U doing something wrong then. When you use the adjustable do you make sure you adjust evenly on both sides as you lock the line . I know if you tighten unevenly it will cause you issues
No they are often garbage- I just had one work twice then loose grip. Drove directly to Eastwood and picked up their bench flare tool…yes it’s expensive but it works flawlessly
😮💨shhhiiiiit! That's why?!? I didn't know I needed to run the damn cone down in like a standard flare after. Fml I've wasted sooo much time redoing it over and over
Grabbed one of these today to have one in my work truck. Damn thing kept pushing the tube out. I tried everything but still wouldn’t give me a good flare. The damn handheld one we have at the shop is ancient and works like a charm every time!
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but you only double flare steel lines and single flare stainless lines. Its been about 20+ years since i learned brake lines in HS so I don't quite remember.
Double flair is the strongest it’s usually what’s used on SAE standard cars. Euro cars usually use a DIN standard bubble. Both work fine but double flairs are a lot easier in my opinion.
A few drops of oil makes a really good flare
Good tip!
Brake fluid
Mine just pushes the pipe out the back before its made a flare! And yes ive bollocked it up with adjustable too.

Yup mine was the same piece of shit. But I took a file and grinded both mating surfaces maybe half a mill and now the bastard stays still
@tehdreamer that'll work

Last one i did i came so so close to flaring before putting the fitting on but i remembered last second. I still felt super dumb.
HAHA. I definitely have made that mistake before.

Thank you for the video i was struggling to get it right until I came across your video i appreciate it
No problem, glad it helped!
Best video especially without a vise
Thank you!
Thank you😊😊😊😊😊😊
No problem!
I’m glad I’m not the only one struggling with this. I have to redo the flare 3 or 4 times until I get a good one
To be fair... I rarely get them this clean on the first try ;).
Ola , onde eu compro só essa pecinha pra fazer esse tipo de terminal, desde já agradeço
Aluguei este na loja de peças, mas você pode comprá-lo aqui. amzn.to/3Ag4iOr
Can u tell me this kit name?
😮I didn’t know this tool exist till today when a brakeline got damaged on my TUNDRA
Even better if you read the instructions. You left out two steps! Beveling the tube and gauging the tube stick out length.
And he didn't mount the press on the clamp correctly
@@bobp6742 have you ever made a brake line lol?

Can you come do mine lol I’m serious
HAHA! Oh come on, you got this! Just use the Copper Nickel brake line, it is way easier to work with.
First mistake you put the fitting on so you didn’t get to do a “Practice One”.

This was with the copper nickel brake line... which is much easier to work with than steel.
Love those copper nickel lines and you have to use visegribs on the tool the line gets pushed down have a blessed day today 🙏
Yes! Copper nickel lines are the way to go!
Been there. Done that. It's a bitch, but that's how it should be done.
Awsom😊😊
Thank you!
Very nice
Thank you!
Now do a bubble or DIN flare
Thank you for this...!!
My pleasure!

I'm not sure on this one..

Just a heads up if you tighten down evenly on the brake line while getting ready to flare it you will have a much easier time making a line
Good to know, thanks.
Thanks
No problem!
I did not pay attention in automotive class today so the video really helped 😅
