Impedance matching. These drivers are so small, the more you can port load the driver, the more it can achieve. 6th orders, T-lines are very capable, I'd like to see what a horn in this form factor could achieve, though I imagine it'd be a nightmare to fit into the build plane of a 3D printer. Folds galore.

These videos are really unique and interesting because they 1) demonstrate how 3d printing can be an enabling tool in the advancement of other hobbies and knowledge domains and 2) because Hexibase is capable and intelligent, but not a dedicated 3d printing expert. This gives a really interesting look into what is practically achievable for a hobbyist that wants to use a printer as a tool, and does not want to invest a ton of time into becoming a 3d printing specialist. For years now, almost every commercial printer has been capable of producing excellent parts in the hands of an expert or specialist, so the evaluation criteria needs to shift to what it is capable of producing in the hands of a competent generalist.

So I went ahead and got me a printer after watching your v.2 build. It was my first print ever so there was a lot of trial and error. I got it done and opted for an internal bluetooth circuit amp and power supply input as the only externally visible connection (Pics on thingiverse). This is doable, thanks to you Sir! Just finished v.3 for my desktop setup the other day. Got a Dayton Audio DTA-2.1BT2 100W 2.1 for a dedicated sub channel and 2 satellites laying around AND THE SOUND IS AWESOME!!!! The dual subs don't even break a sweat, so I'm working on a remix now to take advantage of my 310x310 build volume. Will post on HexiBase Thingiverse remix page once complete with specs.

You designs are incredibly impressive. Your little 3" sub builds get my 15" sub in my living room moving. None of my book shelf speakers nor headphones can reproduce the bass properly. For anyone who is watching, if you don't have a system capable of producing some seriously low frequency bass, you are totally missing out.

I believe Dirk is correct about the heat bed wiring being the issue with this printer. I've just ordered some replacement wires to help mitigate any possibility of failure in my printer soon. But so far it's been printing flawlessly!
I've subscribed and am looking forward to watching more of your videos. Great work and take care! ✌️

I really enjoy your channel. Been a subscriber for a while but really didn't get hooked until you combined 3D printing with enclosure design. I would love if you could get into the theory and practical design side of things. I've gone through almost every single WinISD youtube tutorial online but I don't think WinISD can support complicated enclosures like the ones you make (T-Line, etc). I'm looking at using a Tang Band W5-2053 and it's other slightly beefier cousin in a small car foot well enclosure. Whatever ported box I design seems to have a steep drop off after 40hz. I'm just a total newbie hobbyist and hope you can do a video on box design! Love the channel, thank you!

I'm pretty impressed! I rebuilt my printer and was looking for some large prints to try. Printed just about perfectly! I did have a bit of problem with the corners lifting, but that's my fault. It goes under my desk, so I'm not too worried! I also had to sand the tongue and groove to get them to fit together. Also my fault and I haven't fixed that yet! Also... Don't use 5 minute epoxy. It takes too long to cover the whole joint! I just barely made it.
I pared it with a pair of the Back Horn sphere speakers with Tang Band W3-1364SA speakers I had laying around. Sound great! I'm powering them with a Fosi Audio BT30D-S with 50+50+100 watts.
This speaker makes a great setup for my desk! You'd never believe this was 4 3" speakers! Sounds so much bigger! I can't believe the sub makes so much bass!!!
Hexibase, you’re amazing! Thank you so much!!!
