Of all the Kia Rio 2021 GT line videos out there, this one is by far very detailed and well explained!. Just got my 120hp version last friday and enjoying the car very much!. Thanks!.

Thank you very much 🤗. Although I did lose some words in this review (lol) the important is that I can show buyers how the hybrid system works too.

@@funcarreviews , I have been driving my RIO MHEV 120hp manual transmission GT line for over a month now. The average consumption in ECO mode is 5.1litres per 100 kilometres after 2100 kilometres. That's driving efficiently without aggresive accelerations or braking. Actually I have found that city consumption in this version is around 4,8 litres, less that motorway consumption.

@@dingdong7440 great, thanks for the info. Glad to have your feedback on that. Also usually cars can consume more oil and fuel during the first couple of thousand KM. Those are good numbers 😄

@@funcarreviews very good numbers!. The real surprise with my Rio MHEV is such a low consumption in city driving!

1st video to explain the MHEV, very good.

Thank you very much :). I try my best to explain the technology to my viewers.
This MHEV explanation is relevant to this car as other cars or manufacturers can implement in different ways 🤗

@@funcarreviews it's strange that there is no difference into fuel consumption between the 1.0 engine with 100hp and MHEL with 120hp into the official documentation in Bulgaria. is it the same for your location?

    • @funcarreviews
      @funcarreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@stilianstoilov3728 here I can see 5.6 L/100 KM for the normal 100 HP and 5.5 L/ 100 KM for the 120 HP.
In theory you could have a little more difference between the two. But it would be closely tied to your driving style and road types.

I’m actually looking to buy either a Peugeot 208, an Opel Corsa or this one… Your video is really nice and confused me even more lol cause I’m impressed with this car now… damn it.

      Hello,
Thank you very much. You'll also find a e-208 video on my channel too to have some comparison.
Although the 208 is a nice car, i think the Rio is a bit more comfortable, especially concerning outside noise isolation (quite better actually). The Rio is a very nice car too and i really enjoyed it. The 208 is less practical in terms of screen / dashboard / your head level. It s a bit tricky because of the steering wheel position.
You might have more leg space in general too in the Rio.
Although i like the e-208 in terms of design, electronic systems, options, innovation, if i want a "simpler" and reliable car and comfortable, i might go with the Rio.
But that is also personal. :)
You'll have to test them both aha.

Excellent video and explanation. Unfortunately, up here in Canada the GT hybrid version isn't offered for some reason but I still have the 6-speed manual 120hp version expected to arrive before the end of January. Looking forward to driving and enjoying it. Do you mind me asking what camera you're using for your video as the quality is quite good. Thank you. :)

      Hello and thank you :)
Unfortunately i would not be able to give you "real life" numbers as those are not long term reviews and i do stress the cars a lot to understand how they works, giving then high numbers.

My Rio GT Line 120HP 3 cylinder 1 litre manual transmission is at an average of 5.1litres per 100kilometres after 1 month and 2100 kilometres of use. This is driving efficiently in ECO mode. The surprise is it uses less petrol in city driving than in motorway. Around 4.8 vs 5.3 or so.

I´ve got the 1.0 TGDi 7 DCT, but I notice a bit of noise when you turn the steering wheel at low speed, is it normal?
    Many thanks!

I did not notice a noise in that situation.
But without having the noise in my hand, it is hard to say.

Hyundai i20 2021, has also a 1.0 T-GDI MHEV. Are they the same?

      Hello,
Yes they should be the same. I believe the MHEV behavior too.
