      Yeah I agree, equality of opportunity.
      And people can compensate lack of physical fitness with other qualities, this is true for men too. Take William of Orange, he was short and had asthma, so I doubt he would have done well in modern military tests, but he still commanded armies to victory in the front lines, once almost being killed by enemy canon.

      Considering nearly no women can pass the test, and the ones that do are found to still be significantly less capable for long term combat engagements than their male counterparts, I'd say women are almost unequivocally unfit for combat.

    Feminism is about equity and equality. I am a feminist and I have spoken out about the unfair treatment of men, many times. I talk about prison, safety, body image, masculinity, amongst other things. So don't blanket me under a group of people that don't care about men. I'm a feminist and yet I agree that feminism can be extremely problematic. But not all of us are. Being against feminism is going against your own rights as a man. Mens issues are important to me.

I seem to remember that, and while some people who claim to be feminists act on supremacy, I find it an issue when people generalise in arguments (see how many times people use something like "you women/men/race of people..." to try and paint hypocrisy or make it look like everyone in said group believes what's said.)

    I disagree with you when you say women should not be allowed to serve in combat positions in the military; I think it's ignorant to say that "We need the best of the best" and ignore the fact that, yes women on average are not as fit to serve in these roles as men, but there are women out there capable of outperforming men on the battlefield. We DO need the best of the best out there, and that shouldn't be an issue of sex or gender. It should be an issue of ability. If someone demonstrates that they can handle themselves in a combat role, they should be able to go out there regardless of their downstairs mixup, ya dig?

      I agree! There were a plethora of women in WW2 who flourished in the war. One of the best snipers out there, Lyudmila Mikhailovna Pavlichenko, a woman, has 309 credited kills. But, most people think women (aside from Joan of Arc, who is awesomely popular) have no noticeable or historical achievements in war.
      If you have an awesome fighter with a good skillset, female or not, they should be allowed to use those skills in defense of their country.

      But in most instances men are the ones with the ability. In most instances of course there is always the odd one. But still he isnt lying when he says men are genetically made to take on tougher situations and they are better to be utilized in front line combat while woman i believe are more suited for support roles. He may not have worded it correctly but i dont think he meant that women should under no circumstance serve on the front line.
      Bottomline genetically men are mostly the ones to use when you need muscle.

    • @audacious3198
      @audacious3198 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      The biggest issue is if we have the lower the standard for women to pass. If woman can pass to the SAME standards as men then I'm 100 percent behind it. But unfortunately most wash out because they fall short of the requirements. Lowering the standard lowers the standard of protection. I would love to see more women with badass role like in the kurdish army. But we have to also have realism. A lot of those females grew up in a war zone and have life long prep and understanding of the gravity of combat. Most the people born in the us never experience that except through the training before being thrown in head first in a conflict. There are definitely some tough as nails women in the country. But a large majority don't want combat roles. Those that do should be given the chance to prove they can. But the standard of entry should not be lowered for anybody no matter gender or orientation.

    • @arachanine

      Hey, at the end of the day, the fact there are woman in the military itself is a huge development. They aren’t pretty little nurses on the sidelines, no matter what you think not being in combat means. These are highly skilled and highly developed women who do outperform men in other niche fields. It’s amazing to think about

  • @kellyflores4931
    @kellyflores4931 8 ปีที่แล้ว +91

    So, if a woman CAN meet the physical demands of a combat role, shouldn't she be allowed to do it?! I'm sorry Daniel but I disagree here. Some women can meet the standards and should be allowed. As a woman who has served in the army I can tell you that the standards for men and women are already different in the military (PT tests and ASVAB scores). So does this mean women have no place in the military in your opinion simply because we are biologically different? I'm not a feminist. But I am telling you that we all go through the same training exercises at basic training and have to all complete the same obstacles to graduate. None of those standards are different just the two I mentioned above. I ask that you rethink your position. Yes, we want people who are physically in great shape in combat roles and in our military... But if a woman can meet those standards why not?!

    • @kellyflores4931
      @kellyflores4931 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ***complete all of the same training exercises and obstacles courses and also we are required to shoot the same targets and get the same qualifying score. I'm typing on my phone excuse the errors lol. And I can shoot better than most of the people in my unit. I would give men shooting tips for qualifying on the ranges. I almost shoot expert. (Sharpshooter here).

    • @kellyflores4931
      @kellyflores4931 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Let me also add that I scored high on the ASVAB test and based on what I saw the scoring for that test is equal(it was a rumor that females had to get a higher score than males to join or maybe at one point it was true but it's just speculation) so only the PT test has differing standards for males and females. The military needs not only strong people but smart people too to fill different jobs and positions. I really hope you take the time to read this Daniel and re examine your view point on this issue.

    *Hi there people, I know you don't know me, but i wouId like to state something.*
    Onision *has been deleting* his entire comments on the comment section of his video about Milo Yiannopoulos because it is one of his most hated videos, so yeah, he's just one step beyond Anita Sarkeesian's practice of disabling the comment section. xD
    Why do I say this?
    Because my comment was one of the *top comments* on it and i wrote on the day the video itself came out. And now it is gone, if you look for the top comments now, they'll be only a day old, instead of 4 days old, which is when the video came out.
    My original comment was basically about *how feminism is only good as feminists, how the people make the movement, instead of the movement itself having a life of its own. And also, that feminism is complete set of ideas and goals, that include equality, not that equality itself is monopolized by feminism.*
    So yeah, it just goes to show how Onision much Onision hates criticism. ;)

      Razvan Musat Indeed. In fact, majority of feminists that I've encountered have a weak spot and that is their past 'sins' which they try to replenish themselves from.
      Isn't it funny how he uses his ex wife for clicks and then he ironically does the same for feminism but we don't care about women apparently, if we so choose to oppose a movement that seems to be dividing the sexes by it's actions and not it's definition that he always throws around?
      The truth is, everything that The Onion does is to fill that void of everything bad in his past that's happened to him or that he's done himself. It sometimes seems like satire until you see his mental breakdowns when you simply point out the reasons as to why he's doing it. He hates that more than anything and you can tell.
      Some of the things he's said about his dad, i'd feel for him and i'd give my respects but instead of being a decent human being or taking responsibility for his wrongs, the lazy way is to project all your negativity onto everyone else and then virtue-signal to people about how great you are.
      Most SJW's follow this same pattern. If nobody believes me? just research the past's of the most popular and 'professional' third-wave feminists, Black Lives Matter activists and most lefties - you'll be surprised by the level of irony.
      *Do wrong in your life or have wrong things done to you > virtue-signal to others about how great you are and thrive off the false response > tell others what to think, say and do (in a manipulative fashion) > dehumanize critics as 'sexist' and any name you can throw around > play the victim after the fact.*
      It's the same cycle, I honestly wasn't surprised that Onision took up thirdwave feminism because it seems to be almost filled with the people who're actual bigots. This is why I don't like what feminism has become, this is why Onision hates Milo because Milo is everything that these people could never be.
      It takes balls to take responsibility, oh sorry. I guess that was sexist of me. Hehe.

    Women in frontline? Go with the stats, find what is the minimum performance we want from frontline soldiers, and if some women do match those, why not? Why make it about sex or gender? Leave it to be a subject of ability.

    • @improbablywrong1615
      @improbablywrong1615 8 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      I agree; even if, due to physical biology, women would be accepted at a lower rate, they will still be eligible if they meet the requirements. Just because an average group of military women performs worse than men, doesn't mean there aren't some that perform on-par with the front-line men. And just because women would be accepted at a lower rate, certainly doesn't make it sexist, because both men and women have the same standards--it's just traditional anatomical differences between genders/sexes.
      Regardless of men or women, it takes an especially motivated kind of person to want to be in the front-line. (I myself am pretty spineless, even compared to non-military people ^_^)

    • @GuillaumeLeclerc
      @GuillaumeLeclerc 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      If you can't trust your soldiers together with their own, don't send them into combat, seems obvious.

    • @GuillaumeLeclerc
      @GuillaumeLeclerc 8 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      You are basically making the apology of soldiers raping their squad mates, you realize that? Because what, I've never been into combat? I've never been in space either, I can still tell you it's probably best not to send psychos up there.
      Somehow, being in a "dangerous" situation is supposed to alleviate those kind of behaviors from judgement? I never said soldier were rapists, I said that I would advise against putting psychologically unstable people in combat situation if that is really, as you stated, a concern.
      Are you seriously advocating the opposite position? That we shouldn't send women into combat because our own soldiers will rape them, and that this is something we can do nothing to change? More, that the difference in performance and effectiveness somehow warrants excluding women entirely for that? I'm sorry if my belief that a female soldier with equal competence and, let's be honest, superior determination, should be allowed on the frontline is somewhat naive to your apparent conviction that their fellow soldiers will unavoidably rape them.

    • @snuggles3927

      Studies show that even if the women meet the requirements, the men in the unit will take unnecessary risks to protect females, such as going back to help someone when it's a lost cause, only costing more lives. It's men's biology to do so.

    Feminists tend to actually talk about problems men face a lot more than antifeminists. Like those who are against feminism are way more likely to make a joke out of male rape than feminists.
    Many feminists i follow care about issues men face because often the hardships of men correspond to historical oppression of women. For example, feminists (male and female alike) supported and formed the main bulk the rally for longer paternity leave here in the UK. This is because the same rules that demonize women for working instead of raising children, demonize or inhibit men from doing the opposite.

    • @SeriouslyNotNormal

      Ahahahah and your statement about rape sentences is ironic, considering a man just raped a woman and got 3-6 months.

If you would like to use this following comment in a video, I give you complete consent to do so, I will not content ID you, or whatever Onision might do if you even showed his name in text on screen for a single frame.
    So, feminism is tricky. I agree with you, third wave feminism is very difficult to defend. I'm not a part of the 3rd wave. I don't say I'm a part of any wave. I truly believe in the actual equality between men and women. What I defend in my definition and identification with feminism are more social situations, but I also defend economic and political situations for both men and women. I defend the idea that mean should win the same or roughly the same percentage of custody cases as that of women. It isn't fair. Something else that comes up is the fact that more men are raped than women per year. In most rape analytics, prison rape is NEVER brought up. Most official documents with not include prison rape, and in male prisons, a huge percentage of those men are raped, typically white males. (Note, I do not believe in white or male privilege). I do believe in the purest definition of feminism. There are many feminists like me, but it's the feminazi's that ruin the image for feminists in total. Like radical Muslims ruining the image of all Muslims. So my question for you, and I'd love to get a video response, but any response would be great, my question is, if the Internet existed, do you think that third wave feminism would be as corrupt as it is? I see a huge case of mob mentality, typically in liberal states. Because feminazi's claim "it's progressive!" (Replies)

Also, it may be a good idea to deviate from the bestseller tumblr bullshit, as feminism, as a discipline, addressed many of the concerns you raised here long before 4th wave. Many feminist scholars have been trying to gain traction on these issues for decades, but are denied legibility for a host of reasons.

Eitherway, I agree that it sucks for both men and women that one has to pay more than the other for insurance. I always thought those things went on age and for health insurance, your lifestyle choices like smoking and then car insurance premiums would increase if you got into an accident.

    I don't think that women should be prevented from serving in combat positions, however I do think that the standards for such positions should remain the same for every person, and not lowered based on gender. In order to kill a man, you need to be just as capable in a combat situation as they are, that means you have to be just as fast, strong, and skilled as them if not more in any of those areas. Women have a right to serve their country in any means necessary, and the recent events in Syria have proven that women can fight effectively in combat positions. Look up the Peshmerga forces.

    • @537monster
      @537monster 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also I should mention that some combat positions don't mean necessarily kicking down doors and shooting up a building. Many combat positions now involve piloting drones, operating tanks and artillery, and piloting fighter and bomber aircraft, and possibly many other positions that I have not mentioned. In these cases, women have been proven to be just as capable as men and shouldn't not be banned from doing. However what also needs to be done, is a harder stance on rape (which has been worked towards across the military).

I have not researched this but people claim that women are more vulnerable to certain things, bleed out faster, etc. So if this were actually true, I can understand why they wouldn't be sent into combat. So it's not only about their skills, but about factors that they can't change no matter how good they perform.

      @LunaWitcher 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      As a matter of fact, sometimes we actually do have more rights than men. I mean, we are prioritize in a situation of danger, as well as children. We tend to be less targeted in some situations of street violence, like armed robbery, battery and assault (but maybe that's just in my country), and we are even a majority when it comes to people with higher education and degrees, even though that's not a specific female right.

    • @LunaWitcher
      @LunaWitcher 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On the other hand, even with higher education, we are paid less for the same work. We don't have enough time to take care of children because if we take more time off than it's given to us, we risk losing our jobs. And men sometimes don't even have time off to take care of the children, so it's no use letting the father take care of them for us. And I'm just mentioning the rights, I haven't even mentioned the problems feminism tries to fix somehow, the societal standards such as women being shamed for what men are glorified for, the media manipulation associating the female oversexualized figure with products like cars, beverages, clothes, pretty much anything in order to attract costumers, things that affect in a harmful way how women see themselves and their role in the world.

Or at the LGBT movement for not representing the issues of straight people? Obviously the ultimate goal of all of these movements is to achieve equality among all people, and their way of going about achieving equality is to raise awareness of the issues that their respective populations experience. While the NAACP doesn't focus on the issues of white people, the LGBT movement doesn't focus on the issues of straight people, and feminism doesn't focus on the issues of men, they do not belittle or invalidate the issues of other populations.
    Why is that because I believe women deserve the same opportunities as men you assume that I don't believe that men deserve the same opportunities as women...?

      Because dipshit lgbt stands for lesbians gays bisexuals and transgenders do u see straight anywhere in the mix no of course not BECAUSE LGBT NEVER CLAIMED TO ALSO BE HELPING STRAIGHT PEOPLE while feminists claim to also be helping men so here's your explanation for your small brain

    • @libbyisakitteh
      @libbyisakitteh 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      What exactly is it about feminism that makes you say it claims to help men? After all, as you have pointed out, LGBT stands for "lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders", and they fight for the rights of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders. Feminism stands for "female" and likewise stands for the rights of females.
      Feminism is a movement that as promotes equality among people by raising awareness about the issues of women. That would be why feminism has a heavy focus on equal pay, reproductive rights, societal roles, ect, all of which are valid and pressing issues surrounding equality in our society.

    • @libbyisakitteh
      @libbyisakitteh 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Additionally, why do you feel the need to be so hostile against the movement? Do you not agree that women deserve equal pay, reproductive rights, societal roles, ect? What has the movement done that has victimized you to the point of being so angry?

      +Libby Smetak I believe first world country feminists or at least the ones in the u.s sexists hypocrites one of the things they argue about is that they believe in equal rights for men and women even though they always get years and years less prison time then men for committing the same crimes and domestic abuse is a problem for men too even though roughly only 1 percent of abuse shelters would accept men so if they did believe in equal rights then WHY HAVE THEY NEVER EVER protested or talked about men's issues and I also believe that the wage gap thing is absolute bullshit they literally just took the salaries of men and women and compared it without looking at anything like which gender chooses overtime more and which gender has better paying jobs in general

    Regarding the military - surely a better system rather than banning women from combat situations would set a flat requirement which all soldiers, men or women, have to meet. That way the women who are as capable despite their natural disadvantage in strength still are allowed to serve. I think outright banning women despite some being perfectly capable is the wrong way to go about it.

    • @richarddb1856
      @richarddb1856 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@weedgoblinz I think your confusing the definition of feminism, which doesn't even really apply as much to 3rd wave feminism (MODERN FEMINISM)... What I was saying is that women actually have it easier then men nowadays in many cases, examples can be seen from teacher-student relationships, where if a male teacher sleeps with a female student they will get a long time in prison, and would be chastised and hated by society for the rest of his life, where as if the roles were reversed the female would only get a slap on the wrist compared to this (in most cases)... Same goes with rape cases.. Male on female rape: Man gets long time in prison, and in some cases, innocent men have to serve long prison sentences.. Female on male rape: male gets laughed at and called a wimp or gay for not wanting the sex, and the female AGAIN in most cases will just get a slap on the wrist compared to the male. Certain Fire-Fighting training excercises have actually been modified to make it easier for the women so they could actually pass, which in turn actually puts the public at risk of danger if the woman isn't physically able to pass the same test as the men, why should they have the same jobs? Of course some women can do it but not all of them can, does that mean we are misogynists because certain people tend to think public safety is a little more important than hurting someones feelings?? Thats the point of training, to get physically stronger and pass the test so that they know they can complete any job that might come up, wether its big or small. Some MAJOR Universities will give a woman a scholarship literally just for being a woman, so that diversity in the workplace is a reality. 3rd wave feminists complain about how oppressed they are, yet they are the ones doing the oppressing. We all have equality in the eyes of the LAW... But in REALITY women have more rights than men nowadays. Im ALL FOR TRUE GENDER EQUALITY, but the fact remains that the overwhelming majority of MODERN 3rd WAVE feminists, (not the ones following the true, and original definition of feminist), are respresented in the majority by Misandrists, who wan't to act like they are still oppressed while at the same time they are trying to make Feminists hate men, or make them believe that we are all misogynistic heathens who only care about sex and objectification of women.. Like cmon now its 2019 Women in Western societies are no longer oppressed, and news flash... We LOVE women. Real Women, who also love us, and not those man hating 3rd wave modern feminists, who are in the MAJORITY when it comes to 3rd wave feminism. So no, if the majority says this is what feminism is now, and what it represents, then this is what it has turned into. Ideologies change over time, and so do the type of people these ideoligies attract. Feminism, when it was actually NEEDED, was led by strong WOMEN who loved men and just simply wanted to be able to work, or vote, or own land, and be considered a true citizen, and not a second class one. Women who TRULY believed in equal rights and realized that both men and women need eachother, as Women are better at certain things than men are, and vice versa. Does that mean this is a absolute rule 100% of the time? No. Of course there is some Women who are just as physically able to do things as men, and by all means I have no problem with them doing the same jobs, IF they can match the ability of their male co-workers. This is what equality truly is... equal oppurtinity, and also equal limitations. A man wouldn't be hired if he physically couldn't preform the task that needs completing. So why is it fair that we should make this stuff easier so women are able to pass it yet men don't get hired if they can't pass the test. Theres double standards at play here and thats what you guys need to understand. If were fighting for equality then lets DO THAT. But why call it feminism?? Why call it male rights activism?? Why can we not just say we all believe we should be treated equally, and have the same limitations and opportunities as the next person? If Feminists really care about women why arent they in the MIDDLE EAST PROTESTING or RAISING MONEY for women who are victims of genital mutilation??? What about all the little girls forced into marriage, or the ones who cant leave their houses without a man from their family present with them??? YOU GUYS HAVE EQUAL RIGHTS IN WESTERN SOCIETY AND HAVE FOR A WHILE NOW... YOUR NOT OPPRESSED AND IN FACT YOU HAVE IT EASIER THAN MEN, BUT US MEN ARE EXPECTED TO JUST PUT UP WITH IT and NOT SAY ANYTHING? Then why do feminists have a right to say they are oppressed but we can't? "Male privelage" is a myth in western society. I could go on and on but clearly you don't get what I mean. I agree with the fundamental definition of what feminism SHOULD BE. But simply put, it's anything BUT equal. And it favors women over men MAJORITY of time. Im not generalizing.. Not all of you are like this clearly. But majority are, which is why alot of people are addressing it nowadays because we are tired of having it worse off then women yet being called priveledged and having feminists say how men are all the same. You dont want us to generalize right??? Well then dont do it to us.. You literally had no argument and now i've just destroyed any other argument you could even hope to have... Like it or not, these are facts.

    • @richarddb1856
      @richarddb1856 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There that should cover almost any point or position you decide to use/ any other arguments to the point i was making. The fundamental definition of feminism, if followed by definition isn't a bad thing. But what feminism has now turned into definitely isn't in favor of equal rights, its more like female supremacy/ misandry. Hopefully you understand what we mean now. Take care

      And hmh I had no idea that vaginal infections are like a norm in such conditions? If so then I guess it truly is useless to let women fight etc. What I meant by "women's choice" I was more like going for egalitarian thingy when if you can do the thing you should be let to no matter what you are, but yeah if female genitals are really that problematic then yeah. Tho, I know it's about joining by yourself and where you put who, but whenever I think of a draft and how only men can be drafted, lose their rights and be let to die even if they never signed up for this... if we'd let women be drafted too, draft wouldn't be there any longer imo. It's hard for me to comprehend why a woman would want to serve in combat. Women could be trained as snipers. Look at Annie Oakley!
    But women want to go for days without a shower, dive into the mud, face grenades, and kill enemies indiscriminately.
    I have no actual knowledge of what military combat involves. Maybe I've seen too many war movies that depict exactly why Sherman was famously quoted as saying, "War is Hell!"!
    I do have to say that anyone willing to go into combat is not a common trait.
    If religion subjugates women, why did orders of nuns form centuries before feminism was even a thing? These women couldn't become priests. But they had the option to reject societal norms dictating that they must be wives and mothers, and dedicate themselves to Jesus. Nuns are administrators of schools, hospital, organizations that help the poor, orphanages back in the days before abortion was legal, minister to prisoners on death row (Dead Man Walking, anyone?)and run nursing homes. They are the first real feminists and serious "social justice warriors". They continue to take a vow of poverty and never expect any recognition or praise for the work they do.
    I love your Onision videos, Dan!

    I realize this is an old video but quarantine and boredom brought me here. Saying feminism needs to focus on areas where men are treated unequally kind of misses the point. While I agree 100% the men’s issues you brought up need reform, I don’t think it needs to be dumped on the feminists plate just yet. Can we start by righting the wrongs done to women (a group historically more marginalized than men)? This argument to me is reminiscent of the “all lives matter” vs “black lives matter.” BLM doesn’t mean that blacks think they are the only group facing unequal treatment. They are saying please pay attention to the issues we face that need changing. As a group they are having far more problems in our society than whites. Doesn’t mean white people are all being treated well and fairly, but they are highlighting the help blacks currently need.
    Feminists are doing something similar. Just because they believe women need support and societal changes, they aren’t saying men don’t too. But that’s another cause for another day.
    Another example is if I try to make change in my community to get more people to carpool to help the environment. Then I’m told well if you care about the environment you should be attacking the people who manufacture cars bc what they do to the environment is far worse than people not car pooling. I agree what they are doing is bad, but can’t I focus on carpooling right now? Do I have to fight every fight at once to be fair?

      What Repzion was saying was essentially that Feminists are pushing for too broad of a point, and especially at the time when this video was produced it *was* that way. BLM are pushing for attention and change to be made in relevance to systemic racism against Blacks, but consequently, they’re also bringing attention to Latinos, Asians, etc. Repzion was also bringing up a flaw in the Feminist point of “everyone should be equal”. There’s not much to be said there.
      Saying you are being pressured to take down car manufacturers because you want to carpool to help the environment is like saying Feminists should eliminate all men because men are the main contributor to sexism. That’s a flawed way of thinking

    TL;DR: Everyone suffers from inequalities caused by discrimination and prejudice. Everyone should have an equal opportunity for the pursuit of happiness.
    Hi there! I know this is an older video, and I don't expect many to see this (or anyone at all), but I would like to let TH-cam wanderers know that there are people out there who advocate for equal opportunities for men, women, intersex, and all the labels in between. Obviously the term "feminism" carries a lot of historical weight. No one definition fits it perfectly because of it. Due to this, and in an effort of good faith to those suspicious of the less than altruistic individuals adopting the term as their label, I will refrain from using a settled label entirely. I hope this will allow some nuance in this discussion.
    For the following listed examples, each situation will be under the assumption that the person will be in an identical circumstance with identical qualities--the only difference stated will be the gender presented. Also, for the sake of brevity, feminine/masculine presentation will be shortened to women and men or female and male. These examples are also based on statistical percentages, meaning that the likelihood of a scenario may be increased or decreased based on reported experiences for the national average. Sometimes the percentage difference between genders may be smaller or larger depending on the situation, but all mentioned will have a noticeable difference that sends ripples across the lives of Americans. Not all mentioned may occur frequently nor apply to everyone's experience.
    It is an unfortunate fact that many male-presenting individuals face discrimination for their gender.
    Women are not required to register for the draft like men must in the U.S. Women receive lighter sentences compared to men. Homeless men are the last to receive a slot for temporary housing if women/women with children are on the same waitlist. Men are less likely to receive custody of their children. Male domestic violence centers are nearly nonexistent. Men are less likely to receive aid or treatment after being sexually assaulted. Men are often pressured into or expected to not care about themselves, including health, self-worth, and emotional self-care. Men are often pressured into paying for a woman and/or buying gifts.
    By the same token, it is my moral obligation to also stand for female-presenting individuals. Unfortunately, the U.S. has not completely resolved the following inequalities.
    In the same job with the same position, field, experience, qualifications, and interviewing style, men are more likely to receive promotions in certain career fields. This chance increases if the employer/promoter is of the same gender. Women are more likely to be targeted for sexual assault, sexual harassment, violent crimes, domestic abuse, and malicious manipulation ("gaslighting" and other similar mental and emotional manipulation). Women are less likely to be seen as an authority figure. People are less likely in general to listen to a woman than a man in spite of identical dialogue and delivery. Women are less likely to be voted into public office. Men are more likely to be trusted over women. Women are more likely to be pressured into domestic work while men are more likely to be pressured into work outside of and/or away from home. Women are less likely to receive benefits, acknowledgements, achievements, positions, raises, and a higher income than men in an identical situation.
    These lists are by no means exhaustive. My point in listing these inequalities is to show that there is so much to be worked on even in a first world country, and we can't squabble over who has it worst if we want to take any steps towards change. I do not have the answers to all of the different levels of discrimination and prejudice, intentional or not, and I can't say where we'll be in 5 or 10 years. It's my hope that we can look past the semantics and the radicalists' chants and find the common ground we share: every person deserves an equal opportunity in the pursuit of happiness.

    I think you did a great job with some valid points. Except women do pay more for health care, as they are more prone to make doctor visits. Where as men tend to ignore medical issues that seem minor to them. However men pay higher rates on car insurance, as they are more aggressive behind the wheel. It's not about sexism, just rates based off statistics.

    Yeah, I will never understand why people find it offensive to state the fact that men are biologically meant to be built stronger for combat purposes. Nature is just like that.

    shameless or not , saying you are making a video for the views and money even outright still isn't respectable. TH-cam before the careers set in were about having fun or making content you are happy with making.

      michael hall Marlena Phelps I am not asking him to do anything, just saying my opinion like everyone else is allowed to do like you did just now. I understand you are just reacting to my post, but in a very immature way. You are subscribed too him I am sure as am I probably because you are at least even in the slightest a skeptic. At least try to reason and understand someone instead of just being dismissive like every internet argument. If you have something constructive to say please do , but if not please don't make yourself look bad.

      ***** You can grow a passion for your job so it doesn't feel like its always about the money. You can put your heart into something without having to mention the obvious money and views being made. Also most jobs you get mostly arent your choice. You end up where you can get with your degree or opportunity and rep chose to do youtube.

    As a feminist, I completely agree with you. I tend to look at my mom and think; "You know, men are raped far more often than women are- why aren't we talking about that?" or, "Why is it that men are the ones to be drafted but women aren't either?" Just because it doesn't benefit one gender, doesn't mean they should be inequal. Both genders should amount to the same punishment. So I guess I'm that unicorn of the 'third wave of feminists'- unless I was left behind, despite being only 17.
