How to get burgundy/plum colored hair without bleaching it

- I’ve changed my hair many of times and have learned a lot on the way so here is what I do to achieve my color ♥️
Tools and products used :
Mixing bowl

L’Oréal technique hi color highlights in the shades red and H19 true violet

What color came out? I want to try mixing those colors too mine is a plum like this video, but I want to touch up adding magenta to my color mix
@@23yaqueline that sounds so pretty!! I want to do more of a magenta/plum color because it will compliment my dark brown skin... I didn't do it yet because 1) my hair was in HORRIBLE condition so I'm doing treatments, 2) I relax my hair and I heard it may damage my hair even more to color it but idc lol, 3) I have permanent black dye in my hair and I will need a color lift to take out the black first, and then dye it. Soooooo lol.... I am planning to dye my hair eventually but for now I have to baby it LOL. But when I do I am also going to get some burgundy braiding hair so I can do top knot buns and style it. Honestly I might just look for a burgundy\plum wig that I can wear while I get my hair to a healthier state. Let us know if you decide to dye yours!
Another product that works well to remove black hair dye without damaging your hair at all is a product called oops it’s a color remover you can find at Walmart

It looks hella good! This is the exact color I’ve been wanting. I just bought magenta and deep violet from Sally’s yesterday. Hopefully they create a similar shade.

@@theequeen637 I just barely died it last night. It came out pretty good. I was worried about getting hot roots so I didn’t leave the color on that long (only about 20 minutes after I finished putting the color on my roots which I did last). Because of that my red is a bit more subtle. I might redo it one more time in a month or so to go brighter.
Okay if i mix the two tubes completely will still achieve that Plum dark look? i don’t want it to look too bright i love how yours came out but i wonder if i mix both of the tubes 100% Instead of full red half violet will i still receive that same color

dude i love you for doing this i have been scrolling and scrolling through All social media looking for someone doing these two exact colors and ACTUALLY mixing it together showing real results oh my god i’m so in love !!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I have one question how much developer did you use i suck at measuring shit So i know u mixed the entire two tubes of dye and then the developer i didn’t catch exactly how much you used can you please help? Hi thank you so much I really appreciate it 💓 but to answer your question I would recommend using half of the purple shade to each full bottle of red you use and for the developer I’ve never measured it I just add it just like I would water to pancake batter and an hour could be a long time you don’t want to o we process your hair just check it every 15 minutes to see if it has gotten as light as you’d like

It’s been a minute but I believe that’s a rough estimate of the amount that I used just make sure you don’t use to much violent if you want the color to be brighter

How do you know how much developer to use when mixing the colors?
I just add as needed just like you add water to pancake batter 😂 if that helps

You need developer if you do not use it you will damage your hair severely also the developer helps lift tone and hold the actual color

How much developer do you put in with the dye
I never use measurements I just kinda eye ball it and make sure it’s not runny or dry

Where can I buy this hicolor dye?? Is it only at Sally's or reg stores too also if I already bleached my hair a few shades to light brown do I still have to use the developer or would it work without it
I’ve personally only see it at Sally’s and yes to use that product your supposed to mix it with developer however once you achieve your color in the future to touch it up you can use semi permanent dye from a brand called (adore) so you don’t keep processing it

Yes In order for the product to process it has to be mixed with developer but depending on high light it is you can just apply a semi permanent hair dye brand by the name of “adore “ it can be found at your local beauty supply I use ruby red to touch up once it fades out

Hey so I noticed when u dyed ur hair you didn’t do the roots last, did u end up with hot roots when u had this color?
No I did not end up with hot roots because this dye is less harsh to me on the hair it kinda just makes it even in my opinion

Man i tried this combo on my head and the plum wasn't plumming enough for me
😂😂 that’s how I felt when I did mine I wanted it a little brighter but what I did like was when it faded it did fade to a brighter color so it was ultimately a happy ending

Gf mixing hair color is not about consistency.. it’s about perfectly measuring the dye and the peroxide according to the directions.. bleach is more of a consistency thing . But color . No,,, you can mess up your color not mixing it like they say..

This the color I wanted I used magenta and my hair came out too red😩
Hmmm maybe try mixing a darker shade or you can use a semi permanent stain from the brand “adore”
