@@shadowbladezorru2748 dude, spirit of the pharaoh was the ace monster of one of the seven stars from yugioh GX and, i shit you not, thar guy was an egiptian pharaoh, known as an undefeated duel god, because he was so bad at yugioh that everyone who dueled him did their best( and explicutly tried hard, cause they needed to) to lose on pourpose to him. His whole gimmick in the duel was that he was sooo bad and anticlimatic.

Even though Abidos's existence contradicts almost the entire lore of Ancient Egypt established since they never had the card game back then. So how was Abidos somehow an 'undefeated duelist'
If only they let you use nomi cards like that in the extra deck. No idea why they don't. I'd just do that casually if someone let me, similar to gearfried the swordmaster or perfectly ultimate great moth with hyper metamorphosis in speed duel as you lose if you draw them.

More proof that Spirit of the Pharaoh is bad: In the GX anime, there's a one-off villain who plays a Spirit of the Pharaoh deck. The fact that he runs that bad card is then used as evidence by the other characters that he's a terrible duelist, and his 100% win record is just an artifact of his servants always throwing games.
For the people who want to know which character he's referring to. It's Abidos the 3rd one of the Shadow Riders. So go figure he played a bad deck (Granted the only one I think is interesting is Camula but I digress)
He wasn't a bad duelist. Nor was he really a villain (despite being a Shadow Rider). He just used a bad deck, because he thought the wins he gotten were deserved. I imagine once Jaden told him his deck was ass, he went and got a real one.

Kind of wished they retrained Fushioh Richie since it was a pretty interesting card. Especially in terms of lore of a sorcerer killing others in order to become a undead lich from the looks of it.

@@brianaguilar8283 There's still the the whole "can't summon anything else nor can do any damage this turn" and being flipped facedown would let your opponent easier to kill it(yes, there's Junk Sleep but it can get popped due to there's so much backrow hate cards out there)
that would be weird since his effect is tied to one particular card that being Castle of Dark Illusions where he just gains 100 atk & def for 4 turns when that card it active.....honestly the effect itself is quite mediocre and it's likely the only reason anyone would use Pumpking would be to use him as XYZ fodder or something

They're both Zombie types with a archetype of sorts (Pumpking, Pumprincess, eh?) and using Pumpking (and Castle of Dark Illusions) to boost other monsters on your side of the field while using Pumprincess to nerf your opponent's monsters is quite deadly.

Spirit of the Pharaoh, is super bad. But I think it's important to remember that it was legitimately made as a joke card. In the anime the guy who uses it was royalty, and he "never lost a duel" until he played against Jaden, and he thought he was the best, but only because his servants would just intentionally lose in order to make him feel better about himself, while Jaden just treats him as another opponent instead of Royalty. It's just a card in service to be a lesson about honesty. Though it is just like, the worst thing ever and loses him the game like the second after it's summoned.
Fushioh Richie CAN be cheated out via "A Wild Monster Appears!" All you have to do is flip it face down via its effect and it won't be shuffled back into the deck.

Camula, the shadow rider from Yu-Gi-Oh GX, was hot as hell but even I admit her Vampire Genesis was not really that much of a threat. They just released cards like that just to promote the show.

I had a Spirit of The Pharaoh deck back in the day that kicked ass. Gravity Bind, Level Area A, Level Area B and other cards were so fun to play... Ah, the good old troll days. :')
you can special summon Fushioh Richie with "A wild monster appear" spell card, normally you wold need to send the special summoned monster back to you deck at the end of the turn, BUT, because Fushioh Richie can flip itself face down, he can avoid returning to your deck.
I wish they would make something like a “Vampire Genesis Reborn”. Just as an example. They could rework his effect to make him meta like doomking balerdroc is. Maybe allow you to banish zombies to summon him like a chaos zombie boss monster and then allow you to summon from hand or grave like a red eyes darkness metal for zombies.
Another reason Vampire Genesis is so bad is that, at the time it came out, Vampire Lord was one of the best level 5-6 monsters in the game. Weaker attack than Jinzo or Summoned Skull, but a revival effect that was ABSURDLY strong for when it came out, and an incredibly good effect when it dealt battle damage, back when the graveyard wasn't really a resource. So you were trading a really, REALLY good Zombie monster for... something other cards did better. In fact, there was a better Zombie revival card, Book of Life, released IN THE SAME STRUCTURE DECK.
I just think about a very good top 10 idea. How about you make top 10 monster that power creep other older monster with the similar effect in every possible way? The first example is Necroworld Banshee and Immortal Ruler lol
The other thing Great Mammoth of Goldfine has over Skelgon, is the fact that the former's materials are both zombie types, wich is more consistent in a zombie themed deck (except if you play Zombie World so that Blackland Fire Dragon becomes a Normal Level 4 Zombie, which is better than a Level 3 Zombie Dragon I guess...)
The RESULT of the effect of Spirit of the Pharao is actually really good in modern Yugioh. The card "Superancient Deepsea King Coelecanth" allows you to summon 4 normal level 4 or lower fish monsters from your deck, which can then be used for Link/Xyz summons. Of course, the effect gets the cards *from your deck* instead of the graveyard, and the card is just a regular 2-sacrifice monster. 4 Level 4 monsters are already not bad, but with modern extra deck monsters, that's a pretty insane effect. Still though, even if it got 4 zombies from your deck, I doubt anyone would play it even in rogue decks with that insane summoning requirement. The least thing they could have done is have the sarcophagi have half-decent effects and all be spell cards so you can play then from your hand and they're not dead cards. I love the idea behind Spirit of the Pharao, but the execution is so terrible I don't even want to play it, and I'm biased in favor of it.
To add onto Pain Painter's downsides, Shiranui Spectralsword exists. Its effect is to banish itself and a monster from the grave to special summon a synchro monster of the same level as the two banished monsters added together as long as it's a zombie, basically a graveyard synchro summon. Since it's a *special* summon though, summons like Archfiend Zombie Skull, which need Plaguespreader, can be summoned through Spectralsword's effect.
I can guarantee that Reborn Zombie and Return Zombie aren't anime cards. They appeared in one or two episodes, but they never used their effects. The funniest thing about Return Zombie is that it was a Secret Rare in the TCG initially.
@@brianaguilar8283 Checking a little further, Return Zombie came out in early 2004. I'm not 100% on my banlist updates, but that was definitely not far away from Chaos Format. So yeah, maybe he was intended as a Yata-blocker.
I was expecting Fushion Richie (Nosferatu Lich) to have a higher spot on the list just because of the sheer amount of work necessary to summon that thing.
You can summon it with a Wild Monster Appears and use its effect to flip it face down to not return to the deck so it is still playable to a teeny tiny extent. Yeah it still sucks though.
1:19 also Necroworld Banshee can banish to search from the field as well as the graveyard, and gives targeting and destruction protection to Zombie world while its on the field. So it isn’t even a dead draw if you can’t get it to the graveyard or already have Zombie world active.
4:30 my best friend growing up, and still a very good friend of mine, is names Sivard. And he once pulled this and fushioh Richie within 3 packs of each other. (This was when they had just come out.) So you can guess what we called him, for a couple months at least. Haha. (That's why these cards are two of my favorites. Not too, but def close up there.)
I love how much lore there is in zombie cards like Tristan and Isolde which are based off a tragedy play and dead I guess Zombina Zombino and lots of cards appearing as zombies like zombie dragon which looks like dead thousand dragon

How to semi fix Spirit of the Pharaoh: -Continious Spell card that is treated as "The First Sarcophagus" -On Activation, Special Summon 1 "Spirit of the Pharaoh" from Hand, Deck, or Gy (Or just Deck or GY) if you have 4+ monsters in Grave. -as long as this spell is face up, all monsters in youe GY are treated as Normal monsters and have their levels reduced by 3. This I would say is the minimum amount of effects needed to at least kind of save that card.
Or you could have all monsters in the GY count as level 2 Normal Monsters. Anyway, "saving" the card would kinda defeat the purpose of this card, which is to be purposefully bad.
It makes me sad to see Berserk Dragon at the beginning of this list 2:15 Earth attribute Doomkaiser? 11:09 Mezuki is earth attribute... where are you getting your pics lol 13:05 Well if you have no cards in your hand this card and Flame Tiger make a consistent Rank 4 engine :P A pretty bad card is Supersonic Skull Flame while it's fairly easy to bring out it has weak stats and 2 bad effects. Its 2nd effect is also contradicted by it's summoning effect 😅

@@agr0nianTV Burning Skull Head, Skull Flame, and Supersonic Skull Flame definitely have a vibe to me of being one card away from a decent burn deck. They have some quirky mechanics and a fair bit of oddball synergy, they just don't have an easy way to get the wheels greased. Then again, none of them are HOPT, so it'd probably get broken in half. Also, Supersonic Skull Flame has a ☆ in its Japanese name and that should count for something.

As a Duel Links player, I gotta point out that they now errata cards specifically for Duel Links, often cutting burn damage in half to prevent cards like Poison Mummy from being any better. So even there, it would be doing 250 points of damage.
Return zombie and reborn zombie could actually be used n a Infinity duck since that Jack is focus around not having any cards in your hand to activate effects

1:05 zombie world helps vs opponent's turn? Necroworld banshee seems a bit costly needing to be on field or in graveyard. But if you're returning zombies back I guess she could be used. Id just rather use my foolish burial on mezuki, or simply have getsu fuhma/marionette mite or other zombie world type benefits like doomking. Do appreciate you mentioning good stuff in both vids as it improved my zombie deck.
Pain painter is not worth this list, it had been created explicitly for summoning the archfiend skull synchro monster, because its effect was not bad at all, but back in the days it was too hard to find two good level 2 zombie type monster to use for synchro summon (or 1 and 3 ) without zombie world and a non zombie engine (which drastically decreases the sinergy of the deck). There are certanly many bad zombie monsters which could take its spot on the list.
Bro the pharoah Card is soo cool, they should make it that summoning him and his servants is basically an auto-win. Maybe if his servants had protecting effects and the pharaoh gained like 500 atk for each servant on the field. That way, you play the entire game just putting his servants in defense position while also protecting the sarcophagus. Once the turns pass, the pharoah is summoned, his servants swarm the field and he becomes near undestroyable
Fushioh Richie was a pretty good boss monster in the early days of Yugioh. Back then, boss monsters were all about big numbers and maybe big burn damage, but Richie actually has some protection. I hope Dezard gets a retrain or maybe some support cards that will help bring it out easier.
Both return and reborn zombie were used by Chazz Princeton and both were pretty much used as completely expendable monsters appearing in one episode where they didn't even use their effects.
Spirit of the pharoh was so good in the gba games cuz spell removal wss hard to come by, it was rare in the packs, and it was a high level monster you can special summon. So good
I had quite a bit of success with pain painter. Because he's a zombie type tuner monster. Plaguespreader is the only other one. Zombies have many revival cards but with only 1 plaguespreader you couldn't really take advantage of that.
Even back when Fushio was new it was ass. The fact that you had to take out 2 monsters with Great Dezard was bad, but it's even worse when you realize that if you used an equip spell like Mage Power or Axe of Despair to try to patch is horrendous ATK stat, after the first attack it would destroy it because it says that it negates the activation AND *EFFECT* of cards that target it. So even thought the card would already have been equipped, it would still be destroyed after the first attack, making summoning Fusio nigh impossible. There _is_ *ONE* interesting way to cheat it out though. Because it can flip itself face-down, you can summon it off of the effect of "A Wild Monster Appears" and use Fushio's effect to dodge the lingering effect that would normally return it to the deck without needing to use G.B. Hunter like Zushin the Sleeping Giant does. However, the card is still ass and can't be summoned back from the GY if you cheat it out like that. I would *LOVE* a retain of this card with it's translated name that's actually *GOOD.* Maybe make an archetype of Lich + Spellcasters or something. I don't know, I just always liked this card and Zombies in general, and hate seeing how hopelessly bad this card is.
Use Advanced Ritual Art to summon Dokurorider sending 3 lvl 2 normal zombie type monsters to the grave and later summon them by Spirit of the Pharaoh. Don't forget to equip Violet Crystal. Bam! Tier 0
Pain painter could be a good tech if somebody wants the option to bring out rank 2 xyz monsters, in a none rank 2 deck. I takes up the normal summon though so that’s not great. I am not even sure what rank 2 xyz would be so important to bring out
Vampire Genesis is even worse than you mention, since Vampire Lord at least has a "when destroyed by card effect, rez on next turn" effect that Genesis doesn't have. Won a game in World Championship 2008 because of that. :P
I feel Immortal Ruler should probably be a little higher on the list, if only because Konami had made a cycle of field spell searching monsters that were meh-good(At the time at least) before Immortal Ruler came out. Like, they were IN THE KNOW, HOW COULD MESS UP SUCH AN EASY CARD DESIGN. AND MAKE IT SECRETE RARE ON TOP OF IT WHEN IT WAS FIRST RELEASE.
I think Immortal Ruler is supposed to be what's left of Revived King Ha Des after his battle with the King of the Underworld and that's why it cannot be special summoned. It's more of a lore card
now it's easier to cheat out with ready fusion for synchro or link plays... not the best target, but good enough for being a lvl 6 zombie that looks cooler than a skeleton mammoth.

Honestly I think Fushioh Richie could make a good new archetype, somewhat like how Thunder Dragon got support in SOFU. Although I can’t think of what it would do outside of tributing wizards which are Zombies, maybe make them Rituals?
Immortal Ruler is your backupfor if zombie world is destroyed and your only running 1 or it and 1 necroworld banshee. He is important for the style of deck hes played in.
personally I'd put Vampire Genysis lower on the list since he can still be a decent beatstick and his discard effect can put some high level zombies in teh graveyard for other effects to bring out. Not much lower on the list mind you due to the requirements to bring him out. But still maybe a spot or two down
It's a pity that the Spirit of the Paraoh is so bad considering that it is one of the best looking monster and one of the few Light Element Zombies. It would have been a great card if it had a better effect that reflected it's royal status, like increasing it's attack for each zombie monster on your graveyard or being able to special summon once per turn a zombie monster from your graveyard of lower level.
A few things: 1. It was kinda painful to see Poison Mummy on this list mostly because he was in my very first deck back when the original show was still on, but I have to agree there are better cards to burn your opponent with. 2. I think you were a little too harsh on Vampire Genesis. He's really not that hard to bring out. I have a Vampire deck that has a copy of him in it, and he does.....okay. Not great, but he does fine. Maybe bump him down to the 8 or 9 slot on this list. 3. As far as swarming the field with useless zombie monsters goes even Scapeghost make Spirit of the Pharaoh look like a joke. It doesn't have 2500 atk, but hey it defends your life points pretty well.

I was hoping that berserker dragon would be on the list. It's a level 8 dark zombie with 3500 attack and a desent effect but a terrible summon condition, you need a level 8 or higher monster to die on your field to use a card called deal with the dark lord (or something like that) then pay half your life points to special summon him. A lot of work and needing a beat stick to die to summon another beat stick
I remember even Jaden Yuki made fun of the Pharaoh card saying "All that work only for 2500 atk?"

I can sort of see Spirit Of The Pharaoh having some play for the sole purpose of summoning Obelisk and using his effect.
Problem: There are so many cards(especially low level beast cards) that can speit out much more tributes in one turn without much setup.
you can special summon Fushioh Richie with "A wild monster appear" spell card, normally you wold need to send the special summoned monster back to you deck at the end of the turn, BUT, because Fushioh Richie can flip itself face down, he can avoid returning to your deck.
I wish they would make something like a “Vampire Genesis Reborn”. Just as an example. They could rework his effect to make him meta like doomking balerdroc is. Maybe allow you to banish zombies to summon him like a chaos zombie boss monster and then allow you to summon from hand or grave like a red eyes darkness metal for zombies.
Videos specific in this way can be helpful in learning archetypes in a game with so many cards
That Skelgon was useful in Forbidden Memories (PS1) since it was considered a dragon. You could use it for Twin Headed Thunder Dragon fusion.

Richie gave me an idea for another list: 10 most flavorful Yugioh cards. It may suck, but the flavor behind it is cool.
Another reason Vampire Genesis is so bad is that, at the time it came out, Vampire Lord was one of the best level 5-6 monsters in the game. Weaker attack than Jinzo or Summoned Skull, but a revival effect that was ABSURDLY strong for when it came out, and an incredibly good effect when it dealt battle damage, back when the graveyard wasn't really a resource. So you were trading a really, REALLY good Zombie monster for... something other cards did better. In fact, there was a better Zombie revival card, Book of Life, released IN THE SAME STRUCTURE DECK.
I just think about a very good top 10 idea. How about you make top 10 monster that power creep other older monster with the similar effect in every possible way? The first example is Necroworld Banshee and Immortal Ruler lol

The other thing Great Mammoth of Goldfine has over Skelgon, is the fact that the former's materials are both zombie types, wich is more consistent in a zombie themed deck (except if you play Zombie World so that Blackland Fire Dragon becomes a Normal Level 4 Zombie, which is better than a Level 3 Zombie Dragon I guess...)

The RESULT of the effect of Spirit of the Pharao is actually really good in modern Yugioh.
The card "Superancient Deepsea King Coelecanth" allows you to summon 4 normal level 4 or lower fish monsters from your deck, which can then be used for Link/Xyz summons.
Of course, the effect gets the cards *from your deck* instead of the graveyard, and the card is just a regular 2-sacrifice monster.
4 Level 4 monsters are already not bad, but with modern extra deck monsters, that's a pretty insane effect.
Still though, even if it got 4 zombies from your deck, I doubt anyone would play it even in rogue decks with that insane summoning requirement. The least thing they could have done is have the sarcophagi have half-decent effects and all be spell cards so you can play then from your hand and they're not dead cards.
I love the idea behind Spirit of the Pharao, but the execution is so terrible I don't even want to play it, and I'm biased in favor of it.

To add onto Pain Painter's downsides, Shiranui Spectralsword exists. Its effect is to banish itself and a monster from the grave to special summon a synchro monster of the same level as the two banished monsters added together as long as it's a zombie, basically a graveyard synchro summon. Since it's a *special* summon though, summons like Archfiend Zombie Skull, which need Plaguespreader, can be summoned through Spectralsword's effect.
I can guarantee that Reborn Zombie and Return Zombie aren't anime cards. They appeared in one or two episodes, but they never used their effects.
The funniest thing about Return Zombie is that it was a Secret Rare in the TCG initially.

I was expecting Fushion Richie (Nosferatu Lich) to have a higher spot on the list just because of the sheer amount of work necessary to summon that thing.
You can summon it with a Wild Monster Appears and use its effect to flip it face down to not return to the deck so it is still playable to a teeny tiny extent. Yeah it still sucks though.

1:19 also Necroworld Banshee can banish to search from the field as well as the graveyard, and gives targeting and destruction protection to Zombie world while its on the field. So it isn’t even a dead draw if you can’t get it to the graveyard or already have Zombie world active.
4:30 my best friend growing up, and still a very good friend of mine, is names Sivard. And he once pulled this and fushioh Richie within 3 packs of each other. (This was when they had just come out.) So you can guess what we called him, for a couple months at least. Haha. (That's why these cards are two of my favorites. Not too, but def close up there.)

How to semi fix Spirit of the Pharaoh:
-Continious Spell card that is treated as "The First Sarcophagus"
-On Activation, Special Summon 1 "Spirit of the Pharaoh" from Hand, Deck, or Gy (Or just Deck or GY) if you have 4+ monsters in Grave.
-as long as this spell is face up, all monsters in youe GY are treated as Normal monsters and have their levels reduced by 3.
This I would say is the minimum amount of effects needed to at least kind of save that card.
Or you could have all monsters in the GY count as level 2 Normal Monsters. Anyway, "saving" the card would kinda defeat the purpose of this card, which is to be purposefully bad.

A pretty bad card is Supersonic Skull Flame while it's fairly easy to bring out it has weak stats and 2 bad effects. Its 2nd effect is also contradicted by it's summoning effect 😅

@@agr0nianTV Burning Skull Head, Skull Flame, and Supersonic Skull Flame definitely have a vibe to me of being one card away from a decent burn deck. They have some quirky mechanics and a fair bit of oddball synergy, they just don't have an easy way to get the wheels greased. Then again, none of them are HOPT, so it'd probably get broken in half.
Also, Supersonic Skull Flame has a ☆ in its Japanese name and that should count for something.

actually, if pain painter came out a few years earlier, he would have been legit good, since it was almost too difficult to bring out zombie archfiend with regular plaguspreader, back at a time when protecting all your monsters from effect destruction was a really good protection. of course by the time pain painter came out, zombie archfiend was already outdated

Reborn Zombie was only used as Tribute Fodder for Chthonian Polymer in the like 2nd episode of GX.
As a Duel Links player, I gotta point out that they now errata cards specifically for Duel Links, often cutting burn damage in half to prevent cards like Poison Mummy from being any better. So even there, it would be doing 250 points of damage.
I remember Reborn Zombie was one of my favorite zombie monsters design wise.
Return zombie and reborn zombie could actually be used n a Infinity duck since that Jack is focus around not having any cards in your hand to activate effects

1:05 zombie world helps vs opponent's turn? Necroworld banshee seems a bit costly needing to be on field or in graveyard. But if you're returning zombies back I guess she could be used. Id just rather use my foolish burial on mezuki, or simply have getsu fuhma/marionette mite or other zombie world type benefits like doomking. Do appreciate you mentioning good stuff in both vids as it improved my zombie deck.
I actually had the old zombie structure deck back in the day. Vampire Lord used to be pretty aces ngl.
Pain painter is not worth this list, it had been created explicitly for summoning the archfiend skull synchro monster, because its effect was not bad at all, but back in the days it was too hard to find two good level 2 zombie type monster to use for synchro summon (or 1 and 3 ) without zombie world and a non zombie engine (which drastically decreases the sinergy of the deck).
There are certanly many bad zombie monsters which could take its spot on the list.

Bro the pharoah Card is soo cool, they should make it that summoning him and his servants is basically an auto-win.
Maybe if his servants had protecting effects and the pharaoh gained like 500 atk for each servant on the field.
That way, you play the entire game just putting his servants in defense position while also protecting the sarcophagus. Once the turns pass, the pharoah is summoned, his servants swarm the field and he becomes near undestroyable
Fushioh Richie was a pretty good boss monster in the early days of Yugioh. Back then, boss monsters were all about big numbers and maybe big burn damage, but Richie actually has some protection. I hope Dezard gets a retrain or maybe some support cards that will help bring it out easier.

Honestly it felt like it was better to use pain painter than plaquespreader in a pure zombie synchro deck early on, given what Archfiend can do.
Both return and reborn zombie were used by Chazz Princeton and both were pretty much used as completely expendable monsters appearing in one episode where they didn't even use their effects.
Spirit of the pharoh was so good in the gba games cuz spell removal wss hard to come by, it was rare in the packs, and it was a high level monster you can special summon. So good
Zombie deck where after a few turns in the deck and the graveyard are your hand, they thought about it and decided that would be broken
I could see someone using the Pharoh card to bring out 5 monsters and then summon Obilisk and activate his special ability.
Another good topic to cover would be which top 10 cards have the worst effect ever in Yugioh.
I had quite a bit of success with pain painter. Because he's a zombie type tuner monster. Plaguespreader is the only other one. Zombies have many revival cards but with only 1 plaguespreader you couldn't really take advantage of that.
Even back when Fushio was new it was ass. The fact that you had to take out 2 monsters with Great Dezard was bad, but it's even worse when you realize that if you used an equip spell like Mage Power or Axe of Despair to try to patch is horrendous ATK stat, after the first attack it would destroy it because it says that it negates the activation AND *EFFECT* of cards that target it. So even thought the card would already have been equipped, it would still be destroyed after the first attack, making summoning Fusio nigh impossible.
There _is_ *ONE* interesting way to cheat it out though. Because it can flip itself face-down, you can summon it off of the effect of "A Wild Monster Appears" and use Fushio's effect to dodge the lingering effect that would normally return it to the deck without needing to use G.B. Hunter like Zushin the Sleeping Giant does. However, the card is still ass and can't be summoned back from the GY if you cheat it out like that. I would *LOVE* a retain of this card with it's translated name that's actually *GOOD.* Maybe make an archetype of Lich + Spellcasters or something. I don't know, I just always liked this card and Zombies in general, and hate seeing how hopelessly bad this card is.

Use Advanced Ritual Art to summon Dokurorider sending 3 lvl 2 normal zombie type monsters to the grave and later summon them by Spirit of the Pharaoh. Don't forget to equip Violet Crystal. Bam! Tier 0

Pain painter could be a good tech if somebody wants the option to bring out rank 2 xyz monsters, in a none rank 2 deck. I takes up the normal summon though so that’s not great. I am not even sure what rank 2 xyz would be so important to bring out
Vampire Genesis is even worse than you mention, since Vampire Lord at least has a "when destroyed by card effect, rez on next turn" effect that Genesis doesn't have. Won a game in World Championship 2008 because of that. :P
I feel Immortal Ruler should probably be a little higher on the list, if only because Konami had made a cycle of field spell searching monsters that were meh-good(At the time at least) before Immortal Ruler came out. Like, they were IN THE KNOW, HOW COULD MESS UP SUCH AN EASY CARD DESIGN. AND MAKE IT SECRETE RARE ON TOP OF IT WHEN IT WAS FIRST RELEASE.
Maybe "Top 10 worst ritual monsters" or "Top 10 worst ritual support cards" would be interesting to see
I think Immortal Ruler is supposed to be what's left of Revived King Ha Des after his battle with the King of the Underworld and that's why it cannot be special summoned. It's more of a lore card

now it's easier to cheat out with ready fusion for synchro or link plays... not the best target, but good enough for being a lvl 6 zombie that looks cooler than a skeleton mammoth.

Immortal Ruler is your backupfor if zombie world is destroyed and your only running 1 or it and 1 necroworld banshee. He is important for the style of deck hes played in.
A best Skull Servent support cards list would be awesome
personally I'd put Vampire Genysis lower on the list since he can still be a decent beatstick and his discard effect can put some high level zombies in teh graveyard for other effects to bring out. Not much lower on the list mind you due to the requirements to bring him out. But still maybe a spot or two down
It's a pity that the Spirit of the Paraoh is so bad considering that it is one of the best looking monster and one of the few Light Element Zombies. It would have been a great card if it had a better effect that reflected it's royal status, like increasing it's attack for each zombie monster on your graveyard or being able to special summon once per turn a zombie monster from your graveyard of lower level.
I remember buying that zombie structure deck with vampire genesis and never got why you would summon it if you can already make vampire lord stick
A few things:
1. It was kinda painful to see Poison Mummy on this list mostly because he was in my very first deck back when the original show was still on, but I have to agree there are better cards to burn your opponent with.
2. I think you were a little too harsh on Vampire Genesis. He's really not that hard to bring out. I have a Vampire deck that has a copy of him in it, and he does.....okay. Not great, but he does fine. Maybe bump him down to the 8 or 9 slot on this list.
3. As far as swarming the field with useless zombie monsters goes even Scapeghost make Spirit of the Pharaoh look like a joke. It doesn't have 2500 atk, but hey it defends your life points pretty well.

I was hoping that berserker dragon would be on the list. It's a level 8 dark zombie with 3500 attack and a desent effect but a terrible summon condition, you need a level 8 or higher monster to die on your field to use a card called deal with the dark lord (or something like that) then pay half your life points to special summon him. A lot of work and needing a beat stick to die to summon another beat stick
