I admire bajaj listening to customers feedback and delivering a even better product. Update might be minuscule but it's still an update done mechanically as per customers need other than visual updates with old tech.
minuscule? damn son... what else you wanted? a twin cylinder or completely new bike? they literally changed everything that mattered...usd, engine power, engine tech, exhaust, gears, braking, Instrument clusters, color....
Too little, too late I guess.. Looks radical in this Kawasaki green. It's anyday a better buy than the ridiculously priced Duke250. Love the new machined mirrors!

Dominar is much more badass than Duke 390, in my head it's like that Hooligan who has become calm over the years, grown bigger, but if you open it up...YOU know what a hooligan he really is.
Duke 390, even with all that power and so less weight feels like it needs to prove itself. It has anger management (heating) issues, it's short tempered (frantic power delivery) and it doesn't really behave (doesn't go slow).

The truth is that none of the motorcycles above 2 lacs are practical, we buy them for their individual "dramatic" character. If there's no character in a bike, nobody would pay a substantial amount for it. You don't like my expression of the Dominar? Go buy a Splendor, and get a dramaless bike.
As someone in the comments said previously, this is most probably the only Bajaj that I would buy... true VFM bike in a market with lots of bells and whistles.
I've been owning one since last March..such a VFM product with excellent touring capability...👌

I went Philippines last month...and Filipinos love Bajaj bikes.....they are crazy for bajaj bikes even though many other bikes who compete bajaj are available...I felt so proud to see their love for Indian bikes and India...and here we go and run after imported bikes...this bike is the best value for money and its our own Indian bike ....Love this bike
I'm a Royal Enfield Lover ... But the Dominar has always surprised me ... Great performance ..great looks and extremely Capable 🤗
And the performance figures are Amazing 40Bhp 35 Nm 😱

Wow you guys are fast. I mean this has to be a first professionally shot review video of the 2019 Dominar 400. Good going Autocar India 👏
It's out of place talking about the dominar not doing well due it being heavy, vibey, and having a not so good suspension when comparing it to the ancient relic known as RE classic 350. The problem was that the Dominar was not meant for the kind of people that get an RE classic. Those are the kind of people that just want to make noise and show off and not do much else with the bike.
The Dominar is meant for those people who just want a precision tool to do the work, namely tour vast distances in less time and in comfort and that the Dominar excels at. It's a fantastic tourer (except for the small fuel tank). That's the market that Bajaj should have targeted right from the start. Bajaj is doing great with bringing in updates regularly as compared to some manufacturers whose updates are just skin deep or shall I say paint deep.
...dominar 2019 is the best bike ever to be made by bajaj !!...finaly I have started liking this brand !! ...hats off to bajaj for such a great machine !! 😍😍😍😘😘😘😎😎

Dominar is jack of all, master of none. Looks like commuter, has an engine from naked sport, tries to compete with classic old schools. Since its so confused about its targetted audience, audience is also confused about it. I think Bajaj should consider the engine the way they considered 200 cc from KTM earlier. Same engine, but 3 motorcycles equipped with the accessories for the targetted audience in mind.

Whereas its been 3yrs n u r saying that its gotta little old, similarly now u r getting excited abt RS400..... Wch ull feel gt old in some yrs.... Dominar is definitely the best choice available at its price segment and even beyond. It is expensive, but fairly priced for what it offers. The bike is visually stunning and has a truly beastly mascular look with comfortable stance and riding position. It is insanely stable on the highways even at very high speeds beyond 110 kmph and inspires a lot of confidence. This bike is not the best choice for tight traffic conditions demanding sharp manouverability, yet it is an immense pleasure when you get open roads and chances to rev harder or accelerate. Overtaking with the Dominar is a bliss and it returns a decent mileage of 33-35 kmpl if driven smoothly. A speed range of 80-90 kmph in the 6th gear delivers the best mileage. I own a Dominar and I'd say it far far better than all the REs combined, except the Continental GT, which I haven't laid upon my hands yet. Definitely a must-own bike if you have money and good roads.

Bajaj should really follow the nexa, Honda big wing concept where they sell their higher end bikes at a premium showroom, imagine paying 2.6 lakhs for a bike and giving it to service next to a bunch of ct 100s

Like I have always told everyone aaround m, instead of picking fights with bikes of other segments, Dominar would have sold crazy if it tried to create a segment of it's own. A Heavy naked sporty like dominar is no way gonna compete with retros and that's a shame for dominar to be competing in that segment.
Now bajaj realized it I suppose and is moving more towards the sporty side than the touring side. Dominar can tour alright but it's a high revving motor and it's only for people who like duke 390 or R15 will like the engine not for someone who will be the thumpers.
True. Instead of going for those shitty 'haanthi mat paalo' ads, Bajaj should have gone for better touring based ads that captures the true essense of the bike and its purpose.

People who choose this bike for touring will fell happy and sad at the same time . If the rider uses a tank bag then he should forget about second cluster 👎.
They have provided few hooks under the back seat. It can be used for carrying luggage.
There would be after market custom tank bag for this dominar with second cluster, so not that of issue, there are many things to praise.
I have a boxer 150x will never sell it, it's a pony, kind, warm, reliable, working motorcycle,, I like the Bajaj, the price, the quality is very good, I think to take the Dominar, came to the salon and Dominar No, well buy, think spring buy, the manager said that the best buy the boxer and Dominar

If that were the case, the normal one's sales would have dropped even lower and would end up getting discontinued.
They wont, as the 399 adv will come first.

Good thing that Bajaj rectified the issues of the previous model. Not all of them were fix but at least now it has a gear indicator, usd forks and lastly, that green variant does look cool!

Everything is fine.. except the fuel tank capacity should have also increased.. morover if u tour & use a tank bag, forget the 2nd instrument cluster..

Bajaj has thrown all premium parts in this beast ,These new looks sexy like z800 ,1000 .. power is also good 40ps better then other bike in these segment...bajaj is improving but its lil bit late for what they saw on atu expo 2013 here the same bike ...but its here what you say about it should upgrade to 2019 ???
RE is a classic styled bike and dominar can never replace that Bajaj should have tried making some thing retro like Yamaha XSR series instead

Finally a freaking gear indicator on a bajaj bike! Iam impressed!, fuel range, dohc setup, new color, all are good. Just wishing an adventure variant of this comes soon. Common bajaj, you can do it, if you think! Still even now adv bikes under 2 lakhs is still very limited, Himalayan is the only one and Bajaj can surely give some competition if they think so.

Trust me, the bike was failed two times just because = 1. There was too much vibrations and 2. Bajaj service center technicians do not know anything about this machine.

my friends had toured on this bike to laddakh, whole east india, bhutan...never had to face the problem...so its still good to go

It is so wierd that Bajaj does not offer much colour options unlike their competitors. Which is one of the main reason many people don't buy Bajaj bikes.

Why not bajaj reduce the seat height of Dominar 400 ?
With 800 mm its too much for short rider who is 5'5 or below.
Short rider had a real problem in city traffic especially in hilly areas.
Foot rest also need to move little forward if the bike is meant for touring long distance.
My brother always had a tough time during city traffic.

Love the Bike !!!👍👌 But, Just like others have mentioned, WHY GREEN 🤔? All the Bikers out there know the fact that,
ORANGE = KTM
GREEN = Kawasaki
but that aside, Dominar has always been a head turner (Atleast for me initially when it was launched). Never got a chance to try it. But now in 2019, I believe they must have worked on it well.
