Super helpful video! I'll be putting new shift solenoids in my lesabre and all the videos going over the process are detailed in how to drop the cradle but dismiss how to access and remove the axle beforehand to actually get at the trans side cover. So thank you for the super detailed teardown process :D

Great job, nice how you show we all forget something like the spacer. LOL Did you torque the axle nut to a certain spec. or not?

No, i did not torque. I go with the old tighten it and make sure it spins freely but is tight like old press in bearings.

Also put it on without the shield before it was all tightened and easily done.

How do you diagnose that the axel is bad? I'm having some weird shit going on with my car and changed the bearings and tierods but it didn't help When I hit a bump it feels like my car is sliding on ice and steering has some play in it Also hearing some humming at high speed

If you grab the axle shaft and there is play between the boots means the ball joints inside are worn. Could be a balljoint or strut issue thoughthe way it sounds as far as a bump. The humming could be something as simple as uneven tire wear if you have already replaced the hubs.

Hey, So I have a hub seized on to my axle can't get em apart, I think im gonna cut the axel out with a cutting wheel. Seems like it should work rite?

I would try heating and beating first, but yes if you want to or are already replacing the hub and axel that would work

@@TheMechaninition I replaced them both, after I decided to do that everything turned out fine

Great, yes sometimes a new part rather than working on separation is totally worth it
