I originally ordered the 2023 model, but then they notified me that it was discontinued after making me wait a full year and a half. I opted for the 2024 model, and the price was a gut punching +$11000. I said okay, maybe the car can win me over, and they told me they can get me on a car for a subject to test drive purchase by jan-feb; its march now and that's not even possible still. I just canceled my order and fortunately found a very good condition 2nd hand private sale of the hornet yellow the new c-hr no longer comes in. The value proposition from what you actually get and how you get it does not fit the bill at all from toyota and their car dealerships. I recommend passing on this car and buy whatever you can immediately drive away with.
yep but a honda isnt as luxurious neither as powerfull as the upcoming dual motor plug in hybrid that makes 300hp with an awd system a chr is the better option for a family since its more comfortable in long trips but a zr-v is a bit bigger
I bought a plugin. It makes more sense to me. I drive less than 50km per day and expect to use gas in longer trips only. Perfect solution to me. Hybrids are good but people will only buy them if they can't afford a phev. However, you'll recover that extra initial cost. Also, Toyota gives a 10 year warranty.
Toyota now has a luxury price tag but nothing luxury inside, not a good choiced. There are other car brands that are just as reliable and does luxury better
Everything is just better in a Toyota. It is literally the most reliable car maker in the market. Do you have any idea what's under the hood? You have no idea what you are talking about.
@@josebenedico7379there are no similar brands. Lots of over priced brand names but none come close to Toyota. It is the most reliable brand in the world.
That's why are a lot people are going with Chinese brands now for affordability. The Japanese are going with fixed pricing and they are in high demand, high wait times for the Hilux, Rav 4's. A top spec Corolla hatch non hybrid is around $40,000 AUD.
it may sound like a lot but its not since price inflations are upcoming if thats not in ur budget get a kia and huyndai thats why they maintain their prices. once again toyota listened to the complains and made the chr a powerfull sporty looking suv with enough luxury comparing to a 2022 mercedes glc
No one gonna talk about this getting a GR badge? I thought Toyota was better then this. Stop slapping your sporty badge on every shitbox with fake aero and sporty seats.
Those prices are completely ridiculous, count me out. I’m now starting to wonder how much the updated RAV4 cost, maybe 80 grand for the top of the range ?
I have noticed, that panoramic monitor and transparent view under the vehicle is not accurate and works not the same as moving backwards? Backwards the view under the vehicle is clear and objects, road lines, signs, road bumps and potholes are visible. Isn't it?
Hi Toyota cherge 650 aud for window tint for this CHR 2024 is normal or window tint included for the price for toyota CHR KOBA HYBRID let us know? For australia
Fun fact, if you take this money into the Chinese car market, you can get a high spec discounted Taycan, aka the SU-7, with a better look, more space, 100kwh battery and 600 HORSEPOWER!!
So, I understand C-HR stands for “Coupe-High Rider”. Therefore you shouldn’t buy it if you’re using the rear seats for anything other than a couple of bags of groceries that don’t fit in the tiny boot. Toyota are taking the piss charging this much for their vehicles. They are being seduced by the waiting list for their vehicles. You may as well get a Lexus.
the review would have been nicer if you behaved and spoke more normal ... there won't ever be an Oscar reward for car reviews ... so, just talk like a normal human being.
It is expensive for what it is though, you can get much more car for lesser price… Kona Hybrid N, CX-30, Corolla Cross, this is ridiculously priced for what it is, I wouldn’t even blame the dollar. I’d blame Toyota for missing the mark.
CHR is what we call style over substance 😂😅 yae it looks good but very bad practicality and it’s not a timeless design either unfortunately. hope people skip this car
Long story short, another typical Toyota ripoff for a boring car that still has a basic as f**k interior. No thanks. Equally good competitors now offer a lot more niceties for less money.
Genuinely this is getting out of hand. This should be no more than $40k
Agree looks great but not a mid 50k's car, likely handing sales to the newer brands in Australia.
Should be 30k
Why , compared to what etc?
@@Sean-sz7zoliterally other toyotas featured in the video. rav4
Totally agree. Way overpriced.

This car costs the equivalent of $87,000 here in Ireland. You Aussies don’t know how good ye have it,
$60k for a small suv...tell em they're dreamin
Mad respect for calling out the short comings and not just suckling at the nipple of big car companies. long time veiwer and will remain. great work
Love the editing of the video and your reviewing style, more youthful and enthusiastic compared to other corporate type reviews
the honda zr-v e:hev is $55k driveway and it's a bigger car.
I’m getting an atto 3 thanks

Wow this Toyota is incredible 😊
1st car review I ever seen on the Tulla....so impressed.
I need this CHR with a manual Transmission.
"For practicality with the same thing under the skin, you can choose corolla cross"
I ended up buying both 😂

It’s a little pricey, but that’s quite ambitious haha
That’s generous
It costs a lot more than that just to manufacture
@@jay-uo2biIt's a tiny car with toyota interior, how expensive could it be to manufacture?

What a massive downgrade. 😂😂😂😂😂
So the same price as a top Camry Hybrid ZR, mid RAV4 XSE hybrid, or Hilux SR5 4WD DC Ute.
I like the previous gen better in terms of appearance. I'm not really feeling the new light design

Might just be me, but crossovers like this really don't do it for me looks wise

It’s no different to m sport or f sport. It’s not a GR. Worry not.
Another great review... can you please take a look at the 2024 Yaris range
You should test drive a Ford Puma ST-Line V, or just a Puma in general before they are gone forever.
fail - no SPARE WHEEL of any type. Just can of glue. Useless out of an urban area
Those prices are completely ridiculous, count me out.

Ridiculous compared to what ??
Drag Coefficient CD of 0.31. That is pretty high for a car these days.
What is it about the skinny width of the tyres? Looks a little lacking given the overall style.
1:39 you guys need to have the volume down or Matt will give you Nasty surprise 🤣

For the same price you could buy a nicely equipped used Lexus NX, RX or Toyota RAV 4 and some of same tech is already in those vehicles.
Looks awesome 😎
Insane Toyota prices after covid and yet nobody complain to accc about price gouging .
EXPENSIVE

Did you realise that the 2024 CHR does not have autolocking doors? Yes door handle does close flush but door doesn't lock!

Even dearer in the UK equivalent to about $80k, so lost interest quickly
Road noise on these are horrendous...absolutely no insulation you get noise fatigue on an hr drive. Extremely gutless.
They must not want to sell them here in Australia 🦘 .... stupid price
Its the Antichrist of practicality for the sake of style and i hate it 🤮
Prefer the new Prius to this...we're getting shafted!
Love the old & new design from outside, but the power & internal is meh....
They gotta stop saying $60k is expensive or blaming makers for high prices. Not their fault $AUD is toilet paper.. its the Aus government

50k and no rear air vents? Good luck with that.

Where is your mate?
This is more than the Hyundai N cars 🤣🤣
Chr and juke twins both didn't age well in look department
Not for me. Too expensive and still has many of the shortcomings of the old model
Sorry but it's hideous. Toyota doesn't know when to stop adding crease-lines, awkward proportions and needless details.
Reduclous pricing
Sh!t practicality
Just buy a Hyundai i30N instead.
