    I have a similar situation where my cluster failed and I put one from a different car in, it works, but now the oil warning light is permanently on even though the engine oil is fine. Is this just a matter of coding the cluster to the car?

      @DaringBeefcake  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would have expected there would be more issues with abs and airbag lights staying on, so if it’s only the oil light may be worth checking the oil level sensor by reading fault codes and deleting them, that may get rid of the light but may come back and then you may have to change the oil level sensor, which is located in the sump.

    I think its silly the cars don’t have some type of information storage so you don’t need to look for a cluster with the same mileage.

    • @davidhall3747
      @davidhall3747 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The PCM records the actual mileage of the vehicle.

    Silly question I know but did you also try the cluster test ? If so what happened. My Abs Asc and handbrake lights are On . Speedo does not work and total milage stays the same even if I drive . Did a cluster test everything moves as it should ...

      Daniel Fernandez LMT i sent it to a place called ECU testing where they check it and if found faulty they fix it and send it back. You can call them and ask them for the cost as I don’t remember.

    Could it be anything with the fuse box ?

      It could be yes. Depends on the faults you’re getting.

    Hello, I'm from Indonesia. I have the same complaint as the video, how to solve it? Do service the speedometer or check the wiring. I checked all the fuses, none were blown, all connected. Please help me

    • @DaringBeefcake

      May be try to disconnect the instrument cluster and reconnect and see if that helps, sometimes the connection can get dirt around it. Otherwise it may need to be repaired.

      Ok it looks like you have a faulty cluster, so there are some companies that check the microchip in the cluster and repair it. So it looks like that’s the next step.

    Hello, i have got the same problem, i bought an another one second hand, but when i changed it, the cluster turn on but the car don't start.
    Now, when i replace the old. The car don't want to start too. And definetly, my car don't want to sttout.
    Can you help me. I'm from France. Excuse my english. Thanks a lot

    • @DaringBeefcake
      @DaringBeefcake  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically the car would start even if the cluster is not plugged in, so it is possible that something else has happened while u were working on this, I’ve had issues like that before. Is the engine cranking? If it is then you may need to check if there is fuel at the fuel rail. If there is you may have to check if you have a spark going to the spark plugs.
