Bro thank you so much, honestly... My XS Max went into a bootloop after copying my data to my Pixel 3 and I've been freaking out. I was even debating taking to the apple store since it's still under warranty, but you definitely saved me from that trip. Much appreciated!! (Btw for those trying to do DFU, make sure its 5 seconds exactly or it WILL NOT WORK)

For me it does not work. I really follow all the steps exactly. No matter how many times I repeat the process DFU NEVER works, it will always show apple logo and reboot as usual. I repeat, I am following exactly the steps same as in the video. Not sure what is wrong.

How do you reset the RAM? On the home button phones I would hold the sleep/wake button until the power off slider appears, the press and hold the home button until the app restarts.
I’ve tried the same thing on my Xs MAX using the assistive touch home button, but it doesn’t work. Any ideas?

Before doing this, I’d suggest (if you can) to physically back up the phone with iTunes to the computer and also to iCloud.
Interesting how they changed that button combination thing.
I have an iPhone 7+ so this is very useful for me since I’ll be upgrading to either iPhone Xs or iPhone Xs Max eventually.

Works to a point. Happened on new phone iPhone 11 ProMax when upgraded during initial activation. During activation went to Upgrade and got caught in reboot loop. Now it goes through the whole sequence then activates the rec for upgrade and when you do it ingest caught in the reboot loop and gets to essentially done and freezes there! Any thoughts?

Also volume up followed by volume down then hold power to power off will work and imo that's a better way bc u don't have to enter password if u change mind about powering off.

So I have tried to follow these steps. When I use the charger it does show the computer and restore on screen, but as soon as I remove it to connect to the computer it shows a completely black screen. What could be wrong? Basically doesn't respond to screen
lately I ahve been having tropuble getting iPhones in dfu mode, im on a MacBook air latest software and trying to put a Disabled iPhone XS into dfu mode and after i release the side button the app logo appears and my timing is on. Also i am able to put it dfu mode when it is not connected to a computer and the moment i plug it in it exits dfu mode. any suggestions?
