Great job bud!...you can use a small amount of grease on your gaskets when rei stalling so they stay in place for you. It's also helpful if for any reason you forget something that you can re crack the case's and the gasket will be fine. I've done it on all my racing days on mine and my son's bikes with no issues, etc. Again, I really appreciate your attention to detail and have learned a few things from you like putting curclips in. I've always used needle nose pliers but your method works better. Cheers!
Well even the bigger shops aren't talented like the "one man band"! Surely one day you'll get there!! (If you wanted ) when I found your channel, it had 1k subs...now look!?!
Hello Doug. Thanks! Dang 1K. I remember working up to 1K. Took like over a year to get over 1K. But it was fun. The wife would laugh when I would make a video and a day later she would ask how many views is it up to and I would say um like 7 lol. I would joke and say its gone viral Hahaha. When we finally move to our property in brooksville I will have a larger shop but waiting till the economy turns back around before we can start any building. Till then I honestly cant complain though, life is good
Honestly I like your videos more than those annoying "professional" guys that look like gym rats that have the dumb music and too much editing/speeding up/etc. I think watching too many of those kills brain cells lol. I learn a lot more here than watching those.
LoL. Thanks! I could use a little time in the gym myself lol. I agree with the music and over editing. That kinda drives me nuts too when I watch them videos. There are a few guys though that put together videos pretty organically and I do enjoy them. When I first started these one of my inspirations was Ave, the way he put his videos together in his shop I found interesting. I watched a whole lot of him during the pandemic lock downs. Not sure if you seen his videos before but here is a link www.youtube.com/@arduinoversusevil2025 . Cool and funny guy. Its not dirtbike stuff but hes real funny.
Thanks! Yes I have had cranks rebuilt before. If a new crank is available its better to use a new one in most cases. Each time a crank is pressed apart and pressed back together it become a little looser and can be easier to knock off true. So a brand new crank will be a stronger crank overall. But sometimes on older bikes a new crank is not a option anymore and the only option is a crank rebuild. Plus like you mentioned, cost effective. A new crank is often about the same price or maybe slightly more than buying the rod, bearing, & pin and paying to have it rebuild. I do highly suggest checking the true on a crank after its been rebuilt. I had a crank rebuilt one time that was grossly out of true 😳
Well you knocked the crank out of true by beating on the crankcase it only takes a slight knock to put a crank out of true pal I would of used a tusk crankcase tool to draw the cases together just saying pal love you video and I watch every single one keep them coming pal
Thanks. I would sure hope not. Not with that rubber mallet at least. I have trued cranks before and they take one hell of a hard solid hit to even budge. I mean like a heck of a swing
Hello. Rocky, motosport, and partzilla. I did a video on ordering parts if you are interested... th-cam.com/video/slOfGOMQshs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=h77A3G2Dq6cRragu
Another excellent video! Great attention to detail. Great tips on ensuring how things get put together exactly as how they were.
Thanks! 🤙

@@UpAllNight91 Thanks, I'll check out his channel!
Your an excellent teacher. Do you ever send a crank off and have the rod, bearing and pin replaced and reuse the two sides or is it not cost effective.
