How To Use Loreal HiColor Hi Lift Hilights And Overtone Color At Home
for the roots i mixed
3 bottles of Loreal Hicolor in shade H12
1 bottle of Loreal Hi Color in shade Magenta
half a bottle of the 16 oz 40 Volume
then I washed her hair with Overtone Color Conditioner in shade
Extreme Magenta
then I washed her hair with just Shampoo and then saturated her hair with Overtone Color Mask and i mixed the Shades in Extreme Magenta and a tablespoon Extreme Purple and let sit on her hair for 20 minutes

These colors do not require pre bleaching. Thats why its a hicolor multi level lift. The higher volume develor you use is how intense the color will be. If you use 20 (medium lift)it wont be as vibrant as if you use 40 (high lift). Also for beginners a bottle is usually so much easier/cleaner to mix/apply.

My cousin used loreal hilights magenta and violet 2 instead to fix the tone and it came out like this but more like plum it was so beautiful 😍 and you did such a awesome job love it!!

Do you recommend this over bleaching to get a brighter burgundy plum color? My hair dresser uses salon grade hair dye but it’s always brighter at the bottom where I had bleached my hair and the top looks bright then brown after 1 wash.

Hi :) I’ve always wanted to dye my hair red and I’m mustering the courage to do it. I have medium length, virgin hair (it goes down to about half my back), do you think I could get this same color intensity with two reds, one magenta, and 30 volume developer?
My hair is currently growing out the black that I used to dye it.... so from my shoulders down it’s black... if I did that L’Oréal Hi-color on the black parts of my hair to do like an ombré affect, would that work?

Question! I have medium brown hair. I would love to do this- but only ones! I want to go back to my original medium brown color. Does the red wash out of the hair? Or does it change the original hair color in any way? If it does wash out how long Before i Get my original color back?
I believe this is permanent dye, so to get your original hair color back, you'll have to grow the red out

Will 20 still lift with virgin hair
i have my natural medium brown on my roots and bleached ends. could using a 20 volume developer give me the lift i need for the brown to lift enough to match the parts that are already blonde? based on the charts on google, my natural color is a level 4 or 5
I'm brunette and use 30 to lift
It's the safest option with the most life without damaging hair is what I mean
im looking online right now and im not seeing an option for the H12 would the "h20 violet red" be the same? or would that be too purple for the same results as this video? my hair is in the same condition as the girl in the video right now and im ready to redo it
shannon thomas h20 is too dark, it’s more of a purple. h12 is part of their hicolor line in red. not hicolor highlights

I did the same thing with lakme hair dye. They have a very similar colours called lakme mix in red. Or lakme red motion.

I use this color and I only leave it on the roots for 20 minutes if you want it brighter then 30. With 30 vol developer

the base should always be even of any color u want

Faith Lee this is what I’m dealing with now. I’ve been dying my hair black for years and now I just bought the magenta try to get every single strand I have to do it 2x because it’s uneven which is what you’ll prolly have to do if you don’t want to bleach

color removers tend to have good results & you’ll forego bleaching!

No no no no!!! Don’t bleach your hair before adding this product in. You can do it with dark hair, it says right on the box and I’ve done it with dark brown virgin hair before and it was the magenta. It turned magenta within 30 mins. Please don’t bleach it cause you don’t need it.

I’ve been box dying my hair black for 6 years, I’m definitely going to bleach my hair first before using this. I did red money pieces a couple months ago and used manic panic I had to bleach the front 4 times just to get it to a dark brassy orange color lol
