As long as it worked it was very nice. But after about a year some functions started to fail. After 2y, right about the time when the warranty was gone, the hdd died. This was the Ultra device of its time. I remember seeing this in magazines and review sites thinking I'd never be able to buy a phone like this, the pinnacle of mobile technology.
Same here. It was my dream phone in 2007-2008. But the price was so high, it costs like 5 month worth of my mom's salary. So i can only dream about it. Bought it last month on Aliexpress for like 20-30$. Using it as second phone only for calls. This thing can even run Quake3 :D
Nokia was the best in its original days for almost a decade. Cellphone manufacturers will never be as innovative as Nokia; let alone the whole N Series lineup, which was consistently innovative.
This was the phone that first had that excellent 5mp sensor. I got it a bit later in my N82 and after that again in the N79. About a year ago I did a video n the N79 and it's TV out ability.
It's hard to believe we will see something from HMD as feature packed or remarkable as the N95 8GB. HMD don't have the resources and the landscape has changed so dramatically now. It's a fact the slab is nearing its peak. Foldable phones from Samsung and such are probably the next big leap but HMD would never be able to add to that landscape. The best they will probably muster is the X60/70. It's safe to say that Nokia of yesterday is certainly gone for the foreseeable future. The phone sales are just not there to warrant the R&D needed to produce something that had the impact of the the N95 and more specifically the N95 8 GB. I've been saying for ages now the just need 3 phones. Budget like the 1.4. Higher budget like the 5.3 or 5.4. And a true feature packed midrange. All they need is a good SOC. A good quality screen. Descent cameras and an updated build of the Lumia 920, 1020 or N9 with true minimalist design in the retro colours maybe. Maybe I'm just wrong but if your gonna do budget, use your strengths and do it right. Great vid as always.

I loved Nokia! The E90 Communicator was my favorite phone. I used to daily for 5 years before I was forced to upgrade. Love to see you make a video of an E90
I was a boarding student at a faraway college in 2007 and the internet was heavily censored there! It was the only college suitable for a learner of my ability. If I had known about the Nokia N95 at the time, AND that it had a full web browser, I would’ve asked my parents to get me one! This was clearly a proper iPhone before iPhones got good enough to replace it! iPhones didn’t always have picture messaging, nor downloadable apps nor could they always shoot video, this 2007 phone had all these! I did still get uncensored internet access, I went to nearby cybercafes. I wouldn’t get a smartphone til late 2008 when I got an iPhone 3G for my birthday that year. Had I been able to go to a local college and NOT have to board, I would’ve held off getting my first iPhone til the release of either the iPhone 4 or the iPhone 4S!
I remember asking my mother to buy me one when I was in elementary not knowing it was crazy expensive. She was paying for her phone plan and they have one on display.
This phone is smarter than today's Nokia phone. just apps store need to be fixed. then Symbian is actually okay! Symbian is details, awesome animations, more advanced. Today's kai OS apps store is great but the style and is terrible and no much animations, more features are missing which is in Symbian. I actually want Symbian back and not to keep the kai OS. Thing it compatibility and apps. A small fixing will do it. And today's model is so simple and so sliders or flip or any special just ordinary Nokia's. I want these sliding to be back. Flip I saw one like some months ago but it has small screen, and stuff. Before Nokia flip phone has the horizonal thing which is also not there. I want Nokia to be like before. And I want a comeback of Symbian. N95 Symbian is awesome. And I don't think Nokia has the front camera anymore. Before design were detailed. Now all companies are focusing on oversimplified. I want detailed back.
Having this phone, was like having a Ferrari in my pocket. Great nokia craftsmanship at its best. I called it the sports model and i absolutely loved it 😅
Wow thanks for reviewing this. This is such alovely phone, that 2.8inch screen really big back at old days. And the other superb thing is dual slide design and that 3D HW Accelerator. Great device, as was the presentation you did in this video! A bit of (kind of recent nostalgia thrown in there as well, reminds me of why I like Nokia devices and continue to do so.
If I'm not wrong, this device used a physical hard-drive to get built in 8GB storage🤔
You are wrong

I remember hooking it up to my tv, to watch movies on it. The fun times....
I called it the sports model and i absolutely loved it 😅
My father bought this with a 1000$ 20 years ago
the dual speaker setup is the best ever; one speaker on each side of the phone gives an immersive surrounding experience
N for Nokia
Wow thanks for reviewing this. This is such alovely phone, that 2.8inch screen really big back at old days. And the other superb thing is dual slide design and that 3D HW Accelerator. You can play almost all high bitrate video without lag with maximum 640x480 resolution. The only thing that bother me is Mini USB port. I bought it too, from local market around 2 month ago. It have white colour and its 8gb Ver. Really happy to see people review old nokia Nseries phone.
Thats day is verry exclusively for wealthy guys. When blackberry come to every market. Nokia is back, but not the same.
