Didn't realize Jack Black finally shaved and is into cars as well. On a serious note, I thought I was ready for an RRC ownership after having owned one land rover. I wasn't.
Good story but the Vitesse was certainly not the most desirable P38. Everyone liked the later production 2002 models with the newer 4.6, especially the borrego edition, Callaway, Holland & Holland, or Overfinch.
I never understood why land rovers were so popular in Africa, if their reliability is so terrible. I remember my dad had one for about 5 minutes in the 90's, he got it, it spent most of its time in the shop, and then he immediately got rid of it. If there so bad, why do I always see them in every documentary ever made in africa.

Could something similar solve his problem?
"Clearfield, just outside of Pittsburgh"... Yeah... It's only a 3 hour drive if you take the fast route. Did you hit up Denny's Beer Barrel and Pub? Try out one of their stupidly large burgers? If you ever go there, try the normal burgers and hope someone else will try the challenge burger... Their normal ones are fantastic.
Would you all be interested in a story about how a fire fighters 2 near death encounters in 8 years of being in fire service was just on the truck getting to and from a call?
Clearfield PA hahaha. I find it fascinating that a 1 of 250 range rover was, of all places in Clearfield FUCKING Pennsylvania.
I have a neighbor with a p38 and man if you look at weird something will break.
After my 3 l322s adventure i can confidently say the the repairs will never end
He should of just put a chevy ls engine in it.
I did the math my Range Rover Classic the other day and figured it has sucked a collective amount of $400,000 out of the pockets of all of its owners. $150,000 of that was just in fuel.
Lol you can tell he’s a city guy when he says early 2000s range is reliable hahaha
Getting a strange urge to watch Layer Cake
Ok, so 1k a month for 25 years is 300k. Plus 100k depreciation 400k. Just why?
Because it is yellow
Exactly
Because of status and marketing fucked brains 😂
On VinWiki today, Jack Blacks son.
I have one with a 3.0d M57 and its great!
My neighbor on the south shore had one. Wonder if this is the one?
Layer Cake movie had this car on the dvd cover ❤
The layer cake Range Rover. I loved my old p38 sadly new front bearings and a. Transfer case beat me. The key to the becsm. Is to disconnect the aerial on the rear window.
Just get the chip in the existing key cloned… worked fine in my 96 honda
I listen to this interview and can’t help but think, “I should buy one of these.” I bet I’m not the only one.
I bet someone with a flipper zero could clone his key. There is no way it has rolling codes. Also there are plenty of people in the US who do board level repairs. Most of the components in such old tech will be universal.
really not that bad by range rover standards
Didn't realize Jack Black finally shaved and is into cars as well. On a serious note, I thought I was ready for an RRC ownership after having owned one land rover. I wasn't.
Nice sponsor plug at the end, sounds like you're talking through a pillow Ed....
Should have kept the GT3
Good story but the Vitesse was certainly not the most desirable P38. Everyone liked the later production 2002 models with the newer 4.6, especially the borrego edition, Callaway, Holland & Holland, or Overfinch.
I never understood why land rovers were so popular in Africa, if their reliability is so terrible. I remember my dad had one for about 5 minutes in the 90's, he got it, it spent most of its time in the shop, and then he immediately got rid of it. If there so bad, why do I always see them in every documentary ever made in africa.
"She still felt I should have a ... more reliable car to drive around the suburbs in."
You have a Porsche 911, which is already very reliable. More reliable? The only real pragmatic answer would've been any Lexus with a 2GR.
goodness gracious. thats like personal light aircraft level of operational cost x)
Anyone watching this channel would build an engine in a hotel room. We all drive some sort of garbage that needs a new drivetrain, or we all spend way too much money on that garbage!
