You can tell a good singer by when he just has a guitar and his voice. The crowd is dead silent listening to every little sound of his golden voice. Truly amazing
Thats a true story. Years ago, I saw the Gatlin Brothers in concert in Ontario and about 3 songs in, the entire sound system went out. They went back stage to try to fix it and probably 20 minutes later, the brothers came back out and Larry said, "We don't know what's wrong. If anyone wants their money back, we'll work it out with you. Right now, we're just gonna sit here and play and sing for you." And that's what the three of them did all evening. Three guys with guitars and no sound system. Couple of years later they opened the show for Kenny Rogers in Toronto and they had a perfect concert but it wasn't nearly as good as they were that night when it was just the three of them and no amps.

One thing I have always loved about country is that we show absolutely NO shame at loving the Lord and are not afraid to worship at anytime anywhere. God bless George Jones and Randy Travis.
Hello there 👋 Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will make you smile.
Randy’s voice is one of the few that truly gives me the chills. One of the purest singers that we have ever known. An amazing talent that I hop can be heard again. I seriously pray that Randy is at least able to sing again one day.
This man's voice was all that soothed me when I was in the midst of panic attacks. May God bless him and bring him back to us to sing. MUCH love to Randy.
I was in Ft Leavenworth, KS, military prison, in case there is any doubt, when i first heard Randy's "Forever and Ever...". Since then, his voice and music has ruled my life. My kids sang "Digging up Bones" as "I'm picking my nose" and they couldn't understand how I thought that Randy would somehow approve if he could see the image, in the rear view mirror, of my babies having so much fun, and glorying in his melody. Randy simply SLAYED me and my only son with "He Walked on Water" when my 10 year old son told me, "Daddy, this is my song to YOU!" OH Randy, you brought the best of thought and music about simple country LIFE to us all, and i will NEVER forget you for that. YOU brought me, my wife, my children together, in a time i wish wish I could escape to forever. G-d bless, my brother, for all you have GIVEN!! G-d will NOT forget!!!!!!!!!!
Having just watched a video of Gerorge Jones and Randy Travis performing together "Influences" at a club in Nashville, then scrolling down and seeing this is truly surreal. In the video of them together, followed by a much older Randy Travis, singing a song of tribute at Mr. Jones' funeral is to say the least a stark example of how fleeting life is. Great entertainers both. I was fortunate to have seen George Jones live in a town where I lived on his 60th. birthday. What an entertainer this man was and will always be to many, and the same accolades to Mr. Travis as well.

I break down coming to terms with the departure of most great heroes of Country Music. George Jones, one of my all time favorites. Randy Travis down with stroke (Lord heal him please)
I am sorry, but I just have to mention this. There was a lot of people judging this man for an outbreak he had. No one walks in his shoes and people never know what is happening to him in his life. Medical, abuse, stress and so on. He is a human being and has been a kind man and gives us all joy when listening to his music and spreads the word of God. Pray and do not judge. Glad to see so many here who still love him.
God tell's us in His word that we all sin and fall short of His glory but through faith in Jesus Christ we recieve forgiveness of sins; as for all those people - including Wendy Williams- remember what Jesus said to all those people who were going to stone the women caught in adultery, He told them," let him without sin cast the first stone."
I am so glad that this man was able to sing this for one of his best friends. I miss hearing this voice. I pray he will recover from all of the loss he has suffered.
First of all I'd like say Thank You George Jones for all the beautiful music you gave us through the years. I pray for Peace for family and comfort in knowing he will never be forgotten and that special voice still is heard again and again every day by so many people, his fans, people who have come to know him through other country artists and love his voice. Dear Randy, I have read through the comments and saw it dissentergrate sp? verbal sparring and insults hurled at each other. I Love you singing Amazing Grace at George's funeral. It was a stunning performance. I pray for your continued recovery and am so glad that you have a loving wife at your side to help you through it all. I have always heard a sadness and depth in is voice we cannot know what all he has suffered through but the underlying sadness was always there for me and tugs at my heart. Listen to his song Promises the live version and you will see pain, beautiful voice but alot of emotion and pain. I pray for his full recovery and that his happiest days are right ahead of him. God Bless you George. You are at Peace now with the Lord. God Bless your family. And God Bless you Randy, you have no idea how many people are pulling for you and praying for you. You remind me of our human weakness and that none of us is perfect or should judge you. Your light still shines.
Randy got me into country music. Me and my dad used to race go karts when I was really little. In between races I’d sit inside of my dads truck, insert my dads cassette tape of Randy Travis and listen to it until it was my or my dads turn to go out on the track. I loved his music so much.

I sang that song three wooden crosses by him and it's a good song
@Connie Miller expositor you are thinking of an entirely different song, totally unrelated
Randy is making a lot of progress...just watched an interview he and his wife Mary did with a Christian host on Life Today network. He will sing again this I have no doubt. God is using him in this way for now...to remind people that he does EXIST! When he has a different stage of his plan for Randy he will let us see it. Thank you Lord Jesus for keeping this mans strength and faith in you strong.
@@doloresguyer4466 I don't particularly believe in religion, but I sure hope you're right.

I can never get tired of listening to this amazing voice. The song just makes it even more wonderful...long live the king of County Music! In my opinion❤❤❤❤❤
Two greats at this sad event: one passed on, and one now recovering from a stroke. Randy is most certainly my favorite from the 80s, which was so full of talent. God bless you, Randy! Hopefully, soon, you'll be singing as you did again. Either way, you're a walking, breathing, living miracle!
What a beautiful tribute thank you rNdy
