Sooo good. Gets me excited to step back into the Sony Eco-system. Question, it seems like the FX3 is sold out everywhere. How long did it take to receive yours? I know that even some A7Siii's are on back-order.
Definitely, Sony have really changed the game! And I’m quite lucky I ordered mine and it came within 3 days. But i haven’t been able to find many other places with it in stock. I did hear that a lot of electrical items are back ordered due to the global shortage of silicone needed for the chips. Most of the needed silicone is being used to transport vaccines which is taking priority over the products

Ahh on the FX6 I'd advise loading in your own personal LUTs that you use and putting them on while you shoot. That should help quite a bit with exposing SLOG3.
@@JusttJC so is actually my workflow, but I am not 100 % content with it
@@schoeferfilm I think the best things to do then would be to either use an external monitor and the tools there as well as test out different shots similarly to how I did here, but with your different exposure metres. For example, test your exposure with your zebras on different settings for different clips and see which works best on what setting, same for waveform or however you like to expose. Then once you know that you can judge from how your image looks on camera to how it will look roughly in editing, just getting used to the camera and the picture profile

@@schoeferfilm looks dope man! can’t imagine it was easy bringing an fx6 around whole climbing😂 Only thing I’d say would be to edit in a 25p timeline so it’s a bit smoother and the slow motion is cleaner man🏆 Great shots though for sure
Hey what do you set your AF settings on the A7Siii when doing a video like this? I find when I move you can see slight shifts in focus and yours is very smooth.

Your videos are some of the cleanest footage I've seen! I just got the A74 and some people are saying over expose and some are saying under expose for s log3. I get you need to with low light but do you shoot at 0 in daylight or golden hour? Thanks seriously I hope I can get my videos looking like yours soon!
Personally I don't think you need to over or under expose at all, from my experience the viewing LUT does a good job and replicating the rec 709 lut you put on in post, apart from really bright situations, the screen doesn't seem to show the true dynamic range of the camera I found. Times where the sky looks to be blown out and lacking detail in the clouds, in post it looks fine. So I'd focus on exposing your subject but also do some general testing! (I have another video dropping tomorrow on exposure that may help you out also).
