    Brother, you are such a humble and grounded character.
    I love your 328i, I have an N52 powered 1 series and I know it's not the fastest thing out there, but it fills me with joy whenever I drive it and that's what matters the most.
    Peace and drive safe out there ✌️

  • @nelsonx4235
    @nelsonx4235 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    Bro, you should have mentioned that the N52 is by far the greatest inline 6 cyl made by BMW. This is what BMW was all about; inline 6 NA engines. These were meant to last for many years. I do not like you calling them slow; they aren't necessarily slow; mine is 328i MT coupe, supercharged, headers, 3 stage manifold, tuned, and gutted out. It's hell fast. For those of you who think this is not worth spending the money on these upgrades, I disagree, I have all the reliability I need with power...I do not need to worry about turbos, high pressure pumps, etc.

    • @theophilusone7
      @theophilusone7 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love my n52. Not fast, not even a little.
      Upgrading a open deck engine is Dumpster diving. Go get a tu and stomp out skylines. You need a new BMW my guy!

    • @InlineSixAuto
      @InlineSixAuto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I would agree with you that the N52 could be BMWs best engine for reliability. But there is no denying that it is slow compared to most other cars on the road now. I'm talking about stock power specifically though. Most people with a 328i don't have the money to drop on all those mods. From my experience, most people just want to get the most amount of power for the least amount of money so it would be more practical to just start with a 335i and be at the same power output as yours for half the cost and less work with simple bolt ons. Though every one does that so its pretty cool actually that you did all that to yours. Your 328i is probably fast but without some form of forced induction, in general the N52 is not powerful. Sounds like you've built an awesome car though power-wise so props to you.

      @@nelsonx4235 You're talking about an N52 here. It's an engine. it doesnt have good or bad handling. Reliability wise, it's great as hell (I own one). But it's still not that powerful and it's slow.

    Have an 06 325i 160k, previous owner was a lady and didn’t do the proper maintenance so I had a check list to do before we got it running and healthy. She needed a fuel pump to get it running,after replacing most gaskets, cleaning throttle body, maf, and the whole engine bay she is running pretty good. Haven’t touched coils only did plugs and I’ve been running the 330i tune with 3im for a few months no big problems besides an oil leak from a loose bolt on the valvetronic and a vacuum leak from me breaking the pcv eggshell hoses. Overall great daily,people over exaggerate problems/ owners fault most of the time.

    Love the video man! I also have a 328i 2009 lci and modded it as well. As you stated before not much was needed to be done. I so far only had to do the valve cover and the oil pan gasket. Those were the 2 bigs things that I expected going into this purchase. Luckily the valve cover was covered under the n51 sulev warranty. I just hit 130k. The one preventative thing I need to do that should get my car to at least 150k without any issues is the water pump. Im the second owner but im not sure if the water pump was ever replaced. Did not see it on the carfax when I purchased car.

      Thanks! That Sulev warranty would be so nice to have lol. I actually need to do my oil pan gasket right now but since mine is AWD it makes that job so more work than RWD. I would assume your waterpump hasn't been replaced if it wasn't on the carfax. Would that be covered under the warranty?

Have you ever had an issue with the xdrive of the car ? Like the module or the transfer case in general. Its the biggest problem i am facing with my car since the day i bought it about 1.5 years ago . First the scanner said it had problem with the module . After an year of finding the module, i finally found a used one and fitted it but now the scanner says mechanical problem with transfer case.
