I love this technique. This how I was taught in school only we weren’t taught those little details that make the biggest difference (I.e. paying attention to the elevation as you work up the head).
Currently a cosmetology student at The Salon Professional Academy due to graduate March 12th!! I found these videos while researching a good layer technique for my total look final. I absolutely love them!! So easy to understand and see and follow along if desired. Will definitely be subscribing and recommending these to anyone I know in the field who may want to learn a little extra or need a little help!!
I absolutely love how clear and concise these videos are. I appreciate your tips. Thank you for always being accessible too. I've noticed that you really do go out of your way to be available to those who need help.
I am an hair extensionist and this technique is perfect and simply well put for me to achieve even better transition between the bang and the newly installed extensions. Thank you for this video. Make so much sense now. Well done. From Canada
Amazing gonna give my mom the best side swoop ever now thanks for the technique! Made it till the end just finished my studies so could use all the help I can get and your videos are so clear and helpful thanks again!
Thanks for giving us hairstylist fresh takes on haircuts or reminding us of the correct techniques. I will definitely be trying this on my next client with side bangs.
I never ever comment on vieeos but you made my bangs look like they were done by a pro! I was your hands and your work is great! I love my new bangs and bow I can stop having people mess them up. I will be sharing your chqnnel with all of my girlfriends and friends with bangs! Thanks?
Wow thanks for sharing this with us. I’ve struggled with the side fringe a bit. It always seemed to heavy like you said and never looked right to me. I just graduated cosmetology school so this will be very useful for me for sure. Thank you again for breaking it down step by step. Sure wish my instructors would have done that.
I always look for ways to improve my technique and your videos hit the nail on the head. I always come away with a greater understanding. It is kinda funny because I personally was having an issue with the side fringe cut and within a few days there pops up this video. You always provide a wealth of information and I swear I get better results watching your videos than “schooling”! Keep the videos coming 😁
Love this.I am a hair stylist and can't find anyone who can do this.I'm going to try it myself.Thank you for sharing. And yes a giveaway would be super cool.I always look forward to your videos.
😍❤🥰 I always love a perfect side bang. I'm one that tends to slide cut, but I do like to go back and check I take out bulk too, but I forgot the "across the street" fringe, which is what this reminds me of from school. Thank you Matt:) I truly appreciate having your knowledge to help me grow further in my career:)
That's the bangs I wear. Thank you for this. I cut my own hair. Lol! Now I want to learn how to go lighter after being a dark brown (espresso) Schwartzkoff box dye which I'm not into box dyes but their hair color stayed on my gray hair the longest. Now I want to go lighter. I went to beauty school in 1985. Lol!
It amazes me how simple your techniques are clean straight forward common sense. Yet When I go to a hairstylist sometimes even at a beauty school and try to explain what I want them to do, using your language . They have no clue what I'm talking about. I'm not asking for anything complicated just part off center and shorten the bangs or fringe on the heavier side. They don't understand how to part hair or section it. I have Old lady hair gets in my face and on my nerves. Thanks for the video perhaps I can use it as an example in parting hair .
I love this! I loved your modern shag video too! I am absolutely in love with the new joico color intensity colors that you spotlighted. Thank you for the tips and tricks! Your videos are the best!
I watched all the whole video. I’m not a hair dresser, I’m just trying to find a way to get my bangs to look better. Mine are shorter but no matter what length I have them, I can’t get them to fall the way I want them to. I love these bangs!
Gonna show this DEFINITELY to my Hair Bestie... I just cant find anyone to cut this side bang - fringe for me This was definitely a great video to show them direction 😊😊😊😊😊
I love the result & doesn't look hard to do. I watched till the end. I could really use the paul Mitchell products, it would be a blessing to win. Thanks 4 doing a giveaway & Thanks SO much for sharing this technique I've been wanting to do this on my hair. Have a blessed evening.
Hi Matt in the process of opening my own salon what is the best blow dryer and flat iron should I get? BTW thanks for the fringe tip I actually use this technique during my cuts ever since I learnt it from one of your previous videos
I love cutting my own hair, thank God it grows back.
Girl, same !
I love this technique. This how I was taught in school only we weren’t taught those little details that make the biggest difference (I.e. paying attention to the elevation as you work up the head).
