Such an informative episode for a traveler! I really enjoyed the travel luggage demo and the Philly train station details. It is so much fun being a tourist in a familiar city - no work pressures or time crunches.
Dear TGV, I've been enjoying you channel for about 3 years or so now and I just wanted to say thank you again for an absolutely fantastic place to watch TH-cam. You're always classy, have great content and I just enjoy the things you bring to the channel. (Watches and other things, like the luggage). I enjoy watching so much. Thank you and I wish you all the best. Cheers
Packing cubes were a lifesaver when i was backpacking in hostels. you can unpack your bag, without unpacking your bag. and just stack them up next to your bed causing no mess.
OMG, you are true Gentry, I saw him during this trip in fact. Hopefully he will return int future videos. miss him so much too. Thank you Hank, Best regards, TGV

@@Mister_Phafanapolis You´re right. I own a 1985 Fat Lady amongst many other tickers. I learned during the recent years that an old TV screen case Seiko from the 70ties, or the latest Hamilton bronze case Khaki handwinder (hmmmmm) can make you just as happy. It is not the money behind a watch that makes me happy. It is the combination of multiple most different features, approaches, materials, precision etc. and sometimes the history and culture behind it+ the idea that it will not be alone for long.😉
Usually I prefer to just get down to the list of watches, forwarding as necessary, but I didn't this time. I loved how the watches helped tell your story, I was glued to the very end. Great video TGV!
My travel watches: For work: Longines Conquest . For work+leisure: Tag Professional 2000 or a Casio Edifice EFV-100 Leisure/Vacation travel:the Edifice or a GShock DW-5600
A great return to form -- and hopefully prelude to the future -- for the channel, and a hugely enjoyable visit to NYC via your discerning eye for art, design, and the weirdness of the City. From a one time very frequent traveler, great respect for the efficiency and organization of your packing. My travel tip -- if they are not too funky inside, pack your new bluetooth speaker or other objects that need to be protected inside your sneakers for space efficiency. I have traveled to alot of challenging locals (e.g., Iraq, Sudan) for work and usually don't take the more dear watches -- love my Citizen titanium Promaster Diver and Yema Spacegraf Zero G as light, tough and, legible low-profile travel watches.
How the short overview of your travel collection turned into a guided tour of NYC... It is much appreciated! I also like your case and travel cubes, however I don't travel by train or plane nearly enough to pick them up for myself. It's almost a shame!
Sparked a bit of nostalgia. My father used to take me to Grand Central when I was a young child. The Oyster Bar, that ceiling, the taste of black and white cookies. Got the feels.
Everytime I used to tavel to Paris, I had also used to buy a new watch! I bought just a new one only for that... to travel. That day I bought an unexpensive Lorus cronograph wich has a Seiko quartz movement inside. Got everything I needed for the occasion. However the way you have shown this time is the correct one: taking with you a selection of your time pieces. All the gadgets you have recommended to us are awesome too! Thank you! Saludos!!
Grazie Tristiano, really enjoyed this one. Good way to unwind after a hectic day. Planning to visit NYC next year for the first time, grand central will be a must on the list and won’t be forgetting my watch roll 😉
Great escapism I’ve totally enjoyed watching you take in NYC, my favourite travel watch is my inconspicuous vintage 16600 Sea Dweller. Nice luggage and fabulous watch collection.
Not sure how a Sea Dweller, even vintage, is inconspicuous. It's less blingy than the later models, especially the larger ones, but it's still recognizable.
@@raksh9 ...... Precisely......this was my point! I’m not interested in my everyday wearing watch being a show piece with embellishments of precious metals. The older Sea Dweller sits and fits better for the average wrist size, it’s not the 43mm or these newer 41mm models weighing in with more material and size presents. It’s understated proportions and functional simplicity make it inconspicuous. Not that I don’t like occasionally wearing a more blingy watch, it’s just the exception to the rule for my taste or more summer wearing experience when I choice to.
