Mrs Merton was actually the roastmaster general! But Cynthia Payne was the only one who held her own! RIP both

I remember there was a show in Manchester called Juice. It ran around 1993/4. Me and my friends were always on the show either modelling or showing off.. one show Mrs Merton was on the show and then afterwards we all ended up in a club called paradise factory and she was so funny and super sweet ..RIP x

Oh she was utterly brilliant. I so bitterly wanted her to bring this back but it wasn't to be.

Lovely as Caorline Aherna was, Cynthia Payne was more entertaining. Bless both of them.

My brother was in a Rockabilly band from Manchester that got the job as The Savages (Screaming Lord Sutch’s backing band) Anyways they did a gig in Doncaster and there was a lady that arrived with Dave Sutch and sat on our small table all night,it was like a working men’s club gig...I realised who she was after about half an hour, but she wouldn’t ‘fess up’ ...but at the end of the gig,she said yeah,‘I’m Cynthia Payne’ we all had a dance with her,and she signed us some of SLS’s small gig posters with ‘have fun,if you can in this country’ LV Madame Sin...happy days...

She showed up with Sutch at the Bramley Tavern, a pub near Latimer Road in West London when both were contesting a by-election. I think they were actually mates.

Can anyone sheaf any light on the small matter of the police arresting and jailing her ? What was the sense in that? Those concerned about the countries moral standards should take a look at the forced assaults committed at workplace initiation or by so called strippers. This sick acts are seen as part of British culture while women like Cynthia Payne who only offer services to the willing are seen as criminall.
    Thanks Ma

Nothing. Her parties basically catered for older and often lonely men.

But Cynthia Payne had the last laugh, ever wonder why she was treated softly at her trial? Her alleged blackbook with names of her clients? That is why she got a lenient sentence. Imagine the embarrassment of the content of her "client" book. Politicians, judges, Police officials, celebrities etc. If it all came out lot of careers then would have been screwed and families destroyed.
