As such, the physical buttons have inherited the same range of functions, including powering on and off, forcing a restart, entering DFU mode, entering recovery mode, activating Emergency SOS, and temporarily disabling Face ID.

Force rebooted my iPhone 11 pro max about 15 times and thought I was screwed, but this video saved me a trip to apple/t-mobile during the shutdown. Thanks so much for the video!! my phone is completely froze and i tried the force restart method and it won’t work at all i held the volume up and released and held volume down and released and held the off button and the apple logo or slide thing won’t show up and i cant press anything on the screen because my phone is frozen

SUPER HELPUL!!! Just right now, my dad’s iPhone accidentally activated “SOS Emergency Mode” and his phone was locked; but I easily was able to force a shut down and restore his phone without even having to pull out my computer and go into recovery mode...

My phone froze and would not let me do anything. Holding the Power and the volume down button made it vibrate but would not show the power down slider. The forced restart fixed it

help me please. my iphone 11 just doesnt shut down instantly when i slide that button. it only gets shut down completely after 30seconds or so , sometimes it gets turned off after a few seconds but most of the times it takes 30seconds or even more
