Just letting you know the loreal hicolor still has lightener (bleach) in it. Thats why you need a 30 volume developer, so you have to be careful to not leave it on too long and don't use it over and over too closely together but you still will get hair damage if you over use it

I been dying my hair for years girl and what i can recommend is using loreal high color always for dark hair it will always lift your hair with no need of bleach with 30 vol and 10 vol just to deposit color to maintain the color for the color that you liked with the box dye ypu can use magenta in the high color from l'oréal

Ive been using Loreal HiColor for years! Magenta has a pink undertone so it’s more red pink and it will fade to a pinkish color. I personally use Red and Hot Red and those have a more orangey undertone and it fades to such a pretty orangey red once this that people compliment more then when it’s freshly dyed 😂 anyways, if you want a darker red going forward, use Manic Panic Vampire red once this starts to fade. Try to avoid box dyes cause you’re just adding more peroxide to your hair and damaging it further. Manic panic is a conditioning semi permanent dye and it sooooo rich and vibrant and leaves your hair silky smooth! Any questions I can help 😘

i literally went through the same process as you did literally came out with the same color bc my hair was jet black before going red didn’t like the bright red , so went burgundy and came out just like yours but now my color faded horribly ): & just don’t have the energy to constantly touching up just waiting for my hair to get at a good length so can back to black again or maybe blonde but love the new hair color on you 😍❤️ looks so good !!!!!

I wanted red soo bad! I messes up my hair in the process bc I wanted to void the bleaching and thinking back I could've bleach my hair woth a 30dev and apply the color easily.. Instead I just apply the color with 30dev no change then 2 rounds of color remover, added the high color loreal some what of a change the lady I was told that I needed a 40 dev and leave it for longer so that's what I did somewhat of a change I was ok with the results 3 weeks later color faded out 😢
I’ve never used permanent dye before but I want my hair in the middle of the first and second color. I think mixing the magenta and a cooler tone shade would help? I want almost purple undertones but not dark enough to be burgundy. More like a cranberry or wine color

Try the garnier olia 4.0 it's dark intense auburn it's the perfect color. I've used it for years but recently I went to the store and didn't fined it and grabbed the green box dye it was a beautiful color the only thing is it's bleeds every single time I wash it and it fade more quickly than the garnier olia box. All reds bleed but eventually the olia one stops, the green box still hasn't stopped and I've washed it maybe 10 times
I've tried alot of box dyes I've been doing it since I was 16 lol and the best so far is garnier olia I use 4.0 or 4.62 that one is dark garnet red. 4.62 is my all time favorite but that one is hard to find

I learned another healthy way to strip your hair from hair dye is using a purple shampoo I normally keeps mine black also and it's been working wonders for me for the last 3 years
@@Aprilglitter4 I spray my hair with water the I put the purple shampoo in my hair and let it set for a hour with a cap on then I rise it out. I do this twice before I dyed my hair.
