  • Getting the TGVs set up to go back into the car, I can't yet install them as I need to remove the Turbo and Secondary air pumps but wanted to go over the assembly steps to get the TGVs ready to be put into the car. Net step is removing the turbo as well as the exhaust!

    I've heard a few tuners recommend not using phenolic spacers due to spacing the fuel injectors further away for worse efficiency despite having less heat soak. Not saying not to use one, but figured I'd share as it's an interesting topic to research. Looking clean so far, I've always wanted after market fuel rails :^)

    • @Smeedia
      @Smeedia  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats one of the reasons why I grabbed the smallest set they make. Only have the 3mm set so it shouldn't be a huge issue, and the rails look so much better than OEM 😍

    Will this throw a check engine light on 2018 STI? You already helped me a few times ty so much. Here’s what I’m thinking for my build, and I’m wondering if I’m gonna have any issues with check engine light or codes that will keep me from passing inspection in NYS. Here’s what I’m shooting for and here’s what I’m looking at parts wise. Wanna do a flex fuel build w/ around 400whp. Already have maperformance intake and downpipe, thinking about going Fp blue, cobb flex fuel sensors, AEM 340, grimmspeed tmic, grimmspeed ebcs, wideband sensors, invidia up-pipe w/ egt for no cel, iag performance ptfe flex fuel system kit w/id 1300 w/ lines and rails- here is my question that fuel system kit comes with aeromotive fuel pressure regulator and says I need to add “aftermarket tgv housings” and im not having a lot of luck finding those or info on them, does that mean I can run it with iag tgv deletes? And will this fuk my life up with cel’s and not passing inspection? Any input or better ideas for fuel system that won’t mess with cel and inspection issues? Ik u don’t live in NY but I’m thinking tgv deletes is probably a no bueno now 🤔 any input will be greatly appreciated
