. It is now my go to. Please, try it again and let us know what you think. Love and appreciate you. Thanks for all you do.
Hey Happy Monday Motivativaton! Hair came out beautiful 😍. Just a suggestion, leave the deep conditioner in your hair the next time you style it...I would like to see you in the afro curls using bantu knots on blown-out hair. ❤🎉😊
Dry warm compresses 3-4 x a day and get ocusoft lid wipes to keep the bacteria from entering in. Also preservatives artificial tears as needed and I hope the doctor gave you the correct drops, oral meds for the inflammation and infection and ointment. This is coming from a eye care technician. ❤
Great review! I did purchase the deep conditioner and it's definitely a weird thin custard texture. It's a light protein mask and I did use it with heat for 30 mins and my hair loves it.
I have the full size of Melanin Hair shampoo that I bought months ago and it’s still going strong! I love Whitney and loved when she made her homemade Shea butter mix (that was the truth)! Donna’s Recipe is amazing! The shampoo, conditioner, leave-in and hair cream are chef’s kiss for my hair (I feel like I have 3c/4a hair that tangles something serious at the roots, even though I don’t manipulate it) and it moisturizes my hair soo much and makes it so soft and the slip is awesome. I can go 1-2 weeks with my wash-n-go and for my hair, it melts the tangles.
Thank you Brittany for sharing. I enjoy watching your content. I am going to try this product. Wishing you all the success in your business. I also will be trying your hair care line. God bless you and your family. ❤
Just love your personality, it's the fact that I bumped into your channel & was fully invested in your review for an entire hour. 💯🌟 without being bored 🤗

Keep up the GREAT WORK~!!!!
I also love the elongating twist cream. It is definitely a staple for my braidouts. I also wasn't blown away by the deep conditioner like how I thought I would be. It's not bad at all, but I have better deep conditioners. I enjoyed your review
Please try Taliah Waajid's Apple and Aloe Nutrition Curl Definer for a twist out! I think you will like how thick and moisturizing it is (hopefully lol). The Apple & Aloe line is bomb to me for this style
So im new to your channel, and I’ve been binge watching your videos and I LOVE your reviews despite our hair textures being SO different. I have TOTALLY different hair from you. I have high porosity, 3b/c curls, finer hair. I feel like you’re a great gauge for how products will work for me. I also appreciate your perspective on how different his or types might react to different products. I was excited to see your review on the deep conditioner mainly because I LIVE and SWEAR by the conditioner, oil, and the elongated cream.especially the conditioner i am the person who uses the multi use conditioner in every way that it states on the bottle and i swear i get the best results. Thanks for the content even with your own personal battles 😫
The LI is to die for! My hair feels moisturised for a week! 4B/4C texture here. It doesn't play well with UFD gel. I need a gel from Melanin for wash and goes which works with the LI!
My absolute favorite product I find that people don’t like it because it’s not being used as Whitney described. After towel dry rehydrate your hair with water first. I find her products are amazing!!
Melanin hair care is great!! I tried the deep conditioner which is not my preferred but it last a long time. I don’t use it for hydration. Her deep conditioner is more protein/moisture balance. It should feel softer and stronger vs hydrated. But idk what she got in the leave in bc it’s amazing !!
@@britttanyrose You know what now that I think about it, down here in south Florida, Ulta is now in Target so maybe that’s why I saw it on display. She was right next to Pattern Beauty front and center.
Love love love your channel for sure. You provide honest reviews and this is what I need in order to find the right products for my hair journey. I struggle with hydration and breakage on my short 4c hair.
Deep condition weekly with a plastic cap and hot towel for 20-30 minutes. Apply leave-in detangler and leave in cream conditioner daily with a plastic cap and hot towel for 20 minutes. keep wrapped in a silk scarf. Avoid gel, mousse or styling/twisting creams and butters. If you must use them use them once a week on wash day and reactivate with a leave-in conditioning mist. If you still have breakage after this you need protein treatments. That's a whole other category to avoid protein overload but also to get the necessary level of protein for your hair type. I have short 4c hair but it needs a high level of protein that most people do not need because I have neurodivergent stress and genetic nutrient deficiencies. Britanny has a good routine and list of products.
I wasn't blown away by the deep conditioner either, but the last time I used it, I realized yjat it really seemed to fortify my strands. It was a noticeable difference but I haven't tried it again because I ran out.
I love that even though these products come in pink bottles, anyone could use them because the natural fragrances. Nothing smells like flowers or fruits or "girly" per se.
So let me say, just from your preview video, I jumped out the window and purchased the oil already, they didn’t have the shampoo. I purchased at Target. Although, I know what works for you, may not work for me, but I like your style of review. So, thanks.
Been following Whitney before her line came out and I love the line. The only product I do t like is the deep conditioner, it does nothing for my hair. Tried it with and without heat but after 4x I got rid of it. But love everything else in the line. **also the multi use leave in conditioner you should try as a shampoo, that’s how she used it in the beginning and how I use it every other wash day.
@@bredgethardison7372 I’m so sorry I wrote the wrong product! I meant try using the Multi-Use Softening Leave in Conditioner as a shampoo, it’s great that way. I corrected my comment.
Whitney saved so many of us from relaxer/salon tyranny. Lol! I'd be lying if I said her videos didn't help me stay natural for 15 years and no extra big chops. Lol! Well I did have a Fro hawk last year but I didn't cut off all so I don't count that as a big chop. lol! I'm 42 and ageing is coming for my scalp and hair so I need to reduce the chemicals and heat styling. I'm not colouring those greys at all. Lol!
Oh my! I'm so surprised! I love that Melanin deep conditioner! It's one of the best I've tried. I didn't use it with the oil though. You hair is shiny though. Very pretty
when i have an injury on my hand i put the smallest size glove on it to keep it protected. you can use medical tape to seal the opening at the wrist to provide more protection.
I started with Naptual85 in 2017 when I decided to transition to natural hair. When she came out with her hair product line, I bought everything, shampoo, 2 of the multi purpose leave-in, 2 of the elongating hair cream and the oil. The only thing in the line my hair did not respond well to was the leave-in, so I gave it away. But the rest of the products are staples of mine. I have not purchased the deep conditioner because it hydrolyzed wheat protein in it. I am allergic to wheat. I use the elongating cream with The Doux texture form mousse. Great combo. My favorite hair care lines are Pattern Beauty, The Doux (the mousse, and both gels), and TGIN (Miracle RepaiRx line). My OG line is Giovanni Smooth As Silk Deep Moisture. I have been loving your content. Your hair and makeup, chef kiss. Feel better soon.
The key to using the leave in the conditioner is to apply it all over your hair prior to styling. By the time you begin to style your hair will have absorbed it and you will love it. It is actually my favorite leave in
You’re definitely right about the flat twist, I usually do that to my entire head and it’s so defined. Would love to see how your hair would look with that method too😊
Love this brand. I have been using it since it came out. The product lasts a long time too. That leave in is a staple for my son and with detangling, it makes it a breeze!
At first I didn’t like the deep conditioner. I tried it again but applying it in a pressing motion on very wet hair without the oil and I let it sit overnight. I tried it with and without the hair steamer and was amazed. My 4b hair loved it. The only thing is that after I rinsed out the deep conditioner I then applied a moisturizing conditioner to my hair and rinsed it out.
I LOVE the leave-in conditioner. The African Black Soap shampoo didn't work for me, the smell is too strong and doesn't feel very cleansing and yet it's stripping. Looking forward to trying the twisting cream when it's finally back in stock.
I've gotten the multiuse conditioner, the oil and butter. I'm someone who doesn't buy leave-ins. I double rinse out conditioners as leave-ins so I thought I would love her multiuse conditioner. I didn't...at first. Initially it really didn't feel like it was doing anything when I style on wet or damp hair. It would just absorb into my hair and feel like nothing no matter how much I used. It did feel super moisturized when it dried though. However the real appeal of the conditioner using it on dry hair...best conditioner EVER to prep for blow-drying / heat styling or refreshing dry W&G / twistout. For sure, wet or dry my hair drinks that conditioner up. So my initial review was 5/10 but after figuring out how it works best, regraded as 8/10. Also, my husband loves using it on his beard. And of course the oil and butter are fire! 10/10 for both.
I have to steam my hair and scalp every day to keep it healthy. But I was prescribed this by my trichologist. Not everyone has to do this but my scalp was inflamed and I had hair loss.

I would love to see you do a review on NATURES LITTLE SECRET & Miche Beauty ! Your hair came out bomb
Your hair is very pretty. Great job! I’ll be ordering me some when they’re back in stock.
Hope your hand heals well!
Loveee the growth, I love it here❤
Please consider you were on the RIGHT track and that was a distraction. So, don’t give up❤
I just wanted to thank you for your book recommendation I love the armour of God the lessons are addictive and I'm learning so much so ty
Eugenia kelcy has a hairline called KCurlsys. She is a type 4 youtuber with super long hair.
I've heard about her, would love to try her line.
I LOVE the leave-in conditioner. The African Black Soap shampoo didn't work for me, the smell is too strong and doesn't feel very cleansing and yet it's stripping. Looking forward to trying the twisting cream when it's finally back in stock.
I use the oil on my skin as well!!! Amazing!!
Thanks for the tips sis I ordered the cream from melanin hair care
I love your results so much. Tfs.
I’m obsessed with the leave-in. Your hair definitely looked juicy.
The heat or steamer makes a big difference with the deep conditioner ❤️👌
I have to steam my hair and scalp every day to keep it healthy. But I was prescribed this by my trichologist. Not everyone has to do this but my scalp was inflamed and I had hair loss.
It’s not a celebrity owned line, but I’ve been curious about the aunt Jackie’s butter fusions collection (it’s a masque). Might be worth a try❤
Whitney is a Celebrity in the natural hair community. Lol! I've been 15 years natural and on TH-cam. Whitney is an old G.
You sold me on the elongation butter ❤
You've convinced me to get the Elongating cream.
