How do I come up with my tattoos ideas, and what inspires me? It's hard to find new and original tattoo ideas, but in this video I mention three different ways I find my inspiration for my tattoos ideas, and different ways for others to get inspired as well. I also discuss tattoo flash and why i decided on color tattoos VS black and grey.

Everyone is going to say this, but that lip color is life and you look amazing!
All of my tattoos so far represent a happy moment in my life.
It was subtle, but I remember standing on a sand bar in Florida with my best friend, we were the only ones there, the water was clear, sand white, and a group of string rays swam around us, curious, then left. So one of my tattoos is a group of sting rays. :3 Just a moment that stuck with me for whatever reason.
I wish so badly we could be real life friends 😔 you have so positively affected my life by showing me that being yourself and liking what you like is cool. I'm 24 and only within the last year have I started to figure that out. You've also shown me that a little bit of confidence goes such a long way. Your independence has helped me create my own. I think you're a gem.
I hope you're in a better place now, but you're not alone. I am 23 and still figuring out things about myself. it takes time and every journey is different.
As a dutch person i can tell you, we call those tile's delfts blauw. As in the blue thing from the city Delft. And im pretty sure we bought them from the chinese at first :D

I like your process on lyric based tattoos... I've wanted to get something based off a song by my favorite band but I'm really not keen on having words tattooed on me either, especially song lyrics since those can get lengthly. I like your idea for getting music-inspired images a lot, so thanks!

Dude thank you! You talking about imagery made my angel come more into focus and she's starting to come together a bit more in my head. I also added a wolf, and this is the first time I've thought of doing that. I want a silver fox and a doe, to represent my dad and myself (our Native names) but I've never considered a wolf. Much appreciated!
The other night, I was working but wearing a top that revealed some of my tattoos. I had more than one person pulling at my top so they could reveal the tattoo and read it...and then one turned around to me and said "Why get a tattoo if you don't want people to read it?" When I tried to move away. PERSONAL SPACE. You don't own me and I don't owe you. My tattoos are mine, for me. Really pisses me off.

I think a good way to get inspired is to do things like create a pinterest board where you can place all your tattoo ideas in one place. Also as you said have a notebook and fill it with picture, words, and drawings for tattoo ideas. :)

i love that you talk with your hands because no matter how many videos of yours I've watched or how long I've followed you, I still cannot keep my eyes off of your tattoos! Images instead of words! I totally agree with this. I hate tattoos that are screeds of text - leave typography to the typographers. As you say, an image is so much more powerful.

that is actually really clever about the way you do your lyric tattoos. I actually never thought of it like that like I was just about to get tattooed on my favourite songs like just the title names but now that you put it like that and we have more interesting tattoos now. And I also feel that was very good explaining today

I find that my tattoos have been so far inspired by things that I find to be my favorite things(Hammerhead Shark/Manta Ray and a Darth Vader half-sleeve on my forearm). Later I was thinking my next tattoos might have something to do with mythology because I find Egyptian/Greek Mythology and dragons fascinating.
I do find that going to an aquarium or zoo and taking pictures can help too because it can help you see something interesting(even if it isn't an animal it might just be the environment that inspires you)

the shop I go to is known for it's flash. basically once a month and most holidays, all 6 artists that work there will offer 10-100 of their different drawings as flash, and once someone gets it done, they take it down. so they are flash but they are also all one of a kind. (:
