I sometimes forget just how much new stuff 7 brought to the table
Same but there’s no point to play it anymore because the only amazing elements added to the game became mainstream elements to the overall franchise and without those things like kart customisation, gliding and underwater racing it doesn’t have a core identity of its own that separates it from other mario karts which is kinda indicative of my problem with the game. You can just play 8 or 8 deluxe. The features are all there, there’s a bigger roster, more tracks and better ones at that, better graphics and better battle mode. There’s nothing unique about mario kart 7 anymore which is sad
@@l00kaTuRdAdm8 I just downloaded it on my brother’s 2DS lol. It came with the console. I haven’t really played the game too much but I remember Rainbow Road. THAT map was memorable. I hope my brothers have some fun times on the game
@@l00kaTuRdAdm8 Mario Kart 7 handles completely differently than 8. This is what has kept me going back to 7, and is probably one of the reasons why it’s still popular online.
@@l00kaTuRdAdm8the same applies to Mario Kart Wii. Half pipes? In Eight Deluxe. Bikes? In Eight Deluxe. Tracks? Almost all in 8 Deluxe. The Roster? ALL IN EIGHT DELUXE. What about Items? Well, the POW Block and Thundercloud aren’t in 8 deluxe, but that’s for the better. And the Mega Mushroom is actually GOOD in Tour. If there’s no reason to return to 7, why is there a reason to return to Wii?

That’s why we may not have Mario Kart 9! They’re gonna go straight to 10 like Windows did. So many questions has been answered. Windows 9 didn’t exist because Windows 7 did and we may not get a Mario Kart 9 because this game did.

VS Mode means that you can play any course you want with your own settings. I don’t like having to play a whole cup over and over.

4:02 call it a hunch, but Neo Bowser City may or may not have been inspired from Mario and Luigi: Dream Team(or Mario and Luigi Dream Team Bros depending on where you live in the world) because in that game, Bowser wishes himself a castle with the Dream Stone which can grant wishes and he calls it Neo Bowser Castle. Pretty cool reference that almost nobody got

This may be my favorite mariokart game. The only bad thing about it is that all the amazing retro tracks included in it mean that we didn't get glorious hd remakes of those tracks in MK8, haha. (And Waluigi not being playable, but I like Wigler, and it's not as bad as Waluigi being absent from Smash Ultimate)

How Mario Kart 7 is Mind Blowing to me:
1. The music in this game is just too good! Especially in Rainbow Road, when I first heard the transitions in certain portions of the race, I actually started crying. It was like it was made by angels!
2. I love how Rosalina’s voice echoes. If I’m being real, I never stopped playing as her because of it.
3. Neo Bowser City is esthetically amazing to me.
4. Is it just me or is battle mode really fun?
5. You can have up to 8 people playing in multiplayer! Name one other Mario Kart game that does that.
6. Yoshi. I’m sorry, but he’s just too cute for his own good.
7. I like how DK Jungle uses one of the main melodies for Donkey Kong Country. Very clever!
8. I think it’s amusing that Wiggler gets mad after he gets hit by an item. Sure he’s the first and probably only one to have a post-reaction to getting hit, but I just think it’s interesting.

The tanuki suit is probably one of the worst item of all time in mario kart : It's useful only if you're near other characters but you get it more often when you're first; while using it, you can't hold another item (which means you can collect other item boxes if you get this item), and finally it's impossible to "throw it away" if you don't want it (like a banana or a shell), you're forced to use it and to keep it for a certain period of time (and once this period of time is done, you're totally defenceless because you can't hold another item). The only existance of this item makes me not wanting to play this game, even thought I think it's good...
It does help at collecting coins though
