- In this DIY video, I demonstrate how I changed out my oem shift boot for an aftermarket shift boot with a custom pattern from Dboy Shiftz. Removing the old shift boot was straightforward, and requires you at the most to use a 14mm wrench, #2 Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, needle-nose pliers, and a 90° pick tool. I hope this video provides you guys with the confidence to perform a similar install on your own. (SHOUTOUT to @fk7_khai for showing me this shift boot in the DM's!). Cheers and happy modding!

I agree! there's one on the steering wheel as well. I put an "Si" carbon fiber sticker i got off from amazon to hide it. looks way better now, i wish i could replace the ugly trim piece below the shifter with something else though.

Is this the same for a CVT tenth gen civic?
So helpful! Do i get any error Codes if i remove the cables how you did or do i have to disconnect the battery?
It's recommended to unplug your battery before working with car electronics, but it's not necessary. If you do unplug the battery, expect the car to flash warning lights on the dash for the first startup. But after a few miles of light driving and another restart the codes should go away, assuming your car has no other existing issues 👍

I believe so, except for the mudflaps I think all the other mods should be similar in fitment to a Civic hatchback

Yessir. You don't need to replace the collar if you're replacing the boot, but the acuity collar is nice to have if you plan on replacing your shift knob 👌

I don't think the boot's are cut in the same shape, but the boots are most likely held into the shifter surround the same way with upholstery staples.

Yeah man they sell like hot cakes when they restock since they're in high demand 😮. I believe their shop team finishes them by hand and can only get 10-15 made every other week or so.
The only reason I would not order one is because they put that tag on the shift boot. It's an eyesore and not needed.
Damn I hate that trim piece. it gets dirty, it get scratches, and reflects the sun at your face. I may wrap it or cover it up with a piece of fabric.
