I don't know how many years ago, maybe 25 or so, one of my favorite cuts I've done, was on twisted sections all over the head on a short haircut, without comb as my guide. She loved it and it did look great!
It's very good, but you did not mention the triangle part from the top of the. head, my hairdresser showed me this but I never knew that part of this twist from the top of the bangs which appears to be a triangle shape seems to be important.

Yes will be good too, but start with low elevation and don’t cut too short at first, keep it longer than you want then if it’s looks so long you can back and cut little bit more, because small forehead can be tricky for people who doesn’t have experience in cutting hair.

I used another similar hack just take your bangs the same way twist it a few times with your hand, no comb comes out the same way
I just commented..that is exactly the way used to cut my bangs!
That’s how I do it, a lot easier than messing about with the comb.

I used to cut my bangs like this, but i didn't use a comb. I just twisted the section i wanted, made sure it was centered and cut.

I've seen this and it works well, however it's trickier with me curly hair no matter how wet it is😢
