    This video stopped me from deleting this app from my phone. It had more information and useful images on using the app than the Hole19 support site. I will be trying it again on Monday. Thank you.

    I started playing in September of this year and finished my learning courses mid-october. I am now playing on our course, which is a 9 hole. I added the app last week and added the premium option. I used the app for the first time today. I was very happy to watch your video as I used the app just for scoring and saw the other options after finishing my round. I played 3 pars today and would have loved to be able to come back to it later and see the evolution. Thanks!!

    Been a golf logix user for years. Hung up my clubs for a couple(back issues) and the new version sucks. I am really working to understand by club distances, long / short / avg for Tournament play next year. Hoping Hole19 can provide that detail in my practice rounds. Thanks for your review and quick comparison to some of the highly rated apps in this space.

    I use this on android and shot entry is even easier. It auto-selects club and if that is correct you simply walk up to your ball and hit + . If its not correct (you missed the fairway or ended up in a bunker) it gives you a couple of seconds to edit it with a dropdown, not a fiddly scrolly thing. Certainly its usually less than 10 seconds to take phone from pocket, turn on, record shot, turn off, re-trouser phone. Mostly 5 seconds.

    • @ForetoFourGolf
      @ForetoFourGolf  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s great information, thank you! 5 seconds is less than what most golfers spend before they pull a club, so that is no problem at all!

    Do you use a Golf scoring or GPS app? If so which one? If not, why not? Would love to hear your thoughts

    • @LetsPlayThru
      @LetsPlayThru 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I have it on I use my Garmin S 62. The scoring works very similarly. You choose the club you used after it senses a swing. It knows how far it went because the next time you swing it records the data.. Pretty ingenious

    • @ForetoFourGolf
      @ForetoFourGolf  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lets Play Thru Golf Travel Show that is clever! Is it accurate at sensing the shot vs practice swings etc?

    • @LetsPlayThru
      @LetsPlayThru 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fore to Four Golf yes it’s uncannily accurate. I think a strike has different vibrations off the ball. That’s the only thing I can figure. Every once in a while a chip shot doesn’t register. But that’s the only time.

    • @ForetoFourGolf
      @ForetoFourGolf  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Excellent video and explanation; premium features have a good price in Australia but in Spain are 50€ paid yearly with only 14-day free trial. Before moving to Premium, Is there a way of placing the right location of the pin into the green the pin is not in the middle to get a more accurate measure?

    • @ForetoFourGolf

      Thanks for the comment Alberto, I haven’t used the app in some time but I’m sure the team would have been developing features such as this. I’m using arccos now and it is certainly possible via that system

    I've used hole 19 for two years and just upgraded to premium yesterday. Great review. I wonder if it adds duffed shots to your shot average when using shot by shot. I'm excited to see if will start giving me accurate yardages after a few rounds

    • @ForetoFourGolf
      @ForetoFourGolf  4 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @thehairygolfer
    @thehairygolfer 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don't look at stats anymore. I do concentrate on 'bogie' holes and why I might have 2 or 3 holes a round I mess up. It could be nerves or it could be water I have visited too many times in the past. If it's nerves I can conquer that by practicing the hole or tee shot. If it's getting stuck in hazards then changing my tee club to avoid them. I don't need to worry about my good holes or the really hard holes I take a bogie on most of the time (because my second shot is 200+ yards off a good drive) - I am a handicap golfer after all. It's the holes I muck up when I shouldn't. The stroke 14 hole where I average 4.56 when it should be 4.1

    • @ForetoFourGolf
      @ForetoFourGolf  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I get it, the stats aren’t for everyone. Even the basic scoring and gps features are good and reliable though.

    Can you forward your score using the app to MGA directly or do you have to input the score hole by hole (or overall) separately?

    • @ForetoFourGolf
      @ForetoFourGolf  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not 100% who/what MGA is, but if a handicapping system I don’t think it has any direct input…you’d have to submit a card/score as you would normally. I could easily have misunderstood the question 😂

    • @lukelongley7225
      @lukelongley7225 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fore to Four Golf - I am at the moment, I started with the free version of Hole 19 and I have switched to 18 Birdies for 2 main reasons, firstly you can enter your scores on either the app or on Apple Watch in the free version and secondly I prefer the maps. They are the same images from google earth but one thing I didn’t like about Hole 19 is that you could move the map around much when looking at a hole, and see what dangers lie perhaps at the back of the green, 18 Birdies let’s you do this. I’ve only been playing golf a couple of months so very new to this, but so far like the app. Also, it includes a swing analysis tool where you can film your swing and it will tell you what you are doing wrong and suggest drills to improve.

    I've given this app many chances, I can't get over how crappy the maps are unless you pay for the app. I use 18Birdies because of this. I just wish 18Birdies had a cheaper option without all of the AI Coach and stuff like that and just focused on the scoring stuff. I have tried premium of Hole19 and the maps still weren't good. I have communicated several times with their support team and get no where.

      Thanks for the reply Josh, a few others have suggested swing u and golfshot, I personally haven’t used them or 18 birdies. Since making this video I’ve been using arccos, and that suits me but one thing that isn’t is free. Appreciate you watching and hope you find something that suits your needs soon.
