In this video I show how to replace the handbrake cables in a Mk1 VW. This procedure is the same for Golfs (Rabbit in the US) as well as Cabriolets.

I definitely will add that to my list of things that need to be filmed. I have one vehicle where I need to remove the tank...I’ve just been avoiding it because it requires rear beam removal. Rear beam removal isn’t hard, it’s just tedious and opens up many other repairs.

I have problem with my alternator belt he makes chirping sounds its in good condition what should i do ,should i change it or what.

From what I recall on my own alterantor: the alternator diode is faulty which means the alt is overcharging your battery OR loose belt. If you spin the pulley on the alt and it makes a sound could be a worn bearing too.

probably just needs tightened. I will be making a video on how tight the belt needs to be. They are often over tightened which is not good for the vehicle.

Just did my brake drums and this was the vid i was looking for adjust my parking brake haha. Are you planning to do side marker > blinking side marker mod for the turning signals? Been having some trouble with the wiring and my fuse #7 keeps blowing so I could be doing it wrong
