There are dedicated trim removal tools made of nylon (Amazon lists the Neiko 20598A, and I think Aliexpress has super cheap ones). It's good to have around as they are handy prying apart interior trims if you want to install a dash cam.
DISCLAIMER. If you are removing window tint remove the door panel and use a heat gun or hairdryer. Heat the glass up on the outside to were it is hot on the back of your hand and heat the inside as your peel (try not to make it untouchable) regulate the temperature and it will be the easiest to remove!

We bought a 325i for $1,500 last summer! So far pretty much everything except the body has been replaced (and even a part of that has been changed out). New engine, alternator, struts, springs, tires, front bumper, headlights, battery, fuel pump and headliner. We also removed the tint because it was bubbling up since the previous owner added illegal tint and let it sit out. They essentially drove the car into the ground and when we bought it it wouldn’t go above 45 mph without smoking and breaking down. Since all the work we’ve put in I’ve gone on a couple 2 hour trips with her and she runs perfectly. Not sure how much we could get out of it, but I love my car!
Bumpers look like they definitely have seen better days. I think it’s time for some M-Tech bumpers all around! I think you’ll like the appearance of them especially in a black sapphire metallic E90. Maybe once my tax return comes in I might do the same ;)
I’m currently doing the same thing to an 06 325xi. I was able to take the top window trim off by peeling the remnant of the trim up about an inch or two from the driver side, and then using a body filler putty knife (plastic, not metal) and just scraped it off. After a good vacuum and some goof-off on the remaining adhesive, it was ready for the replacement.
For working with glass, I recommend using a brand new sharp chisel! It's much easier to handle than a razor. I think it's worth the extra bucks. When I'm painting around my house, I don't bother masking the glass. My trusty chisel will cut & lift the latex paint very quickly & easily.
I found that when removing tint, get a piece started then put the steam on the sticky side kind've in the crease instead of on the backside, with the heat and moisture it removes the tint and glue very easily
what we do at the dealer is get a tire valve stem then put the metal end into the drill and u use it like youre buffing the paint. the rubber doesnt hurt the paint but it rips the glue residue right off then you use a little solvent to get rid of any residue left
hey man with that tint, I know its too late now, but I had the same problem and my solution to pull the tint and glue off in one shot was to peel it off cold believe it or not. Then you will have very little glue left over to remove.

There just cheap second hand. IE a car like this in LA goes for 4k all day good condition. So people buy them run them to the ground and get rid of them when they need to much repairs. I've done it I had a 05 528 I got for cheap really good condition. Put 50k miles on it in one year didn't do any repairs on anything that went wrong. Just tired breaks and oil. And got rid of it for 3k
Yeah, some of them end up in the wrong hands and get treated very poorly. My 1997 318i had spray-painted leather seats when I got it. It took two days of scrubbing with acetone to get it all out.

THEN I can start thinking about new rims and aesthetic changes like repainting and tint, it's a 1999 Mercedes e320 and man is it a handful of work but I got it for a great price.
Here the E90 costs like 10 000 dollars... no way u could get it down to 1500 here. Norway is an expensive country lol, the F30 starts at like 18K on the used market.
I have a pretty much brand new set of "Genuine BMW" (NOT DEPO) Blackline smoked tail lights (4 Piece) for the e90 2006-2008. I bought them from a BMW in NJ (new) and had them on the 330i for about a month. I sold my 330i for a Cadillac CTSV. They are just sitting in my closet collecting dust. For the trim, its actually held on by a metal strip around the windshield, pull on that and all the rubber will come out, then gather the leftovers.
