We lost charlie today another country legend made his way thru the gates of heavan rip charlie lov ya. Man and your music lives on 😪
Come home, Come home, Jesus is waiting for you and me. Wonder what George would say at Charlie's funeral?
Sad day, but glorious for all those legends strummin in Heaven today
Yeah I bet him and Johnny and June and George and all the others are having a good ol time
Another legend lost...I am so thankful for all of the wonderful music left for us and generations to come to enjoy... Charlie was one of the main contributors to The Journey Home...its a place for those down on their luck to go have hot meals get clothes and other things...It's only a few blocks from my house and I have met Charlie twice and as great of an artist as he was I've always heard he was even greater of a man... I know my community is going to miss Mr Daniels.R.I.P to another amazing artist that will be dearly missed
When he heard the harps playing,as he walked through the gates, he picked up that golden fiddle and said... "Boys let me show you how this stuff's done!"
He sure did ...soooo happy for him!
Whos watching this today? Im 23 and love these old western and country singers. Feel like an old soul.
15 and I’ve always loved these old country singers Randy Travis is my favorite
Me. I'm 71. You have great taste in real Country Music. Love it. God Bless.
Keep these old guys relevant.
58 years old and grew up on the old classics. Losing too many of the True Legends of Country Music that made Country, Country Music.
George Jones, Charlie Daniel's and now, Toby Keith 😢! Thank God for Country Music. So good to hear someone your age loving the Legends. George Jones was my all time favorite but I love the Legends such as Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Marty Robbins and Eddie Arnold, too.
41 years old. You have good taste!
Mr. Charlie Daniel's now joins that group that have went home. RIP Charlie Daniels
Whose gonna fill their shoes?
@@jeffjahns1974 We have very view left. Vince Gill, George Strait, and the likes.
He was one of the greatest of all tlme
Jeff as Vince Gill said " it is my belief that they don't make those shoes anymore."
@@christophersherrell4592definitely agree they dont make these shoes anymore. But i believe luke combs found a pair somewhere. Garth brooks is a class act too, in my opinion anyways

AMEN
That's the truth one of the greatest
RIP to both and all the legends.
Just heard of Charlie’s passing. You are now up in Heaven with George Jones. Your rendition of “Softly and Tenderly” is one of my favorites. RIP.
My husband started me listening to him. I still do. So glad got to see him at Strawberry Festival in Tampa Florida
Thank you....
Hello Tammy how are you doing over there
One of my favorite songs.
And Jesus has called Charlie Daniels home. RIP Mr. Daniels. God Bless you. We'll miss you so much.
This was the song that was playing when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and was baptized in 1973. It still resonates with my heart now 48 years later. Thank you, Jesus. I hope this is the song that is playing when I enter into the gates of Heaven.
Me too at the same time. Very grateful for his mercies. At 61 years old, can't wait for the day to go home.
On that day it will be awesome
Amen
Amen
Beautiful
And now they’re together again playing for the Lord. Oh the joyous music and sound it must be. 🙌🏻❤️
🙌❤️💔
Imagine the heavenly duet.
We'll get to hear it once again
I'm sure it's amazing!

What another sad day, losing Charlie Daniels. I know it was God's will to take him home with so many other great singers, musicians, and songwriters and he will be missed. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸AMERICAN LEGEND 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
IMAGINE THE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC BEING PLAYED RIGHT. NOW IN HEAVEN.....❤
That was probably one of the greatest Eulogy's ever written
What a beautiful eulogy I have never heard a tribute to a legend given by a hero so touching .
All true a heart wrenching what a friend .
Rip Charlie
Rip George
And now Loretta, who's gonna fill their shoes?
@@SuperVicgil
Some mighty big shoes to fill and since music has evolved to where it is today !
I don’t think it has the luster of old ,uncharted sound ,and meaning.
Life is to short and hero’s of that era is like a a kids first three or four Christmas’s.
It loses its luster and it’s hard to have the same feelings toward the sound .
Maybe a Joe Nichols,Mo Pitney and a few others gives you a little hope
@@SuperVicgil yep 👍 I went to the same place. Lord I wonder who's gonna fill their shoes ...
The Red Headed Stranger is that remains
Wow.
Losing George Jones is like losing a member of the family. I grew up listening to him and loving every note he sang. He got me thru sad times and celebrated the good with me thru his music. My heart is broken over the loss of one of the greatest country music icons of all time. I know God is enjoying the heavenly voice we had the pleasure of hearing for so many years. R.I.P. George.
Awe but he's happy on Heaven I feel so much joy for George and all the country singers that found Jesus
Dudes writing his own eulogy too. Gotta love the greats that paved the way for all our heroes today. God bless you Mr. Daniels and Mr Jones.
Will miss Charlie and his wonderful music...RIP Charlie Daniels!!
Hello Mary how are you doing over there?
I don't know who this made me miss more. George or Charlie. They both are in perfect peace. Our Hope is in our sweet Jesus 🙌🏻❤️
For those knocking others comments about the Lord/Jesus...listen up please.
Charlie Daniels became a Christian several years ago, thank God, because now he will be in Heaven for all eternity singing away !!! The man knows Jesus as his Lord and Savior and freely speaks of it, as any of us should who know Christ, because without Jesus, when those pass thru death's door, they won't be going to Heaven, where there's no more tears, pain or crying again !!! But to a horrible place called hell. God is not a dictator, He has given us free will, to have the right to make a choice..... I hope and pray, you'll make the right choice.
Hi 0h how true it is we all have the freedom to choose so much 0f the journey we call life takes us why are we not more willing to share the joy we know of what can be oud
DID YOU KNOW?
MOSES WAS A WAR CRIMINAL
"And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses"
(Deuteronomy 34:10)
Yahweh, a being of simple and bloody tastes
"One night while Moses was in camp, Jehovah was about to kill him.
But Zipporah [his wife] circumcised her son with a flint knife ... So Yahweh did not harm Moses.
Zipporah said, 'You are a bridegroom of blood'."
- Exodus 4.24-26.
NUMBERS 31:13-18:
(13) Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the community went to meet them outside the camp.
(14) But Moses was furious with all the generals and captains who had returned from the battle.
(15) “Why have you let all the women live?” he demanded.
(16) “These are the very ones who followed Balaam’s advice and caused the people of Israel to rebel against the Lord at Mount Peor. They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the Lord’s people.
(17) So kill all the boys and all the women who have had intercourse with a man.
( 18 ) Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves.
JESUS ENDORSED MOSES:
“Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, in whom you have put your hope. 46 If you had believed Moses, you would believe Me, because he wrote about Me. 47But since you do not believe what he wrote, how will you believe what I say?”…
John 5:45 47
JESUS ENDORSED THE TORAH
For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
Matthew 5:18
JESUS DEMANDED THE DEATH PENALTY
"Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked,
“Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don’t wash their hands before they eat!”
Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ [Exodus 20:12; Deuteronomy. 5:16] and ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’[Exodus 21:17; Leviticus. 20:9]
But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is ‘devoted to God,’ they are not to ‘honor their father or mother’ with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
“‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules.’[ Isaiah 29:13]”
Matthew 15:1-9.

Charlie Daniels was a great musician and wordsmith, he had a great voice and was really inspired on this occasion - save this one, folks, because you can see him settle into a groove, as inspiration seized him, and he delivers a real soulful performance.
Eulogies can be dreadful, as not everyone can be at ease with the subject matter. But Charlie, strengthened by his Christian conversion, took the stage armed with well-crafted words and spoke for George, and then sang him home magnificently. I watch this occasionally myself, though my favorite is the way Travis Tritt and Marty Stuart did "I Walk The Line" for the Johnny Cash Memorial show. And Thank God for videos, so we can watch these absent friends when we want.
Charlie Daniels was my friend for over 45 years, and I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Nancy Jones but not George. One time I asked her if He was up to meeting me,she smiled and just shook her head, like “no”. I looked at her and we both just laughed. The next time I saw her that night she was behind the T-shirt table just a counting money. As I passed by I said, Now that’s hand on management, she just smiled and looked at me like,”Can’t you see l am trying to count” I said in going by,”God Bless you Nancy Jones, and George too! She said, God Bless you, Friiiitz like she could kill me , she is a wonderful Lady. FRITZ
A Great Story Teller and Singer, will be Missed ..RIP George and Charlie.

What a wonderful tribute to Mr. George Jones, Mr. Daniels, thank you! And this song, well, it touched my heart, it brought me back to where I too sang this in loving memory of a very dear friend who passed of cancer..thank you for sharing..God bless...
We have lost so many great people from the music world it's just sad , so to all of those we lost I dedicate this song " GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN " May Y'all R I P.
At our age, I will be 71 years old in September, we experience losing our friends, family members and the entertainers who made our lives a bit more pleasant on this earth. So very many gone. And they will continue to go. And we will follow soon enough. May they who precede us, and eventually ourselves, rest in the presence of Our Lord in Heaven. I am so ready for my new body. Amen.
I don't think there was a better singer than GEORGE JONES! He was loved and respected BY all one thing l loved about him he took every opportunity to talk about REAL COUNTRY MUSIC RIP GEORGE
Being Hispanic our music has the same problem as country music, my mother introduced me to old singers from a bygone era. Beautiful raw talent with no need to adjust because of richness of their voices. I feel that unfortunately we stuck with what others consider country music. Thank goodness for you tude and those that upload these gems.
I'm sorry I didn't know that George Jones had passed on well I guess GOD needed another great voice in his choir RIP possum and great eulogy Mr Daniels
Dude, you hit that nail right on the head. It doesn't matter the genre of the music, if it is played from the heart. I've long said that music is the last real magic in this old world and the true magicians will always move us.
You should check out Linda Ronstadt's Spanish language albums, and her albums of standards with Nelson Riddle. She really liked that old music, and was able to honor her own roots with superb records, using the finest musicians. If you are truly interested, I think that you'll appreciate these albums. Fortune passes everywhere.
This country lost a great great man when we lost Charlie Daniels and I wish he was still here to give his two cents on our Country but the HEAVEN's are singing HALLELUJAH!

Absolutely beautiful words, coming from an iconic country music singer, about a legendary country music singer. His words are poetic and humble.

This song made me walk that long walk to the front of the church and be saved! Was Baptized when I was 14!
Same! I was 11.
As someone who has been baptized twice, being baptized when you've already been through teen years is a plus. You understand it differently. Genuinely.

Hi Patty 👋
It is a wonderful day when all of the greatest artists of all times are using the beautiful gift Jesus has blessed them...their voices.....to glorify his name! There is NO better music in this world than Gospel! The ONE thing I respect about George is that I heard him say one time........I will NEVER sing gospel music and make a mockery of God by making $ off gospel music......when I am worthy and k=living the way he wants me to live then I will sing gospel music! How wonderful a statement!
He was a genius, always leaves one with beautiful emotions🥰 What’s your favorite tune of him?

Great song sung by a legendary artists. !!
All this time of listening to Charlie Daniels I never thought of him as being anything but a good "Ol Boy who sang C&W music. But now I know him to be a true intellect with poetic abilities to write and deliver such an eloquent eulogy as he did for George Jones. He completely captured who George Jones was with his words of remembrance. His spoken words were captivating and heartfelt. My view of who Charlie Daniels has completely changed.

so well sung by a true country and gospel singer, some just speak and we listen, no better way to honor one true country singer to another!! and there truly are only a few ole country boys left! when the great ones pass! Mr. Randy Travis,Jamie Johnson, Josh Turner , please do us justice in keeping this music with us!!!!!!
Isnt it amazing to listen to what they call country today what with all their electronics too help them remember the words to their songs and too make them sound better? I went to a dance hall close to where I grew up to listen to alot of these great singers and it's where I learned to 2 step and waltz and other dances. My god these kids cant even dance. Oh well time dont stop for no one.
Charlie Daniels hits the nail on the head at about the 3:40 position. Beautiful words from a great artist to another great artist.
