Barbara played along beautifully to make a superb double act with Caroline. I saw the episode with Ned Sheridan, who was totally lost and hadn’t a clue how to react to "Mrs Merton.’ It was almost painful to watch how easy it was for her to make mincemeat of him, but it was also very funny, especially as Ned could be very arrogant and supercilious to those of his quiz contestants he considered not as well educated as he.
