    Awesome video! I just bought this car and I'm loving it.
    I was wondering if it's safe to put things next to the battery in the trunk under the tray?

      Hello, I also want to buy the mild hibrid. How does this mild hybrid help you?

    • @webgolem
      @webgolem 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@florindragos5238 In Eco mode you have this "sailing" feature, and early engine stop when slowing down to reach a full stop (some times too early, imho). In Normal mode the electric engine gives some power when moving in first gear from a full stop. In Sport mode the electric engine gives additional power each time you demand more acceleration, plus it revs the normal engine to match the optimal rpm while switching gear

    Have a Suzuki with the boosterjet hybrid, first thing I do is turn off the stop start, cant stand the fact it shuts of the aircon or the heating when the engine shuts down, if it’s really warm out the car heats up quick is your stopped for a while.

    i do like the rio but i opted for the ceed just for the extra power from the 1.5 turbo and bigger boot. still like the rio but the ceed just that little bigger where it counts. always gerat videos

    Marek have you tried the "new" Rio with the 1.2 84HP naturally aspirated engine? If you have, what do you think about the refinement, consumption and whether its sufficient for some highway driving?

    • @Marko_Horvat
      @Marko_Horvat 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Since Marek can't be bothered to answer i will answer you. I have 2021 Rio 84hp and i must say that if you have any aspirations for sporty driving look for something else. Engine is only suitable for calm and easy driving. It's not suitable for highway because it has only 5 gears. Consumption is approximately 5L if you drive very carefully, if not then it goes to 7L/100km.

    About the colour the real question would be if when she shines she really shows you all she can?
    And about roadholding if she dances on the sand just like that river twisting through a dusty land?

    Back in 2004, the Kia Rio was the same size as a Golf but was cheaper.

    That coasting/sailing feature is still a mystery to me...
    I'm trying to imagine what's going on with the thrust bearing and the gearbox when the car is coasting and every time I cringe a little.
    I'm not sure that they are going to last very long if that system is engaged often (like in a city environment).
    Besides, I wouldn't feel comfortable in traffic with a stopped engine.
    Other than that, a nice looking car!

    • @alliejr
      @alliejr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I don't think it's mechanically different than engaging the clutch while the car is moving, and then releasing the clutch to return to thrust mode.

    • @shinybaldy
      @shinybaldy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Huh? It’s a clutch.

    • @christianronn5301
      @christianronn5301 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Stefan S. I'm sure they thought of that when they designed the bearing. A dual clutch transmission has pressure on one of the two throwout bearings all the time as well.

    • @christianronn5301
      @christianronn5301 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What's a mystery to me is why they're selling cars with manual transmissions still.
      Sailing is nothing new, my DSG 4Motion Passat does it as well but it doesn't stop the engine because it isn't a mild hybrid so it needs to keep the systems powered while the car is moving. I had an Audi A3 mild hybrid with a DSG as a loaner during my last service and it stopped the engine while coasting. Absolutely no problem. The engine cuts in again when you need it. You don't need to think about any of it.

    • @somat111
      @somat111 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would've thought a better sailing implementation would be to turn the injectors off and open the throttle butterfly all the way to make the engine a wheel powered air pump. Wouldn't have to worry about an electronic clutch actuator and a heavy duty release bearing. 🤷

    At least the previous model had really, REALLY bad sound proofing. It's a shame, because it was quite OK car in many other respects, but the constant roar of the tyres was just totally unbearable.
