- Today we get our CSF Radiator installed!
It’s not the easiest due to the space limitations with the front mount intercooler piping.

Installed a Mishimoto radiator with their silicone hoses back in December on my ‘23 and used OEM coolant. I’m in Arizona so it’s been 110° and so far so good!👍🏼
I looked at that one too. Both seem like great options!
@@JoeyMontalto Yeah I’ve read the plastic on the OEM one cracks over time from all the heat. Read lots of positives & negatives on Mishimoto, but the radiator seems to be really nice quality and well made!

Just a quick update report. It's been pretty hot and humid in Wilmington recently. Sitting in stop and go traffic with ac on it hasnt gone above 205
@@JoeyMontalto a big difference in opinion, heat kills things faster.

Joey, I’m very interested in doing a STi swap on my WRX but having problems on what to look for. Did your sti transmission come directly from a salvageable car? Any advice would be appreciated! A whole list of what I would need (part wise) to get the job done. Thanks!
Surprised you didn't change out the radiator hoses to aftermarket while you were at it.
I was thinking about it but decided last minute not to. Im kinda looking into a heat sleeve instead of new hoses.
@@JoeyMontalto Sounds good. The new hoses are mostly cosmetic anyway.
My temps hit 220+ in hot weather or pushing the car in normal temps. Does your AP temp read differently than the stock gages?
If oil thats where it should be at min.
My oil temps do go above 220 sometimes. The coolant temp has been pretty stable so far. It rarely goes above 200.
Okay, thanks for clarifying. I don't know what I was thinking. I was just living in Long Beach CA. Last 6 months and spotted some of that VP coolant additive at a VP gas station. Was wondering if it was snake oil?

I was just thinking how I love the fenders on these cars, but the black detracts from the hips. Im getting a wrb colored TR and I plan to get the grimmspeed paint to match fenders.
Fenders flares are a hot topic not sure if I want gloss black or paint matched. I didn't know grimmspeed sold paint matched flares. I don't see them on their site
Keep the ac OFF and you should see a spike over 200. That would be a true test before and after :(
I drive with the ac on and had it idleing in the garage blasting ac with no airflow of course. Temps seem to be pretty stable
