Parpoje kar dijiye bhai jaan.
Motherly figure ❤
No taam jhaam.
If your basics are strong, you don't have to overpower food with masala or cream. 😊
'Bandel Cheese' is a 400 years old cheese introduced by the Portuguese in their erstwhile settlement in Bandel, Hooghly district.
At present, only one family in the whole world is making this unique cheese. It's made from pure cow's milk & is totally artisanal handcrafted :)
Thank you for the history...would love to have
@@indraajeetsengupta8207which one family is making it?
Thanks for info...if you know write where people can purchase that cheese ? Foodies may be enthusiast
@@SB-yl1oy The family is presently located in Bankura district of West Bengal
I purchased some from New Market. Excellent.
Kolkata's Awadhi cuisine is the next level of gastronomic R&D by the Nawab's cooks. Making subtle changes considering local ingredients and weather to create a new lineage.
Great show Kunal :)
Bcos of seckulars like you Bengal is becoming bangladesh
Awadhi taste is always ahead of others. By courtesy of Mahrum Nawab Wazid Ali Shah the taste came to the then Calcutta. There may have been some so called cusines called authentic menue here and there in now Kolkata, but I am sure the Awadhi tastes have always been floating on top and will be in top forever. Kunalji you have got the real taste of authentic food.
Manzilat -- a very sweet name . Came to know about food as well as the history of food and also the connection between Kolkata and Lucknow . Hat's off to Manzilat ji .
Her history is as beautiful as she is. She looks a bit like Suchitra Sen( any one see that?) and potato actually came from Latin America. Must have been expensive. Which restaurant she runs? Need to order once I go home.😊😊😊
And Kolkata/ Awadhi biryani is the best..😅
Such an incredible video and informative too. Me being a Bengali, never heard of 'Bandel'(a station in Hooghly district) cheese. Wow...what a culinary experience. Thanks.
Mam you are just excellent.being a Bengali, residing in Kolkata and native of Murshidabad I must say there are so much history to know from you that has really linked us together.hats off to u you

She brings in a lot of Nawabi food cuisine, is there any book by her available? Atleast the cuisine will live by her books in the future
Loved the program and hope to taste Manzilat’s cooking someday. Awadhi cuisine came to Kolkata with Nawab Wajid Ali Shah. This fact is actually very well known. There are many a book on this including references to moti dana biriyani. May be Manzilat can recreate the magic of the famed dish.
the modern day hindi and urdu languages, both were standardised right here in colonial-era Kolkata, at a place only 8km away from my home.
Wonderful! I'll be dining there soon. Looking forward to it

That very good fact that every one will know about the potato & meat story sir❤
So raising and feeding goats for many months or many years is less expensive than reproducing patato.
@@Cj-nr9nxpotato wasn’t grown here. It was imported thus it was expensive. Potato farming only begun in late 19th century along with tea.
Such a good video 👏🏽👏🏽
Serving potato was a delicacy that time. Tradition came from Portugal to India.
