  • This slow-mo footage from our 2021 whitetail field test shows Iron Will Single Bevel Broadheads rotating through the entire pass-thru on both live and bone targets. The goal with these tests is to ensure durability and performance by putting the same broadhead through as many targets as possible in a short amount of time, so we can make any final adjustments before offering them for sale and standing behind them with our Lifetime Guarantee.

    We would like to thank John Cassimus for hosting our team of field testers at his target-rich Sawtooth Plantation.

    Are the flight characteristics of the single bevel the same as the double bevel of the same size?

      @IronWillOutfitters  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, we have found this to be true in our testing so far.

    Awesome video. love the slow motion shots. Great i mean absolutely great company. From there customer service to there media guys and all the way to the owner is absolutely nothing but professionalism, respect, open mindedness & intellegence. If your considering buying ironwill im not paid or sponsored to say this stuff. Its just an honest opinion from someone who loves archery and hunting and knows how good it feels to spend your money on a product and still feel like your getting a good deal.

    Absolutely crazy how in the beginning you can see the arrow hit and the fletching wrenching around from the single bevel turning over

    Anxiously waiting for my pre-ordered heads to come in. I’m really glad y’all finally decided to make a single bevel head!

    This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Looks like the rotation not only continues but increases upon impact. Left bevel might actually tighten upon impact because of this.

    Hey guys has anyone else noticed that in the slow mo once the arrow contacts the animal the bevel angle causes it to turn faster than the fletchings had the arrow spinning..? This would slightly unscrew your broadhead if it wasn’t on tight (screw on a broadhead and test it!) The producers of tuffhead in one of their videos about bevel angel argue that they don’t produce left bevel because left bevel would come unscrewed but that is exactly the opposite of the truth if you pay attention to the fact that a broadhead rotating through flesh has a faster rotation due to the 25+ degree bevel turning faster in a solid medium than a 6ish degree helical with air as a medium. Left bevel broadheads only come unscrewed during the retrieval from your foam target, as the broadhead turns but the arrow is still.

      I have thought that was the case all along and this just confirms it.

    Ive been shooting mechanical broad heads for 2 seasons now..today I hit a 10 point in the shoulder with a swhacker broadhead...arrow was crushed and broadhead wasnt found...no deer.. tracked for half mile blood trail dried up...Im going heavy wont make this mistake again...I was using Axis 400 grain arrows with 100 grain broadheads with 70lbs on the bow mathews

    It'd be nice to see people test these out of traditional bows where you REALLY test a BH's performance. Almost any cut on contact broadhead can bust through a shoulder like that out of a compound...

      For this test, we're just trying to show the rotation of the single bevel, more than anything. We 've had lots of customers getting pass thru's with 40 pound recurves on whitetail though. Good idea to show some recurve test shots as well though!

    Like to see a heavier (elk,moose, beef) shoulder blade used, and hit in the thicker areas.

    I'm curious, what were the specs for the bow and arrow used here? Mostly looking for total arrow weight, then draw weight and length.

    A buddy is getting some newer heads( from iron will) and is selling me his single bevels. They are the regular. Am I gonna regret getting these instead of the wides?

    • @IronWillOutfitters
      @IronWillOutfitters  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, they both work great. Just make sure your vane orientation matches your single bevel rotation.

  • @brandondodgen1066
    @brandondodgen1066 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does the bevel change the rotation of the arrow after impact if you have a left helical rotation off the bow?

    • @IronWillOutfitters
      @IronWillOutfitters  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You want to match the fletching direction to the broadhead left/right bevel, so when the broadhead impacts that rotation is continuous.
